Using my laptop as a SOUND system.

My laptop is running Windows XP Pro.
I have 5000 LifeCam installed and using a USB port.  I can set the parameters of 'speech' in the control panel to use the LifeCam and properly train the microphone and testing of the cheek through my speakers very well. After clicking 'Finish' HOW DO I GET WHAT I SAY IN THE MIC to PLAY through THE speakers?  AN "OPEN LINE" CAN BE SET UP SO THAT WHEN I SPEAK IT JUST PLAYS MY TALK ON SPEAKERS?

Hello D.Ordway,

Thank you for your message.  Please, try the following steps:
Double-click on the taskbar of the speaker icon > click on 'Options' > select 'properties '.
Make sure that the 'Micro' and 'PC speakers' have check marks.
In addition, ensure that your output device and Microphone are not silent by displaying the mute boxes on each category
You can then adjust the volume coming out of your microphone with the volume slider, you can adjust the bass etc.
To do this, click on 'Options' > select 'advanced controls '.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.
See you soon

  • Qosmio G30 hums when it is connected to a sound system

I use my laptop Qosmio G30-201 with my djing system. When I connect it to my mixer, I get a strong buzzing sound coming through the speakers. If I disconnect the charger it stops buzzing. Can I do to stop this noise I need to charge my cell phone while I'm djing on it?

    Hello

I studied in this forum and found two discussions and debates on similar problems.

The point is that your Qosmio and djing system have different potentials to ground and the induction of the voltage in a loop of mass. Maybe you can try to connect the laptop to the source without cause.

  • Dell XPS L702x and 5.1 sound system?

Hello, I posted this thread just to make sure that my dell xps l702x will be work perfectly with 5.1 sound system, I heard that it works and I need to buy a card, external - that true?

I will be grateful if you could post information how to properly connect the 5.1 System.

    Best regards, Martin.

Hello. many owners of XPS L502x and a L702x reported that 5.1 works. You must use the Realtek, no native audio driver audio driver in Windows...

    1. connect the speakers together following the scheme of the instructions of the manufacturer, but do not connect to the laptop yet.

    2. on the laptop, click Start > Control Panel > Realtek HD Audio Manager > Speaker/headset > speaker configuration. See the screen capture below.

    3. in the drop-down list of "Configuration" box - the box with the arrow pointing down - click on the arrow and select '5.1 Speaker. "

    4. connect the 5.1 system speakers to the laptop using regular stereo cables with a plug (3.5 mm plug) mini-phone at each end.

    a. connect the rear speakers to the jack to the microphone of the laptop.

    b. connect the speaker of Center/sup on the left headphone jack.

    c. connect the front speakers to the right headphone jack.

    5. turn on the speakers.

    6. on the laptop, click on the 'Audio Test '.  If the sound does not have the correct speakers, re - organize the cables.

  • Laptop not recognize its system on the computer

My laptop seems to be activate / recognizing the sound system on the machine that rarely. It becomes very difficult to predict and use the machine. Any thoughts why it's happening?

    Hi Goyal,.

The problem may be due, if there is a problem with your volume settings, your sound card or driver.

    1. What is the brand and model of the laptop?

    2. you receive an error code or message?

    3. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

    4. are you able to hear the speakers built into the laptop?

Run the Audio troubleshooter, updating the sound card drivers, by following the steps in the link below.

  • The sound system preference and Callnote

I installed Callnote to record Skype sessions, but I found that it was interfering with the audio system so I uninstalled using AppCleaner. However, I have always had a rest of Callnote in the input and output peripheral windows from the Sound System Preferences: How can I get rid of him?

Also (in the spirit of BOGOF - buy one get one free), it's annoying that my startup to open Safari, it starts but does not show a window - I always click on the Safari icon in the Dock. This started to happen with Yosemite, I think; until a window appears automatically. I presume that it does not show because "Hide Safari" is an inalterable permanent choice in the Safari drop-down menu, but why is this so when no other application has this selected permanently?

Don't know about the first part, but for Safari, try going to system preferences/general and uncheck the narrow windows when you exit an application.

