  I bought a genuine product Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard about 3 years ago. After the initial installation (with serial number) applications worked well (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.). However, I could only use Acrobat a few weeks before the software did not react more. After this time all pdf files can be manually opened with Adobe Reader, but not with Acrobat. Because Acrobat seems to be the default program to open pdf files, nothig happens if I double click on a pdf file, or if a pdf file to be generated from a site Web etc. At the beginning, I was able to reinstall Acrobat from the CD and it would work for a few weeks yet. This has been the case for the past three years. Now, even the resettlement option no longer works and the error message "Is not a real product from Adobe" is displayed during installation. As I said, all the other parts (Illustrator, Photoshop...) work fine and I don't have a product code, serial number etc. What could be the problem and how can I solve this problem?   When you proceed with the installation of the software, it will prompt you to enter the serial number to continue installation.

  If you have already installed the software, then whenever you first run the software, a window would come in indicating the no. of days remaining for the use of the trial as well as a dialog box to enter the serial number to activate.

  You can also launch the application and navigate to the 'Help' menu and select 'enable '. The activation screen came to get the serial number of your part, enter the serial number and the trial is converted to a full version.

  I am trying to install CS6 Design Premium (via CD) and CS5. However, I am denied installation because my serial number CS5 is not allowed (it seems that I have CS5.5).  All telephone lines are engaged. As well as the frustration, this would seem a very poor 'stealth' thing. I have countless copies of Adobe registered that goes back years and saw no warning about this prior to purchasing. Is the installation of CS5 impossible?

  Phew! I took your advice and after falling much of the telephone connection, I was able to talk to Prashant (representative of service Adobe in India) who was able to take create a number of (temporary) support to type me in the registration through the challenge code procedure dialog. That appeared to circumvent the problem of list drop-down registration and therefore allowed me to register... Finally!

  In hindsight, I am very grateful for your help and my chance to talk to Prashant who manages to solve the problem over the phone. However I suspect that this problem can happen to others and the solution seems far from easy phone queues when a long time ago and dropped connections add the tortuous mine field of which is simply a registration process!

  If this isn't the case, then Firefox might think that this is an octal number in numbers and in this case 8 and 9 are not valid.

  Check your Adobe account online.  If you have registered the software version should be shown there.

  Never share your serial number publicly... anyone can use it.

  Or open a separate account and request to transfer your individual copy of Acrobat for it. Then connect to that account on your computer to third and you should be fine.

  I've been tryig to install CS3 with a serial number from my old computer to my new computer windows 7.  I have installed and reinstalled and rebooted the computer, takes off firewall and everything I know to do.  I was chatting to Adobe several times during the day and nobody seems to be able to help me refocus on my computer. This is the message I get when I put in place: you can only install a single Adobe product at a time.  Please fill out the other installation before installing Adobe CS 3.  I had a computer specialist to analyze it and try to help me, even the screen sharing and could not understand it.  He told me to call Adobe and as you know there is no one to help you live that can be very frustrating when you've spent the day and exhausted all options.  I know it worked on my computer and the fact yet but I use is more than one.  Can you or someone from Adobe please fix this.
