Use INSTR to extract a piece of the string?

The guys from morning and Happy Friday.

I have a situation where I have to take advantage of the string by using a select statement.

Here's the chain I have to get the content between the 2nd and 3rd backslash. So basically I have to extract marypoppins. Any ideas?

Here's where I started... and I've fallen on trying to find the 3rd backslash. I can easily start the INSTR 4 because I know that he will always be "C:\". »

    Hi Tulip.

    What you ask is likely not possible in number.

    Cells in a table of numbers can act as "containers" for images. Images can be placed in the cells only as a 'picture fill", which is the 'format' rather than 'content '.

    'Format' can be changed by using a formula.

    You might try experimenting an AppleScript script to copy the actions you would take to make the transformation thi "by hand." While such a solution may be possible, it is not one that I can recommend.

    To include images that can be changed according to what data are placed in another field in the record, you will need to probably upgrade the capabilities of "Manager of the list" numbers to a real database application, like FileMakerPro, making fields "container" include that can contain an image 'data' rather than 'filler '.

    Is there an easier way to search a text / word of a string in the row of cells, and where a match is found back a header text - see the example below.

    The left table contains the initial positions of conformity in groups of companies. I would like to complete the table on the right with compliance positions indicated in the table on the left, using the header text (red zone). Example 1 shows that "C company" is not in line with the left table and returns a "Non-compliant" in the relevant cell for company C. Example 2 A company, C and Z are in line with the left table and returns "comply" in the relevant cell in company A, C and Z respectively. It goes the same for the partial.

    The lines must also be aligned as shown in the left column will contain a single reference (not shown in the example).

    My current approach was to simply build a small matrix and use IF (COUNTIF ($E5, "* company A *" "'), 'In line'," "") - this works fine, but is a bit messy - obtained above table, it's really what I like o would reach.

    I also tried to use nested 'FI', 'find', 'Index' and 'Match' combinations, based on a few positions at the beginning, but not could not get the correct syntax.

    Would appreciate other solutions for the construction of the table to the right.

    I haven't used regular expressions before, and I can't find a regular expression to extract a subset of the string between two markers.

    The chain;

    From the string above (it is read from a text file), I try to extract the subset of string between ERRORS 6 and END_ERRORS. The number of errors (6 in this case) can be any number from 1 to 32, and the number of lines I want to extract will correspond with this number. I can provide this number of a caller VI if necessary.

    My current solution, which works, but is not very elegant;

    (1) using Match Regular Expression for the return of the string after you have synchronized the 6 ERRORS

    (2) uses the Regular Expression matches to return all characters before game END_ERRORS of the string returned by (1)

    Is there a way this can be accomplished using 1 Regular Expression Match? If so someone could suggest how, as well as an explanation of the work of the given regular expression.

    I used a character class to catch any word or whitespace characters.  This put inside parentheses a substring matching the criteria that you can get by developing the node for regular expression matching.  The \d matches the numbers and the two * s repetition of the previous term.  So, \d* will find the '6', as well as "123456".

  • Incorporate the binary string in the string spreadsheet file

    Hello LabVIEW wizards...

    So I use scripture to VI file spreadsheet to create a beautiful layout, tabs-delimited report of one of my programs for the acquisition of data file. In one of the cells in the resulting worksheet file that I want to put a binary string of all my control values so when you open the data file all the control parameters used for its manufacture are restored, but the string is hidden when the report is displayed in Excel.

    The problem is that the binary string flattened uses tabs and returns as part of its syntax the Spreadsheet File this VI to Write it's going in all directions. Worse yet, I can't unflatten chain when I open the file text because of "corrupt data or unexpected".

    If I concatenate the string flattened with quotes around it she is superb and is placed in a single cell in Excel, but when I open the file in LabVIEW that she is still several elements in the array. I've isolated the binary string using the file VI text reading and got a subset of the quoted string, but it still unflatten correctly.

    Essentially, I need to know how to get LabVIEW to pull a string literal full of special characters into a spreadsheet file and it unflatten. Any gurus what help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    I suggest that you change the formatting of your chain shipped by replacing the tabs and returns with other characters that are not considered as commands by the spreadsheet functions. Without knowing how you represent your control binary values, I can't offer specific characters.

    If two non-printable characters exist which do not appear in the control data, it's easy: just find and replace tabs and returns with those characters.  If there is no character, then something more complex needs to be done for example to escape special characters.  Or create two subVIs - one to remove the tabs and returns before writing the string in the file and the other to restore after reading.

  • Use regular expressions to extract .llb file from the path name

    I'm trying to be smart (always a dangerous thing) and use a regular expression to extract the name of a library to a filepath converted to a string.   While I appreciate there are other ways to do this, regex seems to be a very powerful way of neat, I would be able to operate.

    IE, if I have a string of type, C:\applications\versions\library.llb\toplevel.vi, I want to be able to extract the library.llb of the string, because it will be of variable length, may include the numbers & spaces and may be located in a file of variable depth hierarchy.   In other words, I want to extract the part of the string between the last-which ends with .llb

    The best I managed so far is \\+.*llb who all returned less the drive letter and the toplevel.vi

    Can someone help me to achieve this goal, or I'm better by using an alternative method (for example filepath string in array, search for .llb)

Doesn't make sense to me because the ink has absolutely nothing to do with the other functions. Since I bought this all in one I replace ink twice and I only printed about 10 pieces of paper for nine, making these extremely expensive 10 sheets!

    try reseating the cartridges once more & switch off the printer and remove power & other cables connected to the printer & press & hold the power for 20 seconds & then reconnect all cables back & then turn on the pritner & try to use that will solve the problem...

    For the life of me I can not find a function to extract a substring of an existing string.  The closest I could find was SearchSplit String and replace substring, but none of them do what I want.

    That's what I want to do:

    Assuming that the string "Test String", the letters are in positions as follows:

    Now correct the substring offset 5 on position 7 (length 3):

    In Java, for example, you can easily do this using the code below:

    Substring of String = str.substring (5.7);

    There are no simple function to do this in LabVIEW?  If not, what is the best way to do it?

    I tried \\\%s\\%s\\%s\\%s but the %s stops on the first white space.

    I'm struggling to extract strings from a file of tdms to write them in a txt file.

    The strings were written in tdms is a time stamp data recorded to a compact RIO.

    I put the chain in a different group from the PDM, but when I use the function read tdms with the group name, as I said, an error message is always take place.

    I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y650. On the bottom in the Center, there was a piece in the shape of x. This morning I looked at my phone and the piece was missing. I called tech support and they told me that because I lost the piece, they would consider of it customer damage. They also told me that I have to send my laptop to replace the entire lower cover. They said it would cost me $160 even though I have the guarantee of accidental total coverage. I was wondering what was the small part and if it is useful to make the lower lid replaced.

    Because I want to put all the translatable texts in one place, I defined a separate category for that. The .h file similar to below:

    I then called tr (TextConstants:WITCH_APP) in a different subclass of QObject. The problem is that the text "App switch" is not extracted from the .ts file, why? If I call tr() and skip the text "App Switch" like tr ("Switch App"), this text is extracted from the .ts file. Am I missing a few things to make it work? Thank you.

    I think you have misunderstood my suggestion.  I was only suggesting that you call the function tr() in your statement of constant ithat you posted nstead of QT_TR_NOOP(), not in other parts of your code, to see if the compiler accepts it and the chain gets extracted correctly.

    If this does not work, I'll try to track down the code of the work for the purposes of comparison.

    Sorry if I wasn't clear before.
