username vs CPU

I read some links but the concept is a little confusing, can you give a scenario as to what user named liscences would be more adapted or used on processor liscences and vice versa? And I suppose that the costs are different? i.e. If you 500 users and 4 processors, then apparently the 4 liscences for a processor if the same price as a user named liscence would be a mistake that you have saved the cost of 496 licenses? So there must be more than that... I suspect liscences processor are much more expensive than a liscence unique username?

All prices here are http://shop.oracle.com. The point of equality between the username more and perpetual processor is (if I remember correctly) fifty to one. You can get a droid commercial Oracle Advisor, or a partner could be more innovative in finding the solution of cost lowest.

    EVIL

    6 just FF startup after deleting places.sqlite makes all FF using all CPU. WHY?

    When you delete the places.sqlite file then Firefox will try to restore the bookmarks from the most recent backup of JSON in the bookmarkbackups folder.
    If you have more than 1 million bookmarks, then it may take some time and you will need to continue the script until it has finished you'll lose the bookmarks.

    You can rename the bookmarkbackups folder to prevent Firefox to rebuild the bookmarks like that and try to restore the backup HTML.
    You may edit this file and must divide into several smaller parts to make it work (importing an HTML merges backup bookmarks).

    Completely remove iTunes and do a clean reinstall by following the steps below.

    Note that you cannot 'upgrade' from Windows XP to Windows 7.  If your computer hardware is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 7 drivers are available, you can install Windows 7, but this operation will require a new install of Windows 7.

    You can use Windows Easy Transfer to copy your data, but not your applications.  Applications will need to be reinstalled from original installation media.

    To perform a "clean" iTunes installation uses this technique proposed, from Support of Apple HT1926 article.

    Warning: uninstall utility for cleaning Windows mentioned in the instructions below has been removed from Microsoft download servers because sometimes it seems more removed he was supposed to (I think that this phenomenon was linked to the bureau uninstalls).  You can still get utility Windows Installer Cleanup--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html here is a free alternative Revo Uninstaller. Before using these cleaning products, you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.

  • Windows.exe gobbling up memory and CPU often CPU ranges between 50 and 100%.

    Hello

    My PC recently turned very, very slowly and often unresponsive.  When I bring up the Task Manager, on the processes tab, I see that Windows.exe uses as much as 1 million K of memory and often the CPU ranges between 50 and 100%.  What is happening while no application works.  I have also noticed that in the Task Manager, there are two processes with the name of the image of windows.exe and consuming all the power and memory has no user name.  When I try to end the process on this one it still won't let me and a message appears saying that I don't have permission to do this, or something to that effect.  I am however able to stop other processes including the windows.exe with my username process.  The cases where it allows me to stop the process, performance improves, but given a little time, again with nothing running, it starts again. Thinking it was a virus, I missed the live update on Norton and performed a full scan, but nothing found.   I also tried Windows defender, but in vain.  Any help on this problem is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

    We have a connection internet-based corporate (100 Mbit/s down, 10 Mbps upward, certain guarantees) with eight fixed ip addresses (in the a.79 configuration.72.  To join our network to the internet, we use a router 892.

    I am new to cisco equipment, so I had some trouble getting things to work, but I arrived.

    Now, we are facing this problem of throttling: whenever we are using more about 60mbit/s down bandwidth, this router CPU is maxing out (98-99% with 'show processes cpu history').

    When I download a torrent (dvd debian) to 4 MB/s (or 48mbit/s) cpu running at about 46 percent (tops at 49%).  Stop the download of results in 14% at the top of the CPU usage.

    When you use the command 'See deals cpu sort', I get this:

    In fact, the 890 series is rated at 100 Kpps, i.e. approximately 51 Mbit/s (noted also in other posts) for minimum size Ethernet packets, but Cisco also documents the 890 providing up to 1 400 Mbit / s 1500 bytes of the packets of size.  Unfortunately "your mileage may vary." i.e. actual throughput is very dependent on your particular traffic and you configure your router to do against this traffic.  For example, you have NAT/PAT, ACLs, firewall inspection and NetFlow, all who consume extra CPU during the processing of packages of the interface.

    Not knowing what exactly will a customer with a router, Cisco makes recommendations to use very conservative, and for the 890, it recommends side WAN does not exceed 15 Mbps (duplex).  Again, it is very conservative, and as you have discovered, your configuration hit the wall about two times this recommendation, although it is unfortunately not enough to manage your bandwidth capacity.

