Using Primavera P6 project

We want to serve you Primavera P6 project to enter dates of start/end of project Instantis phases in order to plan the resources via Instantis. What is the best way to do it? We thought the export of P6 in the MSP, then in Instantis? Best practices for a use like this case?

Yes, here are the steps to make this work

  1. 1. print a copy of your Active calendar / roadmap for reference
  2. 2. in EnterpriseTrack, create a new project and include the team you want to use
  3. 3 export your schedule/roadmap for MSP
  4. 4. insert or remove columns from the MSP on the asset/roadmap calendar to match the format of the schedule/roadmap that you exported from the EnterpriseTrack.  You can do the same for the actual and planned Effort.
  5. 5. in your schedule/roadmap active, add a text column and copy the resource assignments in the text column (add the same column of text to your schedule/roadmap exported EnterpriseTrack)
  6. 6 remove all resources in your Active calendar / road map by going to the table of resources and removing resources
  7. 7. highlight the lines of Active schedule / roadmap and copy them into the schedule/roadmap from the second line (this will keep the beginning of the project at the same time)
  8. 8. change the two line so it has the same start date as the start date of the project and make sure that it is at the same level as line 1.
  9. 9. Remove line 1
  10. 10. your resource assignments. (Refer to the printing or the text column)
  11. 11. Save and import the project schedule/roadmap to EnterpriseTrack

  • Why filtering by "unused" shows the files that are used in the project?

Above the list of clips, I choose 'unused '.  I thought that this would be a practical way to show me the files I can delete the library because they are not used.  The thing is, I select this option, I see it shows me files that are certainly in use on the timeline, then what's the point of this?  How can I show actually files that are not used and as long as I can safely remove?

It shows the unused portions of clips. If you want to remove a clip that has any items used in a project, you're better activation of the clipping indicator used. Any clip with an orange bar has been used.

  • Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    Hi all

I need a project that the current NI9203 with mode of analysis samples and samples of the accelerometer of the NI 9237 with FPGA mode. It could be achieved? Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    I use labview2009.

    Thank you very much.

Yes, they can. This mode is called hybrid mode. To use the Mode of LabVIEW FPGA IO modules, simply slide the module to the target FPGA in the LabVIEW project, disconnected from scan mode. Then use LabVIEW FPGA to program the modules and use I/O variables for read and write I/O on the remaining modules. When you use a LabVIEW FPGA Mode on one or more modules, the logic of the scan Mode CompactRIO on the FPGA, known as the RIO Scan Interface, is compiled in a single application of FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA VI. If no module is configured to use the scan mode, the RIO Scan Interface is not included in the compilation.

  • Conversion of a project to use a library project

    Hello.

I'm trying to convert a large main VI with a lot of sub - VI to a project that would use rather a project library. In particular, I want to pack all or nearly all my SubVIs in a library project (so that I can later reuse these subVIs to various projects) and the main VI would use this library. I hope I have the idea of libraries in the project correctly.

Now, I thought I'll Pack all my subVIs in a library project and save it as ProjectLib, so I'll create a new project with my main VI and add ProjectLib to this project.

Here is my ProjectLib with virtual for subVIs folders and Utils (Utils are just more generic subVIs)

and here is my main project VI, with the library of projects above added:

Now, I'm sure I'm doing this wrong, but I can't know what would be the right way to go about this, despite reading and re-reading helps LabView to articles on the issue (like this: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvconcepts/project_libraries/). Nowhere can I find a guide step by step conversion my VI existing with a lot of subVIs to this structure.

For example, when I opened my main VI now, I see errors caused by all the missing of subVIs. My thought is that I now say my main VI: ' look, this is a ProjectLib I have included, see? Take this Subvi from there! "but I don't see an option for this.

I would be grateful any ellucidation on how do properly what I'm trying to do. I apologize in advance for any stubbornness on my part.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello SenSLabs,

It seems that you are attempting to add a project (lvproj) to another project, rather than building a library (lvlib or lvlibp) and adding that the new project.  The easiest way to build a standard .lvlib is described here:

LabVIEW Help: Creating a library to a project folder project

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvhowto/convert_fold_lib/

Once you have built the lvlib (from the old project), add this library in your project (new) and you should be good to go.

