Using Movie Maker in Windows

If I put too many photos in a project, how to save the excess on the second DVD?

I use Windows Movie Maker Version 6.0.6002.18273.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.

That's the message, it gave me: DVD Maker cannot burn a DVD because not all the content you've chosen fits on the disc.  Please delete videos or photos and then try again.

I don't have videos.  Just photos.

Thanks for any help that anyone is able to give.

===========================================
I was wondering... What is the total duration of the project?

Another question... it's a lot of photos just for a slide
See the... I wonder if you just try to create a backup
your photos? I ' f_yes_Movie Maker / DVD Maker are the
apps bad for the task.

That said...

An alternative would be to divide the project into two components
While remaining in Movie Maker. Save each file in the. Film WMV
format in a folder on your hard drive.

Then import them. WMV files in DVD Maker, one at a time
and burn two DVDs...

How to divide the project...

(before you split it may be a good idea to make a copy of)
the project .mswmm file)

See the following article:

Movie Maker - how to divide a project complex smaller?
http://www.myvideoproblems.com/tutorials/MovieMaker/SplitComplexProject.htm

Open your. MSWMM project file and go to... Timeline view...

Remove the last half of the photos of the timeline...

Publish (save) the other photos (first half) as a WMV
movie file to a folder on your hard drive.

If you need information about the edition, see the following article:

Windows Vista - publish a movie in Windows Movie Maker
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/publish-a-movie-in-Windows-Movie-Maker

Now... reopen the project complete .mswmm once more in
timeline view and delete the first half photos.

Publish (save) the remaining photos (last half) as a WMV
movie file to a folder on your hard drive.

Now you should have two. WMV files movie that you can
play in Windows Media Player, share with friends, or import
in creating DVDs and create video DVDs.

  • Corrupted Movie Maker in Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium, associated with error, and I can't find the files manually to use, uninstall or remove.

I had Windows Live Essentials Movie Maker installed on my system at some point, but then I continued to see live pop up in the Task Manager and no matter how many times I killed him, he always came back even though I was not using the program, so I uninstalled Windows Essentials 2012 to stop this, and it kept popping up , so I went into the system and manually delete anything with Windows Live in the name of via Explorer and then a bit in the registry. He solved the problem, however, now I would once again use Movie Maker, and then I'm gone on the download site to download Movie Maker, thinking this would reinstall it and I'd be set (other than to have to look at consume resources when closed). I tried to get just Movie Maker, but the windows site told me that I had already installed (I can't find something that he mentions just anywhere), so I found another download Movie Maker, an earlier version, which has installed, but did not have the features that I need, so I uninstalled it, so I thought I would setup the whole Windows/Windows Live Essentials 2012 thinking that can replace bad Windows files detected as a facility, but he did not, he just installed anything ELSE in the software suite and I still haven't Movie Maker. He gave me this error (error: 0 x 80280007) when I tried to redo the installation:

Very well, dandy, I'm happy to do, except that I can't FIND it to uninstall, and it is not in programs and features (uninstall or change a program list). Thus, two options. can someone tell me how to

    1. Movie Maker WORK, tell me where it is and how to start (there is not in Program Files at all).

2 tell me how to remove completely ANY TRACE of all Windows Live Essentials 2012 so I can do a fresh install of it that works.

I went to the support conversation Windows and asked how to remove traces of Movie maker, and the tech told me to do:

    del \"%SystemRoot%\system32\dllcache\wmm.dll\".
    del \"%SystemRoot%\system32\dllcache\moviemk.exe\".
    del \"%ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\. \ »
    rmdir /s \"%ProgramFiles%\Movie Maker\.

But the thing is, none of those that exist to remove, and so I don't think he really UNDERSTOOD what is my problem (more, it hung up). I didn't run them, it seemed useless.

Alternative: Point Me in the direction of another free software that works as a Movie Maker program. I don't like that makes the software, I just need to put a bunch of short video clips together in a longer video.

In case anyone cares, it's corrected now. I had to do a repair installation to fix but. Finally, here's what worked:

Is the format of the file. WMV or. WLMP?

WMV is a film format and should play in Windows Media Player
or most any other multimedia player.

WLMP is a Windows Live Movie Maker project file and is useful
in WLMM and all the original sources files must also be available.

If you have a WLMP file... Go back to your Win7 machine and save
    as a WMV movie file.

  • Unable to save my movie in high resolution using Movie Maker 2.6 (Win 7)

    Hello:

I spent a ton of time and produced a slide show of wedding for the wedding of my daughter with overlay of music and various transitions. After all that work, I can't save my project in the movies high resolution using Movie Maker 2.6. I tried to go up to 512K Broadband (except option). But anything on this resolution, the film becomes black at some point. But you can still here the music. Why? Is it possible to go to resolutions higher for a slide show of bin? It is a powerful laptop with plenty of memory.

I have closed all other applications. Uncontrolled codec / file type compatibility etc. No difference. BTW, the file does not transfer or open to the latest Live Movie Maker help. That might have been a solution.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • No audio in Movie Maker on Windows 8

I have Movie Maker installed with all Windows Essentials which are pre-installed on my laptop Windows 8. I started using Movie Maker and I imported a video of music in there. When he finished preparing, there was a great video, but no audio signal appeared. Also, when I add music manually in the home menu, the music is always silent. The video is fine when I open it upwards on Xbox video or Windows Media Player, just not movie maker. And if I can't find the right sound to cut, then Movie Maker would be useless for me. Help, please! AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

If so, then validate the application in the Windows Live Essentials forum for better support.

  • AVI format not recognized by Windows Movie Maker and Windows Media Player

HI, I use the Camileo S10. Download AVI files to PC (Vista) and openness to all ArcSoftw goes well.
I want to edit the films widely and must use Movie Maker for that. This AVI format used by Toshiba is not recognized. I tried several Codecs but my last hope lies with Toshiba to supply a Codec compatible Vista that works.

Please provide a Codec for Movie Maker to AVI from Toshiba format...

    Hello

Microsoft Movie Maker supports wmv format.
If you want to change other formats, then you must use the option: import video.
This will help import videos saved in another format.

Otherwise, you need to install a free tool to convert avi to mpg.
You can then use the Movie Maker for editing video.

  • Difference between Windows movie maker vs Windows live movie maker and Windows photo gallery live vs Windows Photo Gallery

Title: Windows original Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker and windows photo gallery. picture of Windows live and Windows Live Movie Maker. What is the difference between these programs and who is better and easier to work with?

The answer is all one could expect from a "Microsoft Support Engineer". "." It is not an answer, it is a lazy response that obscures the issue. Who the * wants to sit here by clicking on the reference links? Try to take the time to answer the question correctly and clearly. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker, despite its flaws, is logical and easy to learn. Windows Live Movie Maker is the product of developers geeks trying to justify their work by producing a piece of absurd confusion that would be considered to be an 'upgrade' because it seems different from its predecessor. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker is MORE like film professional software publisher of Live Movie Maker, which is just no unwanted standard which is more like a project of diploma a graduate programmer. Movie Maker design allowed me to make the easy transition to the most advanced professional software, but this can never be achieved with the Windows Live Movie Maker, which is ridiculously long as stupid as his name.
