User account control appears when the is not necessary.

The user account control appears everytime I open Windows Live Mail. How can I stop this, but retain control of active user account when needed on the other actions of the computer?   Thank you

Hi JosephDoherty,

UAC (User Account Control) notifies you when changes will be made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions.

You can try to change UAC settings and see if it helps.

Note: You must restart your computer when you enable or disable UAC. Change levels of notification does not require that you restart your computer.

Important: Turn on UAC after you complete the steps.

  • The language bar shows when the user account control appears, supposed to be hidden.

I've been looking for an answer to this one so vain if this question has already been answered please point me in the right direction. I chose to hide the language bar after a reinstall of windows 7, but whenever the user account control appears I see the language bar sitting there, mocking me. I don't see any option to close, only to hide. It does not show during normal activity, only when the user account control POPs asking if I want to allow a program to run. It's driving me crazy.

    Thanks in advance

Old post I know but I cannot believe no one could help you guys, I recently noticed this was happening on my pc, have no idea why, but I guess it was something to do with installation/un-installing new software. In any case, here is the solution, because I don't think that these guys have a clue of what you're going on, of course, lol.

    Click on:

    Beginning
    Control Panel
    Clock, language and region
    Regional and Language Options
    Keyboards and languages
    Change keyboards...
    Language bar
    Hidden
    Ok

Now return to the regional and language options and then click:

    Administrative
    Copy to reserved accounts

    * Type password *, click on:

    System accounts
    Ok
    Ok

If for any reason any you do not see a password for copy to reserved accounts, and instead, option you have this pop up with checkboxes:

Copy your regional and language settings to these accounts:

    Default user account (new users)
System accounts (local system, local service, and network service)
Just check the two of them and ok.

There's no more annoying language on UAC bar more.

    Hello

1 did you changes to the computer before the show?

    2. have you logged on to the computer as an administrator?

    3. using an HP printer or HP computer?

The hprbUpdate.exe file is part of the HP software product Wizard.

Follow the steps in the link below and check if that helps.

  • How to force the display of user account control to run the scheduled task

I have User Account Control setting on notify me when a program wants to make changes to my computer (the recommended setting).

I created a scheduled task: create a restore point, using a software called Quick Restore Maker. User accounts in the program control screen comes up and stays on, ends by closes but ends the program. As I'm not at the computer when running task, I can't cancel the screen. The display ends by disappears, but the program itself does not run.

So the question is: How can I force screen UAC a program to run without changing the UAC universal computer settings that would allow any program to change my computer without any intervention from me?

    Thanks for your help.

There is no way around the need for approval of Admin indicated by the parameter of the UAC.

Reduce the level of UAC would be the only thing you can try, but I understand that this would not be a safe way to proceed for normal operation.

  • The Windows 7 user account control settings does not open

    Hello

Someone knows a problem where a computer launches the application "change user account control settings?  We are dev work on multiple PCs and need to disable this feature.  Normally, I would run the UAC and just drag the bar down, but I can't even the application to load.  I even tried running: C:\Windows\System32\userAccountControlSetings.exe and it does nothing.

    Thank you
    Sean

Well, I was not able to understand why the window UAC doesn't appear, however, I managed to disable UAC via the local policy settings.  For reference purposes:

    1. Start > run > gpedit.msc
    2. Computer configuration > Windows settings > security settings > local policies > Security Options
    3. Then define:
    4. User account control: behavior of the guest of elevation for administrators in Admin Approval Mode – set its value toElevate without asking for confirmation.
    5. User account control: detect application installations and prompt for elevation - set its value todisabled.
    6. User account control: only elevate the UIAccess applications that are installed in secure locations - set its value todisabled.
    7. User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode - set its value todisabled.

    Hi Cynthibill,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum. I understand you want to get rid of the UAC popup message.  I guess this must be difficult for you. I would like to help solve you the problem.

Before troubleshooting, provide us with information.

    1. is the issue limited to Windows live mail?

    2. what security software is installed?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

I want to let you know that you can use the slider control (UAC) user account settings to change UAC settings.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

Is it possible to make may have to wait in the background for me to finish what I'm doing and deal with him and prevent him from minimize applications full screen?

    Hi Bob,

This behavior of user account control is by design, and you can change it by adjusting the parameters of the UAC.

User Account Control (UAC) can help prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. UAC notifies you when changes will be made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions. These types of changes can affect the security of your computer or can affect settings for other people who use the computer. We recommend that you leave UAC to help your computer course.

By default, UAC is set to warn you as soon as apps try to make changes to your PC, but you can change how often UAC notifies you.

    Hi Jniles,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

Do you have connected to your computer as an administrator?

User Account Control (UAC) notifies you before changes are made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions. The default UAC notifies you when programs try to make changes to your computer, but you can change how often UAC notifies you.

Open user account control settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click change user account control settings.

How can I disable the popup control in the user account that appears on my desktop to allow or reject the changes when I open a program without changing my user account settings.

You want should not do that. These pop-up UAC is there to ensure the interaction of the user before executing a command or program. Disabling, allows even unwanted programs (= malware, viruses, Trojans) go ahead and implement themselves on your system without being noticed.

  • Lockout C drive. Cannot change the permissions, cannot not disable the user account control, unable to open the access control editor, cannot change the property.

While trying to change the folder permissions for a second user on my computer, I did something that I lock my C drive.

When I log in with the administrator account, I get the following popup:

    C:\Windows\System32\SystemPropertiesComputerName.exe
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

I am not able to access denied drive from C to all 'access '.

When I right click on the C drive and select Properties > Security tab > go on, said the popup "cannot open the access control editor. Access is denied. »

When you select Properties > Security tab > advanced > owner tab > continue, current owner says "unable to display current owner. Can not change, cannot be changed.

I can't turn off user account control, nothing happens when I click the icon or the text.

I was able to create the 'hidden' administrator account, but I can't do anything from there, either.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

Recovery disk will not help you perform the upgrade on the spot. I suggest to organise a Windows Vista DVD and try to perform the upgrade in-place.