  • 5.1 sound system with the Satellite X 200

    Hello

This is my first post here, because so far, I was able to solve questions about my laptop. In the meantime, I acquired a 5.1 sound system to connect to my sense of machine, it would be fairly simple because all technologies implemented in this model and the output SPIDF and so on and so forth... Well it wasn't :)

I have searched online for a solution but nothing obvious came and I tried just to stick everywhere just sound decision to experiment and see what I get, but apparently there's still only 2 speakers working more bass.
Can someone give me a hand?

Thanks in advance, best regards from Portugal

    Bruno Belo

    Boas!

The x 200 sound system is a 2.1 system, so to have a 5.1 system, you need an external decoder and bypass the internal system through the SPDIF output.

You really have a 5.1 sound system or just a 5.1 system speakers? If it is really a decoder you should have a digital input to connect the SPDIF output and set it up to play a mp3 player at a minimum 4.1 with a stereo source, for example.

If you only have a 5.1 system (or digital) speakers you will need an external 5.1 sound card, some are connected to other pcmcia USB.

    What is Azores ;)

  • G6-2277 5.1 sound system

Hello. I have laptop g6-2277. I want to know if my products supports 5.1 audio systems.  It has the function dolby on it and an hdmi output, but I want to have 5.1 on it.  If I buy an and successfully connect to my laptop, I'll be able to receive 5.1 sound quality?

    It supports?

    Hello nerox13.

Yes your Pavilion G6-2277 portable supports a 5.1 sound system. I looked at the specs of your laptop here.

After researching on your laptop, it has Altec Lansing speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio built. It will generate "5.1 sound quality.

You can also download the drivers that are supported for 5.1 on Google.

If you have any questions please let me know.

  • My laptop makes a sound rattle noise

    Hello

My laptop started making a rattling sound when I use it... fan area I think. I vaccumed the fan in the case where the problem - was there some dust in it - but she continues to shake occasionally after I turn it on.

Should I stop using my laptop - is it safe to continue to use? Or can I continue to use it and ignore the sound?

    Thank you very much!

Are you sure this is in the region of fan?
In my opinion, you can continue to use your laptop, but I recommend you contact the closest service Toshiba and ask for help.

BTW: what model of laptop do you have?

  • Need advice for speakers or sound system for Satellite L series

Please advice or speakers acoustic system for L-series satellites

    Hi Svetlana

It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have exactly. Anyway, it is not easy to make good suggestion because in the market, there are many good external sound systems and especially the good one are a bit expensive.

In my opinion, you should talk with your dealer and see in what price you want to buy speakers. Without a doubt, my favorite system is Logitech Z3.

  • IPAD playing on my Surround sound system

Hello, I currently my IPAD 4 (Retina Display with lightning connector) connected to my audio system surround sound home. I ran a wire to an analog output from the transformer to the IPAD headphones Jack and it seems to play fine through my speakers. I also have the IPAD sitting on a Belkin dock with no entry to the outer (this is why I use the headphone jack). I have to manually change the titles on Itunes.

As I continue to enjoy the music through my system, I'd do it to make it more effective. I wish I could change the track using a remote control (my universal remote does not recognize the IPAD). I tried a few external docks which have their own speakers (as well as a Bose Sound Dock Altec); an auxiliary input and a remote control and they do not seem to work with my system and I don't know why. Music will not play when I connect the phone directly on the entry on these docks - nor the remote that accompanies these docks work.

Can anyone recommend a solution for me or a product "universal docking station" my IPAD can sit with an auxiliary input and a remote that works with my surround sound system? Or I'm just something wrong?

Your ideas and the entrance is appreciated by words.

    Thank you.

  • Tecra M2: sound system stops working after a while

    Hello

I used my TECRA M2 a year without serious problems. A moth started it my problems with audio - after the start (no matter if via boot or wake up from hibernation) his (speakers) system is functioning normally. After a while (several tens of minutes, hours) sound system stops working (no sound from your speakers or headphones). No errors appear, but not sound. When you try to adjust the volume via the Windows icon on the bar the task CPU usage becomes very high.

I decided to reinstall my M2 - the first attempt was clean install of WinXP SP2 standard support - sound problem has not changed. Today I decided to restore the system recovery CD, but the result is the same :-(

Any idea? -I suppose that problem Council... Now, I made a mistake when entering - beeps system (such a beep as during startup) - interesting :-/

Except sound problem - another strange thing - when I send my XP to restart in about 10% of the attempts he goes off and does not start. Starts normally after pressing power button...

Any ideas would be much appreciated
