  David, I just tested the following in my lab, you can disable access to netsh for all users in your domain (or via local policy) with a GPO. See the screenshot below.

• Dreamweaver launches for standard user

  I just installed Dreamweaver CC (16.1.0 according to programs and features) on a test via a newly packaged installation computer, and it starts for a standard user.  (It works fine for the administrator).

  The first time a user runs, there is an error message "Dreamweaver fails to start because of problems with permission in writing preferences." followed by "Dreamweaver had problems during the construction of the current menus.xml file menus.  If please remove the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak menus.xml. "It comes out then.

  With future executions only the second error message is displayed.

  I didn't have the instructions about the menus.xml file was likely to be useful, since it works perfectly well for the administrator account.  But just in case, I checked, and menus.bak and menus.xml are identical.

  In case it is relevant, the computer is configured to reject requests for elevation.  (But end users have admin credentials anyway.)  In addition, records AppData and Documents, etc., are directed to a network drive.

  I'm still under investigation, but at this point, it seems that the problem is indeed related to using redirected Application data folders.  This is a problem in an educational context: unless each student has a dedicated machine, the redirected folders are almost essential.  (Besides, all point to the folder AppData\Roaming is that it could be on the network - which is this that "roving" means!  If you want to make sure get local disk, regards the AppData\Local folder.  Of course, on a machine shared that one might get deleted when the user disconnects...)

  In any case, I received an e-mail address to contact so I hope that I will be able to file a timely bug report.  Looking at the sequence of events through the Process Monitor, I think that there are two separate bugs, one related to how the configuration of top-level folders are created (expected to be trivial difficulty; creating a tree of directories is not exactly difficult) and another one in relation to the Menu specifically configuration file (not sure we yet).

  In the meantime, I discovered a workaround solution: If you are running Dreamweaver with the local administrator account (or any account which the AppData\Roaming folder is not redirected) you will find a file named DWMainWindow.xml is created in AppData\Roaming\Dreamweaver CC 2015\en_US\Configuration\Menus\Cache\Menus.  If you create the same folder structure for your other user accounts and copy DWMainWindow.xml in the right place, Dreamweaver creates all the other configuration itself and launch files successfully.

  I did not test yet.  There may be side effects.  Use at own risk.

The store opened, updates applied successfully.  Computer joined to the domain.  Sign in for the first time on this computer as a member of the domain administrator group.  Profile is normally based.  Windows live store tile shows 15 updates, updates applied successfully.  Log off, then back on as a standard domain user.  Store Windows displays 15 update on live tile.  Shop open, 15 updates is displayed in the upper right as usual, click on, try to update, app update screen says there is no update. Live webcam tile said even 15 updates. -This seems to be a permissions issue.  On the desktop if this happens under a standard user account, I am prompted to enter a username Admin and password to install applications to work around this problem, in the store or (metro UI) there isn't this feature.  How to work around this problem?  I found that in the standard user account if I uninstall one of the apps store in need of an update, (xbox music) for example, and then reinstall it from the store, the live tile stores bed 14 updates.  I could do that for all the applications that are installed by default on Windows 8, but it sounds a little crazy.  This problem seems to occur with pre installed applications requiring updates once your profile generated for the first time.  Suggestions?...

• Using Variables in Session for a user connection - sometimes they persist... What am I doing wrong?

  I run a site that requires a user login.  I walked up to the construction of this site as almost a complete newb to CF (and dynamic coding in general), and it's been an experience great learing (with lots of help from you guys).

  However, I guess I never learned the correct way to manage a user login.  It seemed to me that I could just test the credentials entered by the user against the stored in a database, and then set a variable containg of registration number of the user session.  So, not only did I would have an easy way to know who was this user and, therefore, what information to serve, but I could test the existence of a valid connection on all pages in the protected folder, by adding this code to my application.cfc in this folder:

  Unfortunately, it is the nature of the HTTP web requests.  There is NO State maintained from HTTP request to another.  This is normal in the HTTP protocol specifications.

  ColdFusion provides two methods to work around this limitation.  Each method has limits and warnings.  They both rely on the passage of tokens between the client and the server with every request.  These tokens can be passed as variable cookies or URL (GET).  You use the cookie method, which is the simplest and most common. You can experience the limitation of this method.  If something happens to the cookies that the session may be lost.

  You can pass tokens (CFID and CFTOKEN) or JESSIONID through with each request URL query string.  This requires that we add these values for each link, form, cflocation action or other path of the application in our application.  ColdFusion allows the session.urltoken variable to make this easier to do.  The chips will be visible to the user.  If links with an individual token is to share with other users, via e-mail, chat, social networks, etc. and one of those users also use the link for the duration of a session (8 hours apparently in your case).  While the user will access the original user's session.

  Cookies session management is by far the more common choice by the developers of CF.  If these methods do not meet your needs, you would need to go beyond the limitations of HTTP to web applications.  You may be able to achieve with Flex | Air | Flash applications that can be configured to use a connection permanently to the server.  Therefore not suffer nature without cycle State normal HTTP request-response.

  You can change the preference under Configuraiton-> user preferences and then define print reports in color or Monochrome.

  I want to install the Report Builder, but I don't have ColdFusion on my machine, it is installed on a server that I access through a network, actually several. I write ColdFusion pages in Dreamweaver and then simply save them in a folder that I make and test them. I built a tool reports by hand and everything with some success (thanks in large part to this forum of dev)., it takes a long time. I'd like to try this tool, but I don't know that it will not install with CF on my machine. So my question is: can I install a local version of CF on my machine to install and run the reports generator tool, or will who screw things, or even does not work because the server must be said to read the special label? I am sure that we are running MX 7, but with so many servers, I'm not even sure who administers the (s) that I use, and if they want to even try, with all the paperwork to go through.   When you have created your report in the development, you can just download the .cfr resulting production.
  Report Builder is for the development environment and the .cfr is all that is necessary for the runtime environment (assuming that corresponding to your data sources).
