  I'm experimenting Photoshop Elements and wanting to use a layer of black and white (gray scale) I did as a mask of a another layer and do not know how to do in elements.  In Photoshop, I could do it (there may be a better way to do it in PS, but I've not yet discovered)...

  After you have added your layer mask, Alt (Option) click on the thumbnail of the mask layer in the layers panel, and then edit > paste.

  I am creating images of t-shirt and I have a problem: Spreadshirt says that my photos have very small objects in it, and they have too many different colors. (I can only contain 3) I want all the transitions between colors of color, but how to choose without going through a small spot of color in time? What is a way to remove only the transitions?   I use CS6.  If I use the option sampled colors, four buttons below the drop all remain active.  If I choose one of the predefined colors or or shades, all the controls between the menu drop down and the area preview get greyed out.  I tried this on several images of different types of files, on the base layer, (unlocked) but also a layer created for the test with the same result.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  This is the expected behavior for CS6. In PS CC, they have made changes to the shadows, midtones, and shadows, so that you can adjust the values.

• After you have installed the latest Pantone color library in photoshop, some colors are inaccessible

  I try to refer to a specific Pantone color in Photoshop. I want to use the color library browser, so that I can easily get an overview of my chosen color variants. The color, I'm working with is not available in the original Pantone Coated color book provided with my version of Photoshop. So I downloaded and installed the Pantone color Manager and checked the color I want IS identified in the book lying in the Pantone color Manager. Great! I saved the book of color as a .acb file and installed in Photoshop. But I can not yet select some colors. They exist in Pantone color Manager, but they are not searchable from within Photoshop. Very strange!

  Here are the steps I followed to bring the book of the color in Photoshop:

  1. launch Pantone Color Manager

  2. Select the formula Guide - coated color book

  3. perform a search for "2128" and ensure that color exists.

  4. choose Save as... and save the file with a .acb (Adobe color book) file. I named it "PANTONE + Solid Coated - V3.acb.

  5. exit Photoshop

  6 copy the book of color in books color file in Photoshop (/ Applications / Adobe Photoshop CC 2015/Presets/color books).

  7. start Photoshop.

  8. open the color picker and click the button "color libraries".

  9. choose my new book of color in the menu ("PANTONE + Solid Coated-V3')

  10 type '2128': not found (Photoshop shows me 212c instead).

  I scrolled the book color in Photoshop - color isn't here!

  What I am doing wrong?

  You want to export the color book. Then it must meet 2-1-2-8 in the Photoshop color picker and I would choose Lab as the color model during export.

  I would use the frequency spacing. While it is mainly used for skin retouching it works fine for other things where you need to separate the details of color:

  The 8500 has uses a printing mechanism where the ink cartridges are installed in the front left side of the printer and the print heads are internal.  The ink is channeled from the print cartridges for the in-house print heads.  With this printer, a question as it is usually an indication of a spurious print head.

  I would recommend printing a report of quality Print the Configuration menu > tools on the control panel of the printer.  This will help to give a better idea, if the problem is hardware (printhead) associated with the printer, or a problem of software with the driver on the PC.
