  I used the version (s) EA of SQLDEV4 for the past few months.  Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the new version of SQLDEV 4 production.  Unfortunately, when the installer asked if I would like to "see" my preferences from an earlier version of SQLDEV new SQLDEV4, I chose the wrong version of EA.

  Is there a way to reset the preferences in new SQLDEV4 to get preferences from a previous version of (EA) or am I stuck trying to remember all the preferences, I put the last few months.  I am tired of the reinstall, but preference 'Report' question never asked again.

  Close SQL Developer. Go to your application under user settings directory - this being windows mobile - blow the directory for this install v4.

  Re-run the EXE file, it prompts you to new to the thread.

  Something that you have changed your User Agent or prevents your User Agent to update with the new installation/update of Firefox. I suspect it's Fast Browser Search, which is shown as part of the User Agent. To get rid of Fast Browser Search do the following:

  1. Closing of Firefox (Firefox button > exit OR File > Exit)
  2. Open the Windows XP Control Panel and remove/uninstall "Fast Browser search protection" and "Fast Browser Search" (MyWebTatoo)

  I had the problem solved. Thank you for your help. I had to get help from an engineer, I know. It's fast enough, but it looked like he deleted the old and installed the new and it seemed that perhaps the launch could have the issue?   You need not install the older version to install/activate the upgrade.  All updates are stand-alone versions.  When you go to activate the version upgrade, that he determines that there is no version older than qualification and asking you to identify the old version and provide its serial number as proof that you are eligible to use the upgrade.

  P.S.: the problems you see are likely because jdev version and wls must match. You can just use a new jdev and deploy it in the old wls.
