  When you use the internet, my virus detector asked if I would allow google chrome to download a newer version. I clicked on the decline, and then my internet has stopped working. I finally got back on, but now my computer won't let me use google chrome as a browser. It indicates that the internet connection is not available. I was able to use other browsers, but not Google. I tried disabling my firewall to see if it would work then, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? I'm afraid, that I blocked it somehow. Thank you!!

• Can not share the internet connection through Wifi

  Hi all

  I am connected to the internet using an external antenna connected via USB to my mac (WIRELESS n 801.11). I want to share this connection since my mac with other devices, i.e. my iPhone. I use the internet connection through system preferences--> sharing--> sharing internet--> connection on the part of wlan to computers via WIFI and give a name and a password for the wifi settings. When I start the connection icon wifi on the the high watch the arrow menu to the top, but it gives an IP address from 169 auto... etc etc and I can't any traffic to my iPhone.

  I tried to configure IPv4 to use DHCP with a manual (instead of automatic DHCP) address and IP I enter the IP address used in the WiFi, wifi says that it is connected to the name of the internet connection in the shared connection, I opened but once again no traffic to the iPhone. Also tried disabling the firewall, once again nothing.

  I run El Capitan 10.11.2.

• I lose the internet connection randomly but never lose my wireless network connection.

  I use a hp pavilion dv9500 with 64-bit vista sp2 and built in a wireless adapter that will fall randomly my internet wireless connection, but maintains my wireless network connection with an excellent signal strength.

I then manually disconnect from the wireless network and my computer will automatically reconnect to the network and to the internet. It takes about five minutes to fix, but it happens so often that it is getting boring. The process will not work if I only to reset the ip address and then disconnect from the network, only to reset the wireless adapter and then disconnect, or just disconnect from the network and reconnect. I have to reset the ip address and the wireless adapter and then disconnect from the network.

  The internet connection will tend to disconnect when I watch a lot of youtube videos, when I download large files like a game on steam, or just just randomly when I use it. • Windows 7 Dell computer laptop connects to the router, but the internet connection is spotty/slow

  I recently installed a new Comcast wireless gateway, which includes a built-in router.  My Ipod and Ipad work perfectly with this new router connection.  My Dell laptop, however, connects to the router without a problem, but it surfing the internet very slowly and sometimes can't access it at all.  The router connection remains strong during these periods of power failure, however.  I don't get online no problem when I connect directly to the router/modem with an Ethernet cable.  Network troubleshooting does not detect a problem, I have released/updated my IP address, and made sure I had updated drivers.  The issue still [persists.  Any input on what to try next?
