  My use case:

  On the page, I have a flash video player, and if flash is out of date I want to reset the player with html5 rather than forcing the user to download the latest version of flash to see the content.

  With swfobject, you can do swfobject.hasFlashPlayerVersion('14.0') and see if the flash version of the browser is equal to or greater than a certain number. But it's not sustainable. One day, the browser will require a greater number than I just hardcoded. (I know I could go in manually whenever you update).

  Possible alternative: a way to query the browser to see what version of flash, it requires not to display the widget "Flash obsolete.

  I tried the solution of this question AS getURL, but I could not any javascript to run this way. There may be flash security requirements that are no longer this possible solution.

  There is not a mechanism with support to determine the latest version programmatically.

• My Windows Defender has been damaged. I would like to install a more recent version.

  My Windows Defender does not work.  I tried everything, including playing with the registry.  Nothing helps.  Why Vista users cannot download newer versions of programs such as Defender?  Here's what I've tried: 1. I changed the permissions, 2. I disabled UAC, 3. I enabled it in the Task Manager, 4. I was able to make changes in the Configuration of the system, 5. I went in the tech blogs and tried their suggestions.  It was a big mistake.  I followed the advice of an "expert" and delete the values.  Now, instead of a message telling me that I don't have group permission, I have an error message telling me that the Defender has had a catastrophic mistake.   I even wrote down the original binary code, but it will not accept it.  I NEED A NEW WINDOWS DEFENDER NOW!

  In addition, you can't just re - install Windows Defender - he belongs to Vista and cannot be uninstalled or re-installed separately.  To re - install Windows Defender, you have to reinstall Vista itself.  You use an AV program that don't turn off Windows Defender and it still does not post then back with the name and version of the AV program you are currently using, and we will try to find the cause and a solution.

• Problem with installing the most recent Version of Flash

  I had a previous version that worked just OK.  Downloaded the latest version 10-ActiveX, but when I go into Setup/add-remove Control Panel programs, it is listed, but without any size like other programs?  It should not show me the size of the program?

  I have an old computer that uses XP.  The computer has a Gig of memory and it is a Compaq Presario, Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz

  After installation, I restarted.  A ran videos on NBC News / Nightly News.com

  and they ran fine.

  Before the installation, I ran the video on Skype's Web page about free video calls.  He ran little jerky and slow so that's when I decided to upgrade the Flash Version, but now the Skype video does not at all?

  Flash Player is not a stand-alone program, but a browser plugin, so it does not show a size of program installed in Add/Remove programs.

  If you can see the Flash animation to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and version information located below, Flash Player is installed and running correctly.

  removed all Adobe in C:\Program Files, C:\program Files (x 86) directories,

  (2) I ran the programs cleaner AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015.exe and

  AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe

  (3) I rebooted the computer.

  Still, the installation will fail with the same message.

  What can I do?

  I am trying to download Acrobat Reader and going through the process, he says he has not installed correctly, because a more recent version is already installed.  I am running windows 8.1 and have checked my list of programs.  I don't have adobe Acrobat (or any Adobe) it.  Help!

  I want to install in the same VM Excel2007 and Access2003. For this, I have two sets of construction with thinapp 4.6.

  The first time I installed a package everything works fine, but with the second package appears this message:

  "The same or a more recent version of Access2003 is already installed."

  I tried to change the MSIUpgradeCode and MSIProductCode in the file package.ini project Access2003 but when I try to build it pops up this message:

  'Specified is not a valid UUID for MSIUpgradeCode.

  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

  In fact the productcode or upgradecode must be equal between the two (excel and access are different products). And change the guid in the hand should not be a problem, so it is unique on this system.

  There are three GUIDS in a msi:

  Package code - to identify the package if even a few msi changes should therefore package code

  Product code - to identify the product

  Upgrade Code - to identify a set of products (during the upgrade, you can use several codes upgrade to upgrade)

  The error you get seems to be with package code in the upgrade version min table is not defined (or exceeds then the current version).

  In addition, your Installer registry keys may be dirty, check the entries in HKCU and HKLM. You could have some leftovers with the same product Code, or try to use a dirty/profile machine.

• restoring iPhone "requires a more recent version of iOS.

  iPhone running iOS 9.2.1 + 6.  Saved on older MacBook 10.6.8 which is the latest version of the operating system will install running.  Phone has been replaced earlier today from the Apple Store.  Now try to simply restore the backup.  Error message that appears in iTunes on the MacBook, it's that it "requires a more recent version of iOS."  I found the Apple HT203434 document that describes this problem and advised me to use the option Set Up as new Phone, then download the latest iOS, then reset the phone, erasing "all content and settings."  Fact.  The problem persists again whenever I am asked to connect the iPhone to iTunes.

  We have 3 other, much more recent Macs in the household.  Mine is the MacBook Pro for mid-2015.  Is it possible to transfer the backup of this older MacBook on my new MacBook Pro and manage the restoration of this way?  Is there an another workaround?  Of course, if I knew it would be a problem, the iPhone 6 + wouldn t have been saved on this laptop more old.

  Well, if you get the message of iOS, then it means the iOS device is not as recent as the iOS which was used to make the backup. Therefore, you should see if you can connect the device to iTunes and click on update first. Once the iOS is updated, you should be able to access the backup.

  You can download the standalone player (projector) since https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

  Note that the download is the player, not an installer, you will need to manually .swf file association.

  I just tried this widget to my and and he is able to create a thumbnail in my library panel. Seems that there is a corruption with the files in the local library.

  I suggest you remove this widget in the library panel (select the item in the library panel and click on the trash can at the bottom right) and then add it back by double-clicking the file .mulib for the widget.

  Let me know if the problem persists.

  Did you just install an update to Logic Pro x?

  I'm having the same problem.  It took place directly after you have installed the update Logic Pro X. Some of the sounds that garageband share with logic and MainStage now require an update of Alchemy.

  The GarageBand 10.1 application package contains a local copy of the Alchemy framework. If you control GarageBand 10.1-click and select to display the contents of the package, you will see:

  /Applications/GarageBand.app/Contents/frameworks/MAAlchemy.Framework/versions/A/ MAAlchemy

  The frame is from June 6,2015.

  Hi Amos, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

  • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
  • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
  • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings

  Never have your distributed equipment on more than 5 years. Your device iOS9 requires iTunes iTunes 12.3 requiring OSX 10.8.5 that probably requires a more recent than your computer.
