Installation of Report Builder

Hello

I want to install the Report Builder, but I don't have ColdFusion on my machine, it is installed on a server that I access through a network, actually several. I write ColdFusion pages in Dreamweaver and then simply save them in a folder that I make and test them. I built a tool reports by hand and everything with some success (thanks in large part to this forum of dev)., it takes a long time. I'd like to try this tool, but I don't know that it will not install with CF on my machine. So my question is: can I install a local version of CF on my machine to install and run the reports generator tool, or will who screw things, or even does not work because the server must be said to read the special label? I am sure that we are running MX 7, but with so many servers, I'm not even sure who administers the (s) that I use, and if they want to even try, with all the paperwork to go through. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you
Steve

No,

When you have created your report in the development, you can just download the .cfr resulting production.
Report Builder is for the development environment and the .cfr is all that is necessary for the runtime environment (assuming that corresponding to your data sources).

    Hi Maahjoor,

    Try from Report Builder using the rwbuilder.bat in the directory % ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\.

    If you still have questions to
    (a) save the file rwbuilder.bat to %ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\
    (b) now change file rwbuilder.bat the file % ORACLE_HOME%\bin\rwbuilder.bat, by manually hard code the correct paths for:

    $$Instance.directory$$\config\reports\bin\reports.bat
    $$Instance.oracle_home$$\bin\rwbuilder.exe

    In other words, if your instance is C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1, then change the rwbuilder.bat to take into account:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1\config\reports\bin\reports.bat
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1\bin\rwbuilder.exe

    (c) and then re-run the file updated the rwbuilder.bat to the % ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\.

  • Report Builder 10 g does not start on Windows 7 (still reduced)

    When I run the creator of report 10g in my Windows 7 computer, the splash screen appears for a while and then it reduces in the taskbar. Thinking that he loaded and gone to the taskbar, if I click on the icon on the taskbar, it displays a different splash screen, load another copy of Report Builder, which also decreased in the same icon.

    There is no maximize button on right click on the icon. I tried to run as an administrator and also to correct the compatibility, but nothing has worked.
    This problem starts only after a few days of the installation of the developer 10g. It worked well for a few days and then he began to behave like that. Seen this twice now, both times on the re-installation of the developer then the problem disappears.

    Is it possible to solve this problem other than re - install the Oracle Developer?

  • Report Builder charts of Oracle in Oracle Developer Suite 10 g

    Hi everyone, please, help me.

    I'm working on Oracle 10 g (10.1.2.0.2). I need to insert graphs (pie, bar etc).
    I browsed the forum and I fell on the thread below:
    Report Builder charts of Oracle in Oracle Developer Suite 10 g

    He suggests that we should download demos 11g (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html)
    and discover the BI graph.

    BUT the problem is that the installation in the zipped folder guide says very prerequisites for installation of the demo is to have 11g. and it will not work for 10g.
    If this is the case then how I insert charts. I need to complete this work as soon as possible.

    In my research, I also found the thread below where people say that this will work also for 10g.
    http://CN.forums.Oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2247043

    And if possible can anyone explain in brief or detailed steps. It will really help a lot of people.

    I hope that you understand what exactly I wanted to say. Let me know if any questions... Please help me and many others who are struggling.

    You can ignore this error at design time.
    When running, display the Java console to see if the errors are triggered.

  • How to publish a report created by the Oracle Report Builder

    Hello world

    My colleague and I have tried to use the Oracle Report Builder to replace our existing report builder of our ERP system. We have already created the report in Report Builder from the suite of development.

    What we are looking for is a similar solution such as Microsoft reporting services;
    (1) create models of corporate report
    (2) and then download the template files to a location (for example, the folder on the server)
    (3) then all users in the company can access it through a web browser with a few fields which they can enter certain critiria (e.g. order number).
    (4) then send it to the printer and print out must stand exactly as the model.

    Unfortunately, we had very hard time trying to find out what it takes and how to publish this report in Oracle we have created. We spent 15 hours on it, but no results.

