Use to EXCLUDE in HBR

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone knows if the EXCLUDE command has definitely been excluded from HBR. We use v11.1.1.3.

Thank you

Brian

Unfortunately, it does not work for me either. I too have a 11.1.1.3 instance. I don't know about 11.1.2.

(Well enough), you can work around EXCLUDE with a PATCH and @REMOVE. Yes, this isn't the same thing and it should really be there, but it is close.

If it's any consolation, syntax in the calculation Manager check seems to EXCLUDE. If your need to EXCLUDE is great, maybe it's an alternative?

Kind regards

  • Form loses color when I use Pathfinder > Exclude to cut a hole

    I'm just following some instructions on how to cut a hole in a circle transparent, so that the bottom is visible through the hole with the help of Illustrator (CS5).

    This is my starting point. All backgrounds are disassociated from the individual objects, and all are a circle colored with a small white circle on top.

    Screen Shot 2016-09-26 at 16.00.20.png

    I then selects the white circle (the circle centre is white smaller circles on top one more large colorful circle) and the underlying green circle thus:

    Screen Shot 2016-09-26 at 16.00.36.png

    I then use the Pathfinder tool and exclude according to the instructions, but it happens:

    Screen Shot 2016-09-26 at 16.00.42.png

    Any ideas why the color disappeared rather than leave a green hoop with no way?

    If I do this on a clean game of darts, by creating a large green circle, then a small white on top and then Pathfinder / Exclude, it works fine. The green circle now has a hole.

    Thanks in advance.

    I discovered the solution of messing around with the tools of Pathfinder and has decided to leave this place in case someone else has the problem.

    Rather than use Pathfinder > exclude following the instructions, I used Pathfinder > less prominent.  This example uses the foreground object (if you have selected more than one object (i.e. two circles bunk in my example) like a strawberry and leaves behind a transparent hole.)

    The circles are now contours (I know I could have created circles thick contours in the first place, but I inherited file .ai Adobe Stock and therefore had to work with what I had).

    Hope this helps others.

  • Measurement of temperature using NI USB-6343

    Hi all

    Someone at - he temperature ever measured using an NI USB-6343 or something close to it? Encountered problems?

    I was reading on the device and it has been suggested that the conditioning of signals may not be required, and I'm a little worried...

    Normally I use a DAQ Agilent but this specific project, I'm working on that will require a unique moment and USB-6343 handles a majority of my problems along will be many examples of coding.

    -scrider

    Scrider,

    You want a device that has USB connectivity like the 6343? If so, we have several hardware based USB DAQ for thermocouples. The links below will show 3 devices, we have:

    http://sine.NI.com/NIPs/CDs/view/p/lang/en/NID/208177

    http://sine.NI.com/NIPs/CDs/view/p/lang/en/NID/201881

    http://sine.NI.com/NIPs/CDs/view/p/lang/en/NID/207471

    Now, I know that some of them will probably not ideal for your app, but I wanted to just give you options. It also depends on how fast you want your sample rate is. These devices are specific for the use of thermocouple, but you can still use them (excluding the tc01s) for voltage readings. I hope this helps!

  • Robocopy hangs when you try to copy a file which in use

    Hello

    I find that Robocopy hangs when you try to copy the file using, for example an Outlook .pst file. The behavior of Vista was not to copy the file according to the retry and wait switches from command line, which allowed the backup race move to the next file and finally finish. With Windows 7 the Robocopy session is suspended and resumes ever, even if the file she is trying to copy is closed.

    Is this behavior under Robocopy in Windows 7? Is it possible to get Robocopy to move to the file according to when he's trying to copy a file that is in use?

    Thank you

    Jason.

    "There is no need of me a pause in my script"-Yes, I understand [and should have done before].

    I just tested a network for the first time operation.  It hangs forever as your done even after I closed Outlook & waited for the w: 30 I put.  {I also ran with closed Outlook the first time just to make sure that the network itself had no problems}

    I read that you have provided the link.  This suggests that there is no solution.

    - - - - - - -

    You seem to be doing a lot more & probably more structured than mine operation, this workaround might not be of any use to you.  The other open files issue concerns a simple hourly backup of my kernel files that includes pst files.

    1 I xcopy all the files in a folder internal InterimBackup first.  Can I use XCopy or RoboCopy to send InterimBackup to the real destination.

    2 If Outlook is open then it will copy on InterimBackup and, if the previous Outlook.pst is still in InterimBackup she gets deleted by the attempt of xcopy.  [conclusion - XCopy verifies the existence of the replacement of a file, deletes it and only then discovered that the source file is locked and cannot be copied.]

    So I precede this with

    0 I run [if exists] copy D:\InterimBackup\Outlook.pst to D:\InterimBackup\Outlook2.pst

    The result is that whole process always ends but it only includes the last Outlook.pst that was available.  So I always make a point of Outlook to quit at some point during the day so that he could take part in this backup.

    If you have also tried this as a two part operation, your xcopy / robocopy in the folder InterimBackup would always succeed but would include only Outlook.pst if you had first closed the application.  Subsequent operation of RoboCopy would always succeed with the same possible omission.

    The downside of this might not suit your overall goal.  You'd have to RoboCopy separately all your others folder trees but keep the Outlook.pst in a tree that has not been included.  You could do this either by restructuring of your data or using RoboCopy exclude switches for the file Outlook.pst file.

    You have to accept that you might not be sure about the last time that the Outlook file had been included unless you had deliberately run the RoboCopy closing.

