Using countdown timer

Hi people, just a quick question... I followed a tutorial to create a countdown through flash, and I can't make it work. I have put in place a dynamic text box named time_txt and that you have the following code:

this.onEnterFrame = function() {}

var today: Date = new Date ();
Those of var = today.getFullYear ();
currentTime var = today.getTime ();

var targetDate:Date = new Date (currentyear, 1, 10)
var Date_cible = targetDate.getTime ();

var Date_cible = timeLeft - currentTime;

var s = Math.floor (timeLeft/1000);
var min = Math.floor (sec/60);
var h = Math.floor (minutes/60);
var days = Math.floor (hrs/24);
SEC = string (s % 60);
If (sec.length < 2) {}
s = '0' + seconds;
}
min = string (min % 60);
If (min.length < 2) {}
min = "0" + min;
}
h = string (24 hrs %);
If (hrs.length < 2) {}
h = "0" + hrs;
}
days = string (days);
var counter: String = days + ":" + h + ":" + min + ":" + seconds;
time_txt. Text = counter;
}

However, when I press on "control + enter ' to test my timer, staic text on the screen is displayed. Any ideas on what could go wrong? If it helps at all, here's the URL for the tutorial: http://www.oman3d.com/tutorials/flash/video/countdown.php

Thank you!

It's quite strange. I just downloaded and open the file in flash without problem and he showed that it was published for flash 6, a.s. 1.0.

Well, I don't think I changed anything either, but the code to fix the stuff I mentioned above:

  • How to paint on screen consitently using a timer...

    Hi all

    I have a painting of the question on the screen using a timer. The timer updates my vairable (or 'against') regularly, but fails to attract the vaule consitently on-screen. In other words, when I try to 'draw' the new value of the counter to the screen, it only is not draw constantly. He, however, will draw it always when I press on and hold down a key or hold the trackball in a certain direction (because I use them in the application). I don't know why this is exactly the case. Maybe I need some sort of "listener". Thank you in advance for your help!

    Here is a code of the timer...

    public class MainTimerClass {}

    public MainTimerClass (final chart graphics)
    {

    Super();

    game_time = new Timer();
    Countdown = new TimerTask() {}

    public void run() {}

    -TimeStop;

    String time_out = ' "+ timestop;

    graphics.setColor (Color.WHITE);
    graphics.fillRect (230, 5, 50, 30);
    graphics.setColor (Color.DODGERBLUE);
    graphics.setFont (myFont_18);

    graphics.drawText (time_out, 230,10);

    }

    };

    game_time.scheduleAtFixedRate (count, 500, 1000);

    }

    }

    Try the updateDisplay() call to the last line within the run of your MainTimerClass class method.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones countdown timer will not be reset (also published in Council 8220)

    I have put up with this problem for quite a while and starts to get really frustrated with it.  There are several topics that describe the 'why' is happening on other Blackberry (Storm 9530) devices but not how to fix it.  At least not how to solve this problem on a 8220.  They all mention the same symptoms, I'm having and related countdown of the number of "negative" (which does make any sense to me).  It was mentioned that the 744 hours is a turning point, and I agree.  I think it has to do with the idea that the timer was not supposed to go to more than 1 month/31 days/744 hours.

    Currently, my timer shows 00:00:00 if I reset, but if I hit the start, he goes to 743:59:59 and countdown starts.  If I try all 1 minute and 5 minutes or whatever it is I have the patience to test, again, it will count down to 0, and then roll immediately to 743:59:59.  If I add 99:00:00, it shows that on the countdown screen, and then if I try to change the time again he auto-remplit with 03:00 (it will still use the rest of I put in next so divided by 24 hours).  Another example, if I put 24:00:00, it will add 24 hours to the existing number (in hundreds) and the field will fill with all zeros again.  I can only reduce the time shown on the clock having a rest and then reset to 0.  Essentially, I can always get to show a multiple of 24 hours, but I'm just trying to set reminders of the laundry, etc...  It's ridiculous!

    (v4.6.0.180 platform 4.1.0.61) I've done a zillion battery tire since it started and I don't want to wipe all my applications...

    mmlowe, please don't double post your questions in the forum... rude and someone has just to clean it up.  Were responded to your other post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Pearl-BlackBerry-8100/Countdown-timer-won-t-reset/...

  • Can I use the Time Capsule wireless for multiple computers without using it as a router?

    I am looking for an external backup for 2 computers drive.  I have a desktop iMac and MacBook Air.  I like the idea of being able to back up my MacBook Air wireless, but I need to make sure that it will work the way I need to.

    I already have a wireless router that works well for me, I don't need the time Capsule to act as a router. I'm just needing a wireless backup drive.  So, the question is, can I use the only time Capsule as a storage device for backup of wifi or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?  My fear is that the router service is not as good as the router, I currently have.  I live in a big House of 2 floors, making it very difficult to receive a strong signal throughout the House.

    can I use time Capsule only as a backup wireless storage device or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?

    Time Capsule need to connect to your router/modem existing using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.