    15 hours we tried to install the 'Oracle' service, but finally, my colleague said that it was not what we are looking for you, "report Oracle service" is used to the error of the hosted application on the server, not to publish the report of company created by the "Oracle report bulider.

    We use Oracle Database 10 g for the LES quite a long time already. We had setup the Oracle Developer and the installed Application Server.

    Could someone tell us please what kind of service Oracle we are looking actually. Other guides any suggestion and installation are also the most welcoming.

    Best regards
    Bryan

    Hello

    If you want to be able to run your reports on the web, the best solution is to use the 'Oracle Application Server'

    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/software/products/IAS/htdocs/101202.html

    For example, the stand-alone edition of 'forms and reports Services '.

    Then, use the reports Servlet to submit applications for running a report server:

  • Report Builder 1.0 will not connect to the data source for Reporting SERVICES

    We have a few users who are unable to connect to SSRS on SQL Server 2008 using the Report Builder version 1.0

    Instead of disputed for their IDs, they are requested to select a data source.  This information is supposed to be filled automatically when the user starts the Reporting SERVICES report designer.

    Does anyone know where/how SSRS communicates information to start the application with one click Report Builder, and where, if anywhere, it stores?

  • How do I exit my a plain text, column 2 'page' of the CF Report Builder 10?

    FIRST

    I have a cover page in the Report Builder 10, report header and the size is 11 x 8.5.

    The footer contains labels for the display of the name of the company, all rights..., straight copy..., report name, and date.

    I would like to show it, so I know it will work. The cfoutput tag works only on queries... so is there a CF method to display "header and footer"?

    This experience contains a file with the request .cfm and .cfr files, using Crimson I see the file (test1.cfm)

    test1.cfm:

    SELECTtblStateProvince.State, tblStateProvince.Name, tblFacility.Name such as FName, tblFacility.City, tblFacility.PostalCode, tblFacility.Address,

    tblFacility.OID, ContractNumber, ContractEffectiveDate

    OftblFacility INNER JOIN tblStateProvince ON tblFacility.OIDStateProvince = tblStateProvince.OID
    WHERE(((tblFacility.OID) = 37667));

    Here is where I tried to assign the string to the "labeling" of the report header.

    tblFacility.Name = "Yosemite Valley, LLC"

    TReportStaticText104 = ' #tblFacility.Name # '.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    SECOND

    tblFacility.OID = "#tblFacility.OID #Session.» (initially, I had this in the query, but the "Builder objected (SEE 10 runs this query).") Why is - what the "builder" can't solve this assignment?)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    THIRD

    In (CFeclipse - Browser View) test works except that it displays the query... so that means if there is no field/tblFacility.Name data referred to on my first page, I can't load the label... Right?

    The 'controls' are not something I can program?

    Do not ColdFusion syntax include in the text of the query in the query designer.

    The error message said you that MS Access does not recognize the text of your query.

    Note that the example code I posted must be entirely contained in one. CFM file.

    See you soon

  • Report will run in Report Builder, but hangs in the report server

    Hello

    I am using Oracle 10 g reports to build a report containing many formulas. Everything worked perfectly until I added a condition in a query in the columns of the formulas. After adding it, report to the report server does not work but runs only in Report Builder. If I deleted this condition, report works OK but I need. This condition is very simple, just filtering is a decoded column (i.e. stts = has ')

    Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

    Hello

    What version of application server that you are using your reports?

    If you use PDF subsetting (check the [PDF:Subset] section in the file uifont.ali on your server), then you most likely face to Bug: 5029259 this is 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.2.2. To solve the problem read more Doc ID 363868.1 in support of the Oracle. In short, your options are:

    1 apply a group of hotfixes 10.1.2.3 or perhaps the patch 5029259 is sufficient.

    2-make sure that no NULL values are returned in the report. Use nvl when possible. If there was no problem before making the changes then maybe check new columns formulas would be sufficient. I made this change me to this problem and it seems that this is resolved the problem.

    3 or change to no. REPORTS_ENHANCED_SUBSET in the registry under windows or $ORACLE_HOME/bin/reports.sh if windows under linux.  REPORTS_ENHANCED_SUBSET = YES is necessary if you use TTF which create subsets, however. So maybe it's not an option.

