  I'd really like to have this question answered for once and all. Can the Player Windows Media center to Win 7 be used as a upnp client? I want to use it to play movies on a HD support connected to my router. The router has a Media Server enabled on it which can broadcast video using upnp. I can find the folders on the hard drive and use them in my libraries in Windows Media Center, but if I'm not mistaken, that is not streaming and can be glitch. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  Anyway can someone please carlify?

  I can't tell exactly what you want to do for sure. It looks like you want
  Windows Media Center to be able to read music and media of any computer your
  network. To do this in Media Center, you must add these other records
  places explicitly or in Media Center (using Windows Media
  Player/Libraries in Windows 7).

• ATI Theater 650 Pro digital tuner not detected / installation in Media Center

  I have Vista Ultimate 64 with SP2 and an ATI Theater 650 Pro with the latest driver installed ATI. Media Center does not detect and configure the digital tuner, only analog (tuner works very well - get all analog and digital - channels in Win7 RC). Other tuners were detected drink they will not set up due to missing or inconsistent signals connected to them. I have installed ALL the ATI driver available in turn, including Dell (card/system provider). I reinstalled windows several times (at the request of Dell). The tuner has attempted without ever addressing the digital and cable HDTV signals. It worked the first time, in Win 7 RC.

  I suggest you try the following steps:

  Step 1: Change the Windows Media Center Receiver Service to a specific to a Local System account account name:

  1. click on start-run, type services.msc, the, click OK.

  3. click on the tab connection , and then select the Local System account.

  My Satellite P10 is vintage 2003 and Windows Media Center onboard.
  Recently, when you try to log in to use the new possibilities of TV capture which are installed in line I was in charge I needed to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11 (or higher) to be able to watch these TV programs.

  After you download WM11 and try to load, I get the error message "you have Windows Media Center 2005 or later version to run WM11.

  Hello I use Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Media Center. I watched titles on Netflix in the past successfully in Windows Media Center, but today I get this error when I click to play a title:

  Cannot display the page. Windows Media Center cannot open the page.  Contact technical support for the program.

  And so here I am.

  I see all of the titles on my queue when I click on the Netflix icon, so obviously I am connected and connect, but cannot actually look at all the titles.

• Media Center does not close when you use my administrator account

  When I connect account administrator w / my, media library opens on its own. I then close media library but whenever I try to open another program the media center opens. I again close media center, try to open another program and units media center opens instead. It seems to have an impact on the account administrator only. I don't seem to have a problem when logged in user accounts. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful for your contribution. Aloha.

• Media Center and ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI

  I installed an ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI card in Vista Home Prem 32-bit edition.  I installed the latest 01/10 ATI drivers.  While setting up Windows Media Center, said the card is not supported in this area (Canada).  It's funny, I bought it in Vancouver.  I ran the configuration by ATI Catalyst TV program and it worked.  I went back into the Media Center and he accepted the Canada as a regional parameter is valid.  Media Center worked for 2 days, buy yesterday I went to watch TV and could not find my TV tuner card.  Restarted my computer (cold start) and he finds the TV card but I had to re-run the installation program, I don't know why.  Now, it is said the Canada is not a region supported by this map.  It works in catalyst program (terrible picture and sound) and it works in Nero Live.  Why not in Media Center (the best quality of image and sound)?  My regional settings are set to Canada, what is happening?

  What is a hybrid tuner, and if so, you are trying to configure it to ATSC (digital terrestrial) or QAM (unencrypted digital cable)? Unfortunately, Windows Media Center does not support ATSC or QAM tuning to the Canada. This isn't as far as I know, for technical reasons, which is why the tuner can work in the third-party software, but not Microsoft.

  I recently bought an Intel 750 PCIe SSD 2.5 "drive and it hooked up to the TMIFA (adapter Flex ThinkStation Multi IO port) in the slot of a P700 flex. But the drive does not appear in the BIOS.

  I was wondering if there are specific parameters in the BIOS linked to the operation of the flex adapter, which can affect the player connected to get recognized by the machine?

  I tried to plug in a USB stick to the USB port on the TMIFA and it did work and appear in the BIOS. So the TMIFA seems to be OK.

  Can we really that the 750 is a DOA?

  Thank you for your message.  Yes, it's always the case that there is no unified driver for the PCI-GPIB card and controller ENET/GPIB for Solaris 9.  You are also right in your assumption that you will not be able to compile a program that will allow you to access these two drivers in different directories.  I apologize for the inconvinience this may cause you.

• ENVY 750 - 055xt: screw the motherboard for socket mSATA

  I have the HP ENVY 750-055xt, which uses the motherboard of Kaili.  There is a plug on the motherboard mSATA and I inserted an EVO of 850 Samsung 1 TB SSD.  Fortunately this solid state drive works and is immediately recognized by Windows 7, no other frills.  However, the motherboard doesn't have the small screws in the tiny mSATA solid drive on the motherboard.

  Anyone know the right screw size used to secure the mSATA SSD to the motherboard in Kaili?

  Thanks for your reply.  I have besides a picture of the Samsung 850 EVO mSATA SSD drive.

  

  It fits in the slot on my motherboard HP MS-7826 (Kaili) mSATA.  Please see below.

  

  The drive performs as well as my boot drive.  As it is not properly attached to the motherboard, the only thing holding is the strength of tensioning of the socket.  Ocassion the tiny jury comes off in the socket and it won't be visible in the path of startup.  Opening upward the chasis LIKE 750 and re - insert the mSATA jury will get the computer running again.  The little screw would prevent the Council of Regularisez making and the frustration of re-Foundation there.

  Elsewhere in this forum, I found mention of the screw that I'm looking.  This is the same as that used in the dwelling of minimap express PCI used for the WiFi card.  The expertise here source describes the machine screws Flathead as a M1.6 size.  I ordered a M1.6 x 3 mm of China.  I think it should work.  Some here said they used a M2.0 to head flat screws in the slot mSATA and it seemed to work for them.

  My motherboard HP isn't a slot m2.  If so, then I probably would have opted for the Samsung SSD m2, instead of the mSATA SSD drive.

  For now, I think I solved the problem with the mother screw missing for the location of nSATA.  Nevertheless, Big_Dave, thanks for responding to me here.

  I was wondering if there was a way to configure the bookmarks and history to open like a button sidebar instead of a menu drop-down. I've recently updated firefox to the latest version. In the old version I was using (I'm sorry, I don't remember version) bookmarks and the history button would open a side menu to the left of the window, that's what I'm trying to do.

  I know a shortcut and a drop down for this. I am also aware to be able to open the sidebar via the Bookmarks button, but it takes 2 clicks. I wonder if there is a way to simply open the sidebar with just 1 click of the button. Basically, the button is like Alt + B, I want to change it to be simply Ctrl + B in 1 click.