  • How to locate where the shared Variables are used in the project.

I'm looking everywhere where a shared Variable is used in my project. Right-clicking does not provide a find. The display hierarchy does not help. In the Project Explorer, the appellants find displays only the names of the screw called, not the many places where the call is made.

Does anyone know how to find the location where a shared Variable is used?

Edit-> find and replace. For "Select object" click and access features-> Structures-> shared Variable.

  • How you Archives used in your project?

    Hi all.

You can add a metadata column to the first project Navigator to show which was used.  But what can you do with this information?  I want to archive all the source files, but by dragging the files from the project tree in the Finder does nothing.  Copies the entries in the project tree, does nothing when pasted in Finder or in a text editor.

So... are there no way to identify the images actually used in your project, and then copy the files source somewhere?  Seems to be a fundamental, important feature for an NLE.

    Thank you!

  • How to get a list of paths for all the files used in a project

I have a CC Pro first project that has a large number of bins.  A sequence in one of these bins uses files of the other tanks.  I'll try to find the locations of all of the files used in the project.

    (1) obviously I can select each item in the timeline and display in the finder, but there are a lot of clips

    (2) the use of the video associated with each file in the project would help.  However

    1. I have not found a way to display only the clips that have the use of the video if all locations have not been developed.

    2. use video shows its use for all sequences, so it should be manually checked traction towards the bottom for each file see if it is used in the sequence in question.

    (3) I tried to export the project to the final cut pro xml.  The url path gives me the information I need.  For some reason, however, when I do the single export item information are here, not the information for all the other elements of the project.

    (4) I got tired of export for speedgrade, and all file names are there.  However, the railways are not.

Basically, I want to find all the files in the project and transfer them to a specific folder for this project.  There must be a way to do this, but I'm not...

You can import the sequence in a new project and then use the project manager to make them all together.

  • Export the sequence XML file browse for use in another project

When I generate a browse sequence based on the table of contents by using zero for the level of the pound, rather than get A, A1, A2, B, B1, B2, I receive A, B, A1, A2, B1, B2.  The table of contents first crosses all elements of level 1, cycles backwards through all the level 2 element, then 3rd level, etc.

My solution was to automatically create the sequence to browse at level 0 and then manipulate manually to the output depending on how my readers would actually read my book online (IE A Aa A1 A1a A1b A2 A2a A2b B B1 etc etc).

Now that I have my sequence in the correct order for this project, I don't want to repeat these steps each time I create a new version of my HLO for the guide even after that a few minor updates have been made to the source of the FM.

There is a file named whbrs.xml in the output folder and contains the sequence order of travel that I specified in my no workaround.

Is it possible to export this file to another location for use in another project that references the same guide?

This methodology is much preferred, as I work at a level of the company with several documents (some numbering in the hundreds of pages) and do not want to have to manually use my solution for each project that I update in the next few years.

    Hi Kristopher

You probably don't want to use that particular file, because it is an output file. You'd probably have better luck using the file ProjectName.BRS as this one must be a source file.

However, keep in mind that if (or how) it will work completely will depend on having the recipient project using the same identical structure and identical file names.

  • Is it better to use a single project or to jump back?

    Greetings,

I am using Captivate 4. And I wonder if it is better to use a single project or to jump back?

I have a master project and instead of a big project, I was wondering on jumping small projects and returning to the main.

I tried to understand the idea of jump to slide 10 and jump to another project and then again to slide 20.

Should projects be published in order to see this work?

I'm learning just on Captivate so I'm not sure best practices.

    Thank you.

It is not easy in the Captivate projects to switch to another project at Midway specific slide.  Captivate is configured by default to launch just each project of the first slide.

There are workaround solutions published on this forum who has to jump in the middle of another project, but they may require some complex coding in JavaScript or ActionScript.

