  The problem is with Windows 7 64-bit architecture. You will need this MS XML missing from here:

  Click on the first download link: msxml.msi (2.0 MB). Download to your desktop or where you can find it easily.

  IF (IF) you've already tried installing Kodak with failure, uninstall the printer by clicking Start > Control Panel > programs > uninstall a program and choose all the Kodak software.

  Then click START, type RUN. Type services.msc. From there, you can see the list of current services. Find print spooler and select Restart in the upper left corner. If you see Hello or associations with Kodak, restart them. Click on exit.

  Return to your MS XML download and double-click it to run it. It will close automatically after installation.

  Now go to: http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17138/selected/true

  Download it on your desktop or where you can find it easily.

  Double-click it to run it and follow the instructions.

  If the usbprint.sys and usbmon.dll in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 files are identical (or older) versions that the corresponding files in C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\system32\drivers, copy the C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 files into their appropriate folders.  Then restart.

  Sathyamd, this seems to be a problem with the magenta ink/drum FRO the printer.

  The post on the forum here offers a solution that has worked for other clients:

  Remove and shake the cartridge magenta ink and then place it in the machine - then turn the printer off, then on again. If the problem persists, remove and reinstall the drum of ink (located under the toner cartridges).
