  Hello, I have a problem fun - we have a large table which requires a batch to make millions of updates, and he needs to finish more quickly. It takes several hours as an update, but a select create table did the same thing in about a minute. Yay! Then we just delete the old table and rename the new table to the former, rebuild all the index and grant select/insert/update/delete permissions to another user who needs access... and there is the problem, Oracle said insufficient privs.
  
  We have A figure, which is the owner of the table, userid B who done all the stuff of application batch and userid C which performs inserts for a process of middleware. None of them are actual users, of course. We want that user B to do the ETG, rename, rebuild and re-grant of the authorisation of the index. But user B apparently cannot grant permissions on objects in the schema A to user C, even if B has created the table and has the role DBA (not ideal, I know)!
  
  What's really crazy is that there is no sense unique user b can grant permissions to user C, which is to:
  
  grant select any table USER c;
  grant insert any table USER c;
  grant update any table USER c;
  Grant delete any table USER c;
  
  It seems really perverse can create tables in diagram A and even grant C privs "whole table" that user B, but may not grant privs specifically on this object in the schema A, even with DBA privs. I must be missing something... right?

  Yes. By default, the stored procedures are stored procedures from DEFINER rights. If A is the owner of a stored procedure, this stored procedure can do whatever A enjoys the privileges to directly. If A grants B privileges RUN this stored procedure, when B calls the stored procedure, the procedure runs with the privileges.

  I agree point stew, however, re-creating objects in Oracle is generally a bad idea and a TRUNCATE with one insert direct-path, possibly combined with the deactivation and the rebuilding of the index would be more appropriate than a DEC.   We have an access policy that fires to assign users to Active Directory. Access policy has the following composition:
  
  Rule: The user Type is EMP AND Orgname == Company
  
  Role: Roles of the employees of the company is granted automatically to all users which are evaluated to TRUE for the rule. It works very well.
  
  Access policy: resource access policy: Active Directory, membership rule: "employees of the company.
  
  The strategy above works fine. It fires when an employee is hired, and it fires again when an employee leaves. The grant and revoke the resource as expected. Now, we also give the resource for all roles of children "employees of the company. I have create a role called 'cooperative society student', and I attribute it's parents to be "collaborators."
  
  
  User1: Role: employee of company
  User2: Role: student cooperative society
  
  If I look at role: an employee of the company, click the Members tab, I see two members: User1, direct. User2, indirect.
  
  However, the access policy is not shooting to add User2 to Active Directory. They are a member of the role indirectly, but do not receive the resources assigned to the role.
  
  Should it? I can do to ensure that members of the role junior/child benefit resources via the access on the role of parent policy?

  It is the expected behavior. You can update the access policy and add your child group in the list of roles that are allowed to access this policy.

  I have a (dba1) user who is the owner of the tables in my database. I have connected to sqlplus as sysdba and created the admin role < b > < /b > and granted the admin privileges.
  

  SQL> grant all privileges to admin;

  Then I gave the admin < /b > < b > user dba1 role:

  Grant succeeded.

  I created another role, sel_role and gave privileges to select tables. For example:

  Now, I created another user, Anton and gave this user the sel_role role:

  Oops, has nothing to do with provoleges. Kund table is not owner by user anton, right? Therefore, you must perfix with the owner, that is, based on "I have a (dba1) user who is the owner of the tables in my database", dba1. Then issue:

  Select * from dba1.kund;

• Reassociating a user account and a folder of the user

  I just bought a new computer and use Windows 8 for the first time.  I migrated old accounts on and didn't like not how some user account names arose or the manner in which the names of folders of them appeared in windows Explorer.  I made the mistake of assigning a folder name of the user to a limited account from an account with administrative rights.  The limited account is now useless.  He lost his liaison with all information about it.  Is it possible that I can restore the association?  The problem is that I don't know what name the folder had before.  He already did not match the name of the user account.  I changed the name of the folder to what I thought it was and restarted but the limited account is always separated from his file.  Is there a way I can use marbles or whatever it is to restore the link between the account and the file?  I put so many hours to set up the account exactly as I wanted.  So frustrating.

  Well, I got lucky.  I guessed David-2, and that was wrong.  Today, I guessed David_2, and it worked!  But I bet that there are thousand poor slobs out there like me who eventually would like to know how to find the name of the file that a user account is expected to find.

  I have a D_GEOGRAPHY_25729 table in the RDS schema, and I created logging of ACC_D_TABLES role as an administrator.
  
  Now, I gave access GRANT SELECT from table D_GEOGRAPHY_25729 to the ACC_D_TABLES role.
  
  There is another TRANS diagram in the same database that has a ACC_D_TABLES role. But after logging in this scheme, I am not able to query directly from the D_GEOGRAPHY_25729 table. I need to use it as below to access the table.
  

  select * from RDS.D_GEOGRAPHY_25729 

  Given the correct role why should ACC_D_TABLES to the TRANS diagram, I use RDS. D_GEOGRAPHY_25729? It is not possible without the addition of the prefix scheme RDS name?

  Granting of privileges govern who can access a table.
  Creation of synonyms governs how the object name is resolved (avoid prefixing them the owner).
  They are two separate and independent terms.

  A public synonym would mean that d_geography_25729 resolves to RDS. D_GEOGRAPHY_25729 for all the world, but unless you give them privileges on it, they still cannot access it.

  You need a mechanism for Single Sign On between your Portal Application and your application spaces.
  If you have licensed Oracle OAM, use it to achieve. However, if you do not have Oracle OAM and then build your own SSO according the following ideas:

  -Write a cookie encrypted after you login to your portal.
  -Create your own IdentityAsserter spaces of domain to check the user encrypted.

  I have an another Userid "lmf' whose use 20 people to connect with the viewer discoverer and access reports created using a few other BA.
  
  Now, I want to first 10 users for only reports in read mode for access to and do not make any other change while accessing reports.
  
  What changes we need to make this happen? Is there something that we must do this in the pref.txt file and create a sort of triggers so that these restrictions may be imposed?

  I'm not saying that users should not share the same BA.
  I'm not saying that each person must use his own user_id, so you will not have this conflict.
  There is a way to change the GUI and to tweak it, but it will affect all users of spectator and not only a specific (like change the file pref.txt) and also it is not supported by oracle.
  If you don't want to go in this direction, you should look for customizing UIX files.
