Using CS4 in a CS3 training course?
I just bought DW CS4. I have the experience of Web site, but none with DW. Our local school tech offers a course of DW, but it is based on the CS3 and it is the software that we use in class. I asked of the potential problems of training, but the registration office could not help and the instructor did not. Date registration deadline is approaching approach...
For those who are familiar with both versions, do you think a newbie DW could beneift in such a course? Be totally lost? Not worth the time/cost?

Depends on what you hope to get out of the race - and the quality of the instructor.
Dreamweaver CS4 added new features, such as the browser Code Live View and associated files. It also has two modes for the property inspector: HTML and CSS, then CS3 has one mode.
I teach Dreamweaver in a training centre approved in London (Highlander) and was very frustrated to have to continue to teach about CS3 for the first three months after the release of CS4. My frustration was based on the fact that I think that CS4 is so much better. However, earlier this year, asked me to teach a course on Dreamweaver MX, which is about seven years old. In many ways, I was pleasantly surprised, because there is a lot of continuity in Dreamweaver. Although I missed the functionality that I now use on a daily basis, the old version was reassuring familiar.
The real problem is the quality and competence of the instructor. To get the most out of Dreamweaver, you need a solid understanding of HTML and CSS. If instructor is just going through the motions to teach you what do the different bits and pieces of Dreamweaver, it will be a waste of time. It will also be a waste of time, if the course teaches you the old techniques, such as provision based on a table and using "layers" (Divs PA) for the page layout. The difference in versions of Dreamweaver, in short, is the least of your concerns.

The only way to do it (at least that I know) is to use CS4 to open the .indd and then save for CS3. I know that I will lose some features and that things could get mutilated, but it is really important that I get this it as soon as possible. I use CS4 for development flash playbook and want to use the native device PIN feature.
So, I tried to use the QNX API in my project. But I am not getting any compile errors and so unable to use it.

I was using CS4 which felt no option to import the SWC files and mark them as external. CS5.5 fixed the issue.

I have Dreamweaver CS6 but want to update for cc, how ever I did mine and I sign in and upward at the site web adobe and want to use css Designer because with my courses, I do and they use CC. How can I get the upgrade with this new refund. Thank you
There is no way to update the version of perpetual license / DWCS6 drive to the creative cloud, they are two completely separate programs. There used to be a discount for the Creative Suite owners switch to CC, but that ship has sailed.

I currently run a personal use license of Illustrator CS3 on windows XP on dell desk top and AComputer dell laptop > high Dragon died and the xp is on its last breath, I upgraded to na mini apple mac and one Apple top pro tour. the two run the parallel software with windows 8.1 for any substance of windows ole I still need, I tried to install the illustrator software, but as I am still registered with older machines and the limit is 2 PCs, can't do the software to load. We know how to unregister my existing machines for me to migrate software to my new machines. Keep in mind on computer, portable said is completely dead

I'm having a problem loading and using my Adobe Photoshop CS3. This is the third time that I use this forum. I us a PC. The operating system is "Microsoft Windows 7 Home prem". I recently had to remove from my hard drive and reload the operating system with all the updates and load to the top of my existing software. All my software works except my Photoshop CS3, which I use most. I loaded the software disc and download online. The system of charge very well and activation is complete. Here are the main things that don't work properly, I have noticed so far. First of all, I can't open my camera RAW (I can with my Lightroom software, but not with my Photoshop software?). So I can't open any of my files of digital camera? Second, I can open a .jpeg file and use the Photoshop software and I can save the changes, but when I turn off my calculated the software doesn't seem to be on my computer. When I go to Windows ' search program and files "software is not located here. When I go to "Uninstall" the software of the foldername is there it is. "Photoshop CS3" but there isn't any size file to it IE 400 MB, while my software "Lightroom" on the 'uninstall' section will have a file for example size 400 MB tied to it. Thirdly, I also have a photosoftware of B + W, which operated in Photoshop; It's "NIK software - Silver Efex Pro" and it is located in the subtitle of 'filter' of Photoshop CS3. I use Silver Efex and all functions are working properly, but I can't save the file, it does not save the changes to save.

_root.gotoAndStop ('whatever_frame'); will work unless this swf is loaded into another swf. in this case, you must use a relative path to the main timeline (for example, _parent or _parent._parent etc.).

I use CS4. Can I open files CS6? I get 'not available on your system plug-ins' messages and I would like to open anyway, but does not work by clicking OK.
InDesign CS4 can open the .indd files, .indt and .inx from earlier versions, but not from later. It should, however, be able to open files saved or exported to more recent versions, .idml being understood than non support for features will be lost, text will likely reflow due to differences in the engines of texts between versions and more the gap between versions more likely, there must be significant differences from the original. You need to be sure that CS4 is at version 7.0.6 read the .idml.

How can I make the text highlight using the i-beam in a browser using CS4?
Whenever I have test a movie or view in browser html, the text is selectable/unlightable. How can I do so that I can highlight text and copy/past. You know the options when you right click after you select the text. Thanks to a bouquet. I use cs4.

Adobe Flash plug-in facilities for the compulsory training courses
Hello.. We have an environment that uses IE 11 on PC under Windows 7. There are about 300 users who will need to take this training. The problem is, the Adobe flash plugin requires administrative access to install. There are others who use different browsers, but most of the time IE 11 is used. When I tested it on we could not launch the course without the plugin and we could not install the plugin without administrator rights. Another in my Department thinks that it will install without admin rights, but from what I experienced after testing with multiple users, the installation of the plugin on IE browsers requires admin access. I would like to know if there is a more fast/best way to get this plugin installed without doing it manually on all machines in 300?
The version of Flash player on each PC varies, some need to be updated, but some are the most common available for the OS from W7.

Yes, Flash Player written in protected directories, as such, need administrator rights. However, according to your post, it seems that you distribute Flash Player in your org. If so, you will need Flash Player to license for distribution (free for most use cases). Once you apply for a license, you will have access to full installers MSI and EXE that you can use to distribute Flash Player via any number of tools of software, such as Microsoft SCCM distribution, among others.

MS training courses is "undefined".
Whenever I click on 'start course' on the Microsoft Learning site, it is that the page is "undefined". I've updated all programs on my new laptop to meet the system requirements to run the course, and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