    If you plan to use the time Capsule to back up your Mac with the help of the application Time Machine on every Mac, the Mac will have to save on the wireless signal Time Capsule for the process to be officially supported by Apple.

    While it is possible to turn off wireless on the Time Capsule and try to save it to your existing wireless network... and it pourrait work... but there will be no Apple support backup problems... so it would be a good idea to plan to use Time Capsule wireless backup purposes.

  • Can I use a Time Capsule 2 TB model a1409 as a backup hd

    Can I use a Time Capsule 2 TB model a1409 as a backup hd?

    Potentially Yes. Your goal is to use the time Capsule to back up or duplicate Macintosh HD to your MacBook Pro? In the first case, you would use just Time Machine. For the latest, you can use third-party utilities, such as Carbon Copy Cloner or data backup to name a few.

    Whatever utility use you it can work with the Capsule of time as a backup destination.

    A lot of users on these forums recommend OWC (www.macsales.com) Mercury Elite Pro series JEP due to their durability, affordability and quality of construction. I have about 6 of them connected to my iMac and have never had a speaker to fail. When a hard drive fails, substitute is a 5-minute process to re - use the box. To help you get started, you can find the line to: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/1394/USB/EliteAL/eSATA_FW800_FW400_USB

    Your phone number come from your SIM, and when you open a session and activate FaceTime. It should appear automatically. If it is not, then I would say that your FaceTime does not complete the activation process. If you go to settings > FaceTime, you see something awaiting activation or waiting for activation under the switch to turn it on?

  • My verse ATT modem (non apple devices to use this modem} is connected to the ATT line, Time Capsule (iPhones, Macs Time Capsule use) via ethernet Uverse.) Non apple devices can collect data from iPhones or Mac using the time Capsule?

    My verse ATT modem ({use of devices not apple wifi of this modem} is connected to the ATT line, Time Capsule (iPhones, Macs use the wifi of the time Capsule) and connect to the Uverse modem via ethernet.)

    Both devices are set to the highest security and each uses separate passwords.

    Non apple devices can collect data from iPhones or Mac using the time Capsule?

    With a bit of work by someone who knows how to do such things, not Apple computers could read some files on the Mac if file sharing is configured on the network... devices non-Apple and... He knew the device passwords or administrator for Macs.

    Mac could also play the files on other Macs if file sharing has been implemented and the device password or admin was known.

    If you ask if a PC can read the files on the Time Capsule, the answer is Yes, without doubt, assuming that the PC knew the password of device for the time Capsule.

  • I have 2 imacs and a laptop computer and you want to back up all three wireless via time capsule on my existing wifi network. If we can also use the time capsule as my wifi and replace my uverse wifi, that would be great. possible?

    I have 2 imacs and a laptop computer and you want to back up all three wireless via time capsule on my existing wifi network. If we can also use the time capsule as my wifi and replace my uverse wifi, that would be great. possible?

    If you want to make sure that you will be able to get the Apple support in case of problems or questions with your backups, you must use the wireless Time Capsule to back up your Mac.

    As long as the time Capsule provides a wireless signal, you can decide who to your 'main' network, then use it wireless Uverse for "guest", or children. If you do not need the Uverse router/modem wireless at all, it is possible to turn off wireless on the device and make it work only as a support modem/router...with Uverse wired.

    At this point, you can start thinking about how you want to configure things and get back in touch if you need some advice on how to do it.  We need to know what operating system that uses the Mac that you normally use to administer the time Capsule, provide good instructions, if you need it.

    I used a time capsule in my house.  Now, I have another network put in place and would like to set my time for back ups and NOT as a WiFi capsule

    If it is possible to turn off the WiFi on the Time Capsule, which only leaves you with the option to back up your Mac (s) using a wired Ethernet cable connection between the Mac (s) and the Time Capsule.

    Are you OK with that?

    I have a Macbook air running OS X El Capitan. I try to use my Time Capsule as external hard drive. But when I look in the Finder, nothing is available for shared devices. I don't know if I need to restart the time Capsule or change the wireless setting, etc. ?

    Please advise...

    The TC appears in airport utility? If not then it is probably not part of your network or is lost... upgrade installed you El Capo because there a lot of questions.

    What is the TC plugged into the network by ethernet? And configured properly? Are you to internet via the TC... but can not see his drive... that would be typical?

    Have you set Finder preferences to display the network drives? Apple keeps making it difficult for some unknown reason.

    You actually have to mount the drive TC if it appears under shared... it still may not appear if you double click on it. Under the search box on the top of the right hand you see Connect (As) box, type the name or IP address of the TC in there... Make sure that you save the password from your keychain.

    I try to use my Time Capsule as external hard drive

    For the storage of the files it is fine.

    For the execution of direct files for an application in the Mac, you are very likely to damage or corrupt the file at some point.

    And how do you do backups? Time Machine can't help you... it won't work.

    Backup is crucial, especially if you do things apple say not to do... That is to say move your photos or the iphoto library to the TC and try to use direct from there... expect any day to need a resumption of the library.