    As other posters have noted, long-term or preferred solution is probably getting and using a faster router.  You can probably get out a title plus your 892 with additional 'tuning '.  That is, by eliminating all what you really, really need and do what you need as efficiently as possible.  For example, disabling NetFlow (such as already mentioned in some of the messages), disabling the firewall dynamic as you have NAT/PAT and ACL; and the "Resequencing" (if it is logically possible) ACEs.

    Regarding your question of the use of the services of police or release in the form, to avoid any overrun of the CPU (which really want to avoid!), Yes, something can be done there and could be very beneficial, but you will use some CPU for that and a really intelligent approach would be complicated.  (An example of 'smart' approach would be a built-in script that queries CPU frequently or traps these slow flows on high CPU, which then finds the high flows and policies dynamically.  A not-so-smart approach would be one policeman static for all incoming traffic, or only certain types of traffic entering the police.)

    $allvms | Export-Csv "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\VMs.csv" - noTypeInformation

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I get the result as below:

    Are you sure that there are no empty lines in the file?

    It is the only way that I can't reproduce your problem.

  • VMs will be running not because of a poor estimate of CPU speed

    I recently installed the drive on a Windows 7 PC.  I can create virtual machines, but when I try to start them, I get the error:

    ASSERT d:/build/ob/bora-894247/bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:232 bugNr = 148722

    followed by:

    Power error: cannot find a valid peers to connect to.

    During my research, I found 1227 KB which deals with this issue and recommend the insertion of three lines in the config.ini file.  In my config.ini file I've specified these values:

    host.cpukHz = "1900000".
    host.noTSC = 'TRUE '.
    ptsc.noTSC = 'TRUE '.

    I tried with just host.cpukHz setting at first, then added the other after that didn't work.  Also, I turned on sync time with host on all computers three virtual I created.  None of these things helped.

    I also found this post that refers to this problem being attributed to an incorrect estimate of the speed of the CPU.  I checked this on my system, and according to the host.maxKHzestimate.value registry value, my processor is estimated at 40,04 GHz.  (No, this isn't typo.)  Not coincidentally, I'm sure, the system in Windows screen shows the same incorrect reading.  I deleted these registry values several times and restarted the computer (and the player), but the estimate is always re-created to 40,04 GHz.

    The processor in this system is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2 .66GHz, but I actually have underclocked to 1.9 GHz.  CPU - Z recognizes the speed correctly ~1.9GHz.  I have no idea whence the estimate of 40GHz.

    Just to be sure, this wasn't a problem with the virtual machines created on this system, I tried to copy a machine virtual work known from another system, but I get the same errors.

    It is a Windows 7 freshly installed PC - Player was one of the first pieces of software that I have loaded.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this thing working?

    It looks like a problem of security policy.  To apply the configuration options that you have added to the config.ini file, the user account must have the right to SeIncreaseWorkingSetPrivilege security.  Normally, this right is granted to all accounts default user.  If you are unable to grant this right to the user account for any reason, you should be able to set the configuration options in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VMware\config.ini instead.

  • Dashbord CPU, RAM, disk, Perf missing data Net

    I'm starting a new Capacity planner. Dashboard monitor-> show missing data, there is no data with CPU, RAM, disks, pref. Net on systems with Performance data (please see attachment file), but a data collector VMware capacity Planer 2.8 has collectd it. How do I troubleshoot it? Thank you

    I would recommend that you go to the '1. Put tab in place' and change the date range for the project.  I can see your username that you are Thai and generally the data send to Thailand would contain 255 x years (thai year) instead of 201 x.

    Hello

    an Oracle process consumes only CPU if it does something. Connection management only supports CPU when establishing or closing of connection ("storms of opening/closing of session'), once a connection has been established, it requires no resources just to stay connected.

    You need not all long-running queries to devour your CPU - short SQL executes thousands of times per second can kill your faster CPU. In addition, if your high CPU consumers show lower percentages, this can indicate not using bind variables, which means two things:

    (1) additional load on CPU due to the increased high Analysis
    (2) section of the AWR report SQL becomes essentially useless - you will need to ask the views of the AWR manually, using the aggregation on force_matching_signature to identify consumers high CPU (the link I gave in the previous post how).

