• AT & T Centro - do not synchronize all the contacts

  I just changed to Centro smart phone and made my first Hot Sync.  I have divided into two categories - Business & personal contacts and the hot sync only transfer my personal list.  It also does not transfer my "Memos" or spots.  It is not transfer my categories either.  I put it from the desktop to transfer to the handheld, but it doesn't seem to do that.

   

  Anyone have any ideas?

  Are you sync on Palm desktop? If so... Please check if Palm Desktop software you have other usernames. Your centro might syncronize on a different user name.

• Tungsten for Centro

  I've recently updated since my Tungsten PDA to a Palm Centro.  I followed all the instructions on the installation of the new Palm software on my old software on my computer.  When I connect the Centro and the computer to synchronize everything for my Centro, I found that the Center had created a new user.  My old data are on the new software under the my old username, but I can't find a way to transfer data (addresses, etc.) to the new username and synchronize Centro.

  Probably the easiest way is to simply export the data in a user name and then import them into the new

  For example

  1 calendar, under the old username go to export file, it will be exported as a .dba file... Then go to your new username, go to the import of files and import the .dba file

  2 contacts under the old username, first go to edit select all then export file it will export to a file .aba then go to your new user name and navigate to the file and the .aba file iport...

  A note if you have several categories put in place the method above may cause to lose them. If you want to keep categories, you must export the data from the category then import into their respective categories as soon as you have created the slot your new username.

• Palm Centro keeps restarting

  I just performed a Hotsync operation and my Palm Centro keeps restarting; I guess due to the installation of the software.  How stop the reboot and restore my Centro to its previous state?

  You will need to start over again with a Hard Reset, then synchronize with your old username after making a few changes to the name of a special folder on your computer.

  On a XP box it to: C:\Program Files\Palm\ your HotSync name account short \Backup.   Name the folder of backup to anything else (for example \Backup_old).

  This will allow all the data back on your phone PIM, but none of the third-party software that may be causing the problem.  HotSync is complete, you can start to reinstall the third-party programs one by one, seeking the return of the problem after each installation.

  If you have a strong idea about a program that caused the problem, do not install it!

  How hard reset a Palm Centro.

  Go to http://kb.palm.com and enter "Solution ID" number 45050.

  In short:
  -hard reset
  -Locate the backup under Palm Desktop folder folder
  -Rename in backup_old
  -synchronization, select old id. This will bring back PIMs (calendar, Contacts, tasks and Memos) but no settings or programs
  -Reinstall the applications one by one AFTER having checked that they are compatible with the device target.

• username error

  I just bought a Centro and try syncing GroupWise via GW PDA Connect 7.0.  I am able to run the two HoySync & PDA Connect but when I hit the sync button it asks me to create a user profile.  After I entered the correct username for my phone and my password, the software "thinks" and expires.  The username does not record.  I tried several times.  Our IT team support is having the same problem with another new Centro.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I ended up installing SmartSync 2007 and it works very well.  This seems to be the only solution to make GroupWise 7.0 and Palm HotSync for collaborating with the Centro.

• Centro freezes on incoming calls

  I recently bought a Palm centro unlocked and the unit freezes almost everytime I try to accept and the call coming. This continues for about one minute (until the appeal is discontinued) and then I went back to the home screen. I tried a soft and hard reset, but nothing works. I have not all third-party applications installed in my camera. I haven't had problems with the device freeze, other than on incoming calls...

  I will answer your questions in red below.

  It is my first palm device. Ok.

  When I did the hard reset, the device asked if I wanted to erase all the data and I have confirmed by pressing "up". (Not sure if that's what you mean) Yes.

  I tried to call myself a few times after the hard reset, but before the synchronization. It worked for 5 calls without problem, but I don't know if this could be a coincidence. The next synchronized and after awhile, I had the same problem again.

  So before of you Sync the device, it worked OK. This means that something in the backup, in the case of user_name folder on the PC can cause the problem.