    I have reviewed this improvement by using Task Scheduler to respond in the event of closing Outlook and use it to initiate the copy outlook.pst to InterimBackup, then by running the part of the main operation on RoboCopy to this folder.  But my needs are so simple that I've never felt it's the logs of the events that I would have to put in place.

    As I say, it may not meet your needs.

  • exclude the binary menu search program start when indexing is disabled

    Platform: windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

    Research of indexing off

    I have shortcuts on the start menu, put in place to start Matlab with additional command line arguments so that it correctly detects the startup license file.

    However for some reason any on some of our windows 7 computers search for "matlab" in the search on the start menu, displays the usual since the start menu shortcuts, but also an additional entry that points directly to the binary MATLAB to its installation location.

    Problem is that the latter does not have the argumnets of additional to start with license command line.

    How can I exclude search results in the start menu to return the binary link? Note that indexing is disabled.

    This happens on a lab full of windows computers but not on another. The two laboratories perform the same versions of operating system and Matalb.

    Is there a registry setting or what I can use to exclude the binary installed to be returned in the search results?

    Hi people,

    I do big table re-organization, so my question is can I exclude statistics and index at the same time

    I am planing this activity as below, please advise me if I'm wrong.

    I am currently working on the API for an SDK that we send to employees. There are a bunch of methods and properties that we use internally within our application that do not need to be exposed to external developers.

    While I am able to completely cancel the documentation of the methods and functions using @private, I been did not using the [exclude (name = "someName", type = "method")] metadata tag. I tried to put the tag on the inside and outside of the classroom and tried to use () next to the name of method and sometimes not. I had success with the [obsolete] metadata tag remove the appropriate functions and the display of the warning and the tag [ExcludeClass] .

    I don't know how much detail I could be missing. Any thoughts?

  • How to do a full export and exclude specific tables of user

    Hi all

    It is possible to export all objects but one (or more) tables with expdp when you perform a full export?

    That's what I have in mind: (parfile)

    Directory = expdp
    dumpfile = Full.dmp
    logfile = Full.ELOG
    Full = y
    Exclude = table: "in ('userA.table_A')" "

    This par file encounters no error messages, but it does not exclude table_A in userA schema.
    I guess it's because that the will use her term is not interpreted as an owner.
    It is not a big deal to filter a table when you perform an export schema.

    I wonder if it's possible to do everything except a table from a full export. If so, I had value your suggestions.

    Kind regards
    Louis

    Louis,

    The exclude in DataPump parameter only supports the name of object, not the schema name. So, if you have only a table called "TableA", then you can simply use:

    Exclude = table: "in ('table_A')" "

    If you have more than one table called 'table_A', then the exclusion will exclude all the. There is no way to specify with a parameter exclude user_1.table_a.

  • Performance of Windows 7 is Terrible

    The start of stars are very cute. Windows that fly in and out and also a childhood dream. I love all the pretty icons that change size and color with what you are working on. Borders on windows are beautiful. I can not get used to Windows Explorer that borders a semi transparent and look like someone redacted information that surround it.

    All of these postings make me feel as I moved into a world created by opta. Now that MS has spent a ton of money with all the visual embellishments, how the * can I turn them off so I can get back to work? I don't remember a file of Windows XP, requiring more than an hour to copy from one disk to another. There are not enough hours in the day for me to wait for all this to go on and still do my job. Please no apology from Microsoft and none of the speculation of those who did not actually solve the problem.

    There is no reason the icon is big when I drag and drop to get a copy.  The copy area doesn't have to keep track of every byte transferred.

    Use the Windows classic theme and all these 'good' stuff will fade into oblivion, fortunately.

    R/click on the desktop and go to personalize.

    Regarding speed of Win7 - once Aero is disabled - Win7 is better than XP, more stable and much less

    may need to reinstall after a year or two that XP, but you should always do the same optimizations.

    Run Disk Cleanup and defragmentation of the HARD drive, particularly after the installation of software or Windows updates.

    If you have just installed everything Windows and installed all updates in a defragmentation is going go take a certain time, but the disk cleanup is generally faster than with XP because he no longer has the compress old files option which is used to take a lot of time on XP.

    Similar to XP, you should limit the number of Startup programs. Type msconfig in the

    Command in run or Start Menu search bar and click on the Startup tab disable the software, you do not

    need to load with Windows.

    Disabling the search index can save disk space and RAM, and while it can slow down the market a

    Search, research is still quite fast. You will find indexing and other options

    stuff of performance in Control Panel > performance Information and tools.

    Deny the right of the UAC can speed things up because it will stop to ask you if you want to do what you know you want to.

    Why it takes a long time to copy a disc to another, I don't know.

    Copies of Win7 although assuming anything else is it slows down, as an anti-virus program that is running constant checks in the background.

    Of course a lot of data yet take some time, but no more than XP. More fast more likely.

    A really cool addition is the jump list. You can lock the records commonly used for windows

    File Explorer in the bar of tasks, and when you R/click on the folder you get a quick access list.

    The great part of this is it to avoid using the libraries easier, but good! Maybe you bought

    Win7 as of the libraries.

    You will most likely find other "improvements" in Win7 you hate. I know that I have, but

    things in XP that were useful, but excluded by Win7 can be recovered via third party software.

    Just as was done with XP.

    Just be happy that you try Win8 vs Win7. Talk about bells and whistles...