    Best regards

  • How to find reported by QueryPerf such cpu usage meter.

    Hello world

    I am writing a script which collects data of performance, in particular cpu usage percentage, of various hosts and virtual.

    I retrieve the data using QueryPerf, in the same way that the viperformance.pl script made.

    Recently, I noticed that the values for the cpu usage percentage are too big for a percentage IE. greater than 100.

    At first, I thought that I have a bug in my script but then I noticed that the viperformance.pl script returns the same values.

    I run the script viperformace.pl like this:

    ./viperformance.pl--serveur xxx.xx.xx.x:xxx - username xxxxxx - password "xxxxxxxxxx" - host xxxx.xxxxx.xxxxxx.xx - countertype cpu - 1 samples

    Performance data: xxxx.xxxxx.xxxxxx.xx

    Counter: CPU utilization (average)

    Instance:

    Description: During the interval collected percentage CPU usage

    Units: %

    Example of information: 20, 2009-05 - 22 T 08: 27:20Z

    Value: 538

    Counter: Use of the processor in MHz (average)

    Instance:

    Description: CPU in MHz on the meantime collected. For guests that may be represented on a basis by the VM stacked graph

    Units: MHz

    Example of information: 20, 2009-05 - 22 T 08: 27:20Z

    Value: 1004

    Can someone explain what is the value of average 538? What I have to deal with the result of getting a real percentage?

    Thank you very much

    Jan

    Hi Jan,

    The value of the cpu usage meter can be between 0 and 10000. This value is 1/100th of one to one hundred, so 1 = 0.01%.

    So, in your case the CPU usage is actually 5,38-10.04% respectively.

    Please refer to the documentation counter for more details.

    http://www.VMware.com/support/developer/VC-SDK/visdk25pubs/ReferenceGuide/CPU.html

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem with ttcserver consuming 25% of a CPU - TimesTen version 6.0.6

    Hello!
    I am running TimesTen version 6.0.6 on a Netra 440 with 4 CPUS (SunOS 5.10)

    We have a client/server architecture work decently, but sometimes the ttcserver seems to start to consume a lot of CPU:

    PID USERNAME SIZE RSS STATE PRI GOOD TIME CPU PROCESS/NLWP
    root 29568 139M 138 M cpu1 50 0 25% ttcserver/4 147:00:54

    29087 root 301M 72 M sleep 59 8 04:37:16 0.6% gdproc/2

    I understand that this is the server responsible for the execution of DB actions on behalf of customers.
    Ttstatus race I can see the following:

    My question is if there is a way to see/trace the ttcserver done to identify if there is a faulty client causing the overallocation of the CPU.
    Thank you
    Mike

    I suggest the following:

    SQL level 4;
    API level 4;
    XXXXX of connection;

    Where "xxxxx" is the login ID for the process of such ttcserver as reported by ttStatus.

  • CPU used by oracle user

    Hello
    10 g R2 on Windows SERVER 2003
    user Oracle SCOTT connect to SQLPLUS and runs a large query. Is there some way to see how much CPU he uses?

    Thank you.

    CPU used by a user (session wise)
    Select a.sid, a.username, a.osuser, c.name b.value
    session $ v a, v$ sesstat b, v$ statname c
    where = select a.sid
    and b.statistic # c.statistic = #.
    and c.name like '% CPU % '.
    and a.username = 'SCOTT'
    order of a.sid, c.name

    By user (session wise) the following information:
    1 uses of the CPU
    2 kinds of memory
    3. scan of table
    4 validation
    5 slider
    6. physical reads
    7. logical reads
    8 BCHR (buffer hit ratio cache)

    Select a.sid, a.username, a.osuser, c.name b.value
    session $ v a, v$ sesstat b, v$ statname c
    where = select a.sid
    and b.statistic # c.statistic = #.
    and (c.name like '% CPU %') or c.name like ' % sorts (memory) % "or c.name like '% table scan %' or c.name like"% commit %"c.name as 'cursor %' or c.name like ' % read %" or like "% stamp %" c.name c.name like ' % cache %»
    and b.value > 0
    order of a.sid, c.name
    /

    If you have licenses for diagnosis package and the performance pack, you can look at the history of the current session for this type of information. You can query the DBA_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY view, or run the ashrpt.sql script in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin or use OEM to get a graphical representation of the workload over time.