  Looks like you may need to reset your device and rename your backup folder. Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Then before of you hotsync your data back you will need to rename your backup folder, to do than go here.

  C:\Program files\palm or palm one\ [hotsync username]------and rename your backup

  Vista
  Start--> documents\Palm OS Desktop\ [hotsync username]------and rename your backup
  file Backup.Old

  Then hotsync from your current name of hotsync and all your contacts, calendar,

  folder, go to Tools--> Folder Options--> View (tab) and under Show hidden

• Centro crossed the... washer and dryer

  So it wet enough (even if it was a machine with horizontal axis, so it was more like a lot, a lot of falls).  Bad news was that it was of tumble dried.  Of course, the screen was pretty damaged.  I think that this puppy is toast

  But red color is no longer available.  Bought a replacement for black.  How is it difficult to change the shells?

  To restore data, just cool the new phone entirely (3 hours), then connect to your computer and Hotsync.  Choose your old username.

• Restoration of hotsync after Hard Reset Palm Centro

  Hello

  My Palm Centro was freezing randomly and in particular whenever someone called me. As this was very annoying, I performed a Hard Reset of the device. Before I did I did a Hotsync to back up everything (or so I thought).

  Now when I do another hotsync after Hard Reset nothing is restored, the only things on the device that were there before are the photos that were on the memory card. All my Contacts, phone numbers, notes, calendar entries and everything disappeared. How can I restore them?

  EDIT: Ive since found all my contacts, calendar entries, memos, etc. in the application of "Palm Desktop" in Windows XP. How to I move from the computer on the Palm Centro?

  When you hotsync it will ask for a user name, be they existing or invites you to create a new.

  you remember what username you assigned when you do the front hotsync.

  You also said that you can see your information in palm desktop, check the user name in the upper right corner where you see the user name.

  regardless of the user name displayed in the area where you can also see your data, this is the username correct to decide when you hotsync.

  now, your device is empty so kindly do the hard reset on it and then try to hotsync, but this time, you should be able to know what username to choose.

• Mac Pro el capitan: username and/or pw not accepted: How can I boot up to fix this

  I recently acquired a firmware Mac Pro 2009 4.1, loaded with a version update of el capitan.  I immediately changed the admin password but has not changed the admin username, nor have I evolved Autostart and name of user and password until today. NOW, it will not accept any combination of username / password.  How to overcome this gaffe to change the user name and password.

  mistakes have been made when entering user names and that they never disappear. I see where you can delete paswords but cannot find where to remove them these usernames (usually email addresses).

  Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:

  1. Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. Select an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or the cursor key
     do not click with the mouse or press the Enter key
  3. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + del) to delete the highlighted entry

  I would like to change my user name in my profile for the communities of support.  Is this possible?  If so, how?  If not, can I somehow delete my profile and create a new one?

  My iCloud account cannot be verified because I made a typing error when entering my Apple id/username during installation. It's somehow correct everywhere elsewhere (Apple fairy fixed?). How can I fix it to iCloud?  I thought that my phone was backing up every night but think not.

• Whenever I update FireFox all my usernames and passwords vanish in password manager

  For several updates recent Firefox all my usernames and passwords (stored in password manager) disappear. I was able to recover them by exchanging one or more of the three files to a previous version ('Key3db', 'Logins.json' and 'Prefs.js') until this WHAT THE LAST THREE OR FOUR updates. This patch no longer works and I hesitate so far. I would like to know... a) this bug has been fixed?
  (b) if it is not, how can I keep my ID & password somewhere else so I can quickly re - install, or at least see them in a list so I can manually copy all back in?
  (c) how to prevent a pop-up annoying telling me to update to FireFox (other than by the update)?

  I used FireFox with happiness for many years, but this problem is very annoying and I am looking to change (with great reluctance) to another browser if an other update loses all usernames and passwords, and I have to re - install an older version to get back them.