  • How to change the highlight color, click the button image and text and sound.  are there packages of buttons for use in my project?

How to change the highlight color, click the button image and text and sound. are there packages of buttons for use in my project?

    Hello

Even if the point of things based Web links buttons created using them is of simple images. Captivate uses simple images. If you need to put your creative hat and not to let the fact that you see the word 'web' scared you somehow. An image is an image. Use on the web, use Captivate. Same case!

If you change the properties of the button, you can activate the legend of success. Fix any sound that you like with the legend of success and it will play when you click the button. If you do not want to see the legend of success, delete the text and configure it as transparent.

  • How to set the project Configuration OSB used by a project of OSB?

    Hello

I use workshop comes with 'Oracle Service Bus 10 gR 1' (Oracle Workshop for WebLogic, Version: 10.3, Build id: 1137967).

Where is the project of Configuration of OSB that must use an OSB project defined?

I deleted a project Configuration OSB. Now, all projects of the OSB associated are in error indicating "this project is not associated with a Configuration of Oracle Service Bus". I created a new OSB Setup project so that I can re - associate "orphan" projects with it. However, I can't find a way to do it.

You can create a new configuration osb project and drag the other projects of the osb on this project.
then I will link them to it. (Be sure to use the oracle service bus in the top right of the eclipse ide view)

  • Changing the file names of the photos used in the projects final cut express

HI, I have a lot of pictures that I've used in some express HD projects final cuts.

File names are not descriptive file name convention, but just standard camera. I want to add descriptive names, which will come out in the finder, but I don't want to damage the projects that I have created. I guess I could change one by one and tell the system where each file. But is there a better way? Thank you!!

If you change the names in the Finder, all clips in your projects will lose the path of the file and you will have to redo the link.

Changing names within the CTF will work OK but will not appear in the Finder, probably it will not work for you.

I suggest you set the browser to display a miniature clip of the photo, that is maybe a solution to easily identify clips.

  • Recommendations for the use of long projects?

    Hello

In older versions of Final Cut Express, I could create Bin projects, work independently on them and they put together a project consisting of smaller projects. Is there a strategy that allows you to manage these projects more in FCPX?

    Thank you in advance.

A few. This is a feature I liked CTF. Although it works exactly the same way in FCP X, you can get close.

My suggestion is to create separate projects for the independent parts of your great 'program '.

When it comes time to compile the final program, create a new project, and then do one of three things:

    (1) copy and paste the parts number to the new project. or

    (2) make each full part in a compound clip and these compounds of channels in the new project (which is probably the closer to the sequences in a final sequence in FCE or FCP legacy); or 3

    (3) each party to a sequence ProRes Quicktime export, re-import, and those in the project final string.

My personal currently selection is 3). That each party is over, I'm doing a master export of it, that gives me a sense of security that everything is fine. I create a special event for finished parts, and then import those (using leave it in Place, so no space is lost). Then, the final project schedule clearly reflects the structure of the part of the program.

  • Are there disadvantages to the use of libraries in the project to organize common code used by different projects?

My company is trying to determine how best to organize and share our common code. We use subVersion. We have several important programs that are deployed on different machines, some of which are running older versions of labview. I read a lot of documents on how to share the code, but I still don't know if it makes sense to use the project libraries to organize the code which will be shared by several projects. Another option is the package build. Can someone comment on the advantages and disadvantages? Thank you.

Because you use several versions of LabVIEW, go with the packages.

The project libraries are stored in a specific version of LabVIEW.  So if someone registers in 2014, you can't use it in 2013.

If you use packet, then you have a core library that is 'installed' for a specific version of LabVIEW.  Each version of LabVIEW can have its own installation of this package.

  • Use of OpenCV project examples

Hi all, I am interested in using OpenCV in my project, I also downloaded from https://github.com/blackberry/OpenCV.

But since I have no experience before using, I would like to know if anyone has a sample project that uses OpenCV... Thankss

I only saw one internally, and it's not open-source.

I'm sure that the web is full of examples of using opencv on other platforms.  That would be your best starting point.

    See you soon,.