  • Reduced to adjust text - ColdFusion Report Builder

    In ColdFusion Report Builder, is there a way to reduce the text to fit a particular sector? (as opposed to the stretch with overflow)

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    -Chris

    I found another solution that works relatively well.  I have added several fields to a field on the report with each of these areas on the report by using a different font size.  For each of these areas, I applied printing conditions to evaluate the text as an image width (in pixels).  Based on the width of the image, the correct field with the font size is used, and all the text is in a specific area.  The result is the desired effect.

    For example, if the width of the text as an image is 383,73 pixels, the printing condition where the font size is 26 is used.

    Width of the text in Pixels
    Greater than or equal to Less than or equal to Font size
    0.00 374.99 28
    375.00 399.99 26
    400.00 429.99 24
    430.00 469,99 22
    470.00 509.99 20
    510.00 579.99 18

  • Installation of Flash builder 4 has somehow broken my launch of running/debugging/profiling of flex builder 3.

    After installing Flash builder 4 neither to him nor to flex builder 3 has been able to launch flex swf:s. After hitting to run or debug flex gives a prompt saying "Flash Player is not found. Flex builder cannot locate the required version of Flash Player. You need to maybe install Flash Player 9 or reinstall Flex Builder. Do you want to try to run your application with the current version? ». The popup itself happened before the installation of flash builder 4. But normally I would hit just Yes and he would use any flashplayer is default.

    Now, if I click Yes it launch command prompt with a path to the installation folder of flex 3 Builder. When running flash builder 4, same happens except the path is the folder of installation of flash builder 4. Flex then begins waiting for connection of the debugger, and after awhile, he invites a timeout message. The title of command prompts is... \workspace\project\bin-debug\filename.swf.

    When you open the SWFs directly from windows, they open fine.

    I used the uninstaller for flash player software and recovered both fp9 & 10 and reinstalled the. That did not help. When we browser everything works fine, the problem occurs only when you launch standalone player. I tried to check the registry settings if there is something wrong, but all the flashplayers paths seem to be ok.

    Is there another hope to solve this problem than to reinstall flex builder 3 and flash builder 4 from scratch?

    You need content installed FP debugger

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html download from here and install it and you should see the problem go away

    Download the Flash Player 10 ActiveX Windows control content debugger (for IE) (EXE, 2.03 MB)

  • Is there anyway to see the sql code generated in Report Builder?

    I'm debugging a custom report complex which includes many variables bind and lexicals and uses several user_exits for flex collect field values. Is there anyway to see the SQL code that is actually generated in the report - that is, a type of log file?

    Version of the EBS is 11.5.10.2
    Report Builder 6i

    Assuming that all of the lexical settings are in your before and after triggers setting, why not add a message pop up in your setting after trigger to display what is used? Ex:

    If: P_input1 = 'A' then
    : P_where1: =' and x = 2 ";"
    on the other
    : P_where1: =' and x = 3';
    end if;

    -make the last statement in your setting after release:
    SRW.message (1, "SQL: select a, b, c from table1 where b = 5' |: P_where1");

  • CF Report Builder field do not stretch with overflow

    I use CF Report Builder Version 144677 on CF 7.0.2 and have a large SQL Server text field that needs to stretch. If I stretch the height of page layout for the field to a higher value, it works, but then of course I get a bunch of whitespace if the value of the field is smaller. I tried a variety of property settings and moved the field in the report header, the detail and the foot of the sections, but were unsuccessful. Guess "Stretch with overflow" layout of the property set to True should have done, but it's not. I have modified the properties of layout and treatment thus including the definition of type of post float and fixed, but nothing is. I also tried different conversions on the field type itself to see if it didn't matter, once again, no help. As a side note, I am able to do subreports to stretch. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    He also noted, is not much help with the help system. Embedded help does nothing.

    Another developer on my team sent me a report that worked and I noticed that I had put the print order horizontally when I was trying to solve another problem. Changed back to vertical and it works very well. Not sure why it was important, but it works.
