• Use the table of contents theme in several projects

  I spent the time by changing the color of items for my Table of contents and managed to save it as a custom TOC theme. However, this theme does not appear as a selection in other projects. Because I don't see a way to export the theme to the table of contents How do you use it other projects? I used the theme > save as option, but when I import the theme in a new project the theme of the table of contents does not appeal to.

  When you go to the project - Table of contents - skin - default default theme says. Click on the arrow and you should see your custom theme renamed to TOC inside - it is not alpahbetically.   However, I know that's not possible. The button table of contents is generated only generated at run time and has not yet been exposed to the Skin Editor TOC UI. If like me you want to it see the ability to customize it in a future version of Captivate so please add your voice by presenting this as a feature request.

• How can I display the table of contents for the iPod Touch to 6

  When I opened first of all iPod Touch Users' Guide, I used the table of contents (TOC) to locate and access sections in the manual. But, after looking through the manual for awhile, I tried to return to the table of contents, but it wasn't there! I have tried various things to see if the table of contents are being hidden, or if in some way, it has been deleted. Anyone can shed light on this mysterious event?

• How can I get the action to hide the table of contents to work as part of a conditional Action?

  GOAL: when a user takes the Quiz and fails, I wish they were able to get back underway and reviewing the materials before taking the quiz. As noted in other discussions, I have created actions advanced conditional and standard to achieve this:

  • Quiz results Slide Property executes the standard action "ResultsSlideVisitedAction", affecting a variable (AssessmentVisited) to 1, an indicator that the result slide has been visited.

  

  • If a user clicks the Retake Quiz button, instead of going to a "knowledge management", a quiz question classified early in the race with zero points, it goes to the first real quiz question. The slide to check knowledge runs the 'ExcludeKCAction', a conditional, looking to see if the result slide has been visited, which means that the quiz taken. If so, he jumps at the 1st question of the quiz slide.

  

  • I changed my Quiz message fail to tell the user to click the button Retake (which works fine) or navigate using the table of contents to review topics and then resume the quiz.   Action Rod pointing to that is to assign the value 1 to the system variables cpLockTOC. Its default value is 0. It is not even necessary to have a tip action, at least if you're on a later version of Captivate because the system variable is not in the drop-down list of the accordion to Actions in the slide properties. A simple action on enter to the first question slide will do. Don't forget to switch it to 0 when you enter backstage after the quiz to allow access again. And the linear?

• Find/change the question numbers and create the Table of contents

  Hello! I need help to find all my item numbers and apply a paragraph style so I can use them to create a Table of contents page.

  The sample numbers

  #12345

  #12345-5

  #12345-20

  #12345-ABC

  #12345/N

  I tried to enter #^? ^ ? ^ ? ^ ? ^ ? in the search/replace and but it is exactly 5 characters after the sign #. I wonder if you can find all characters starting by # and up until the last characters.

  Once I found all item numbers, how can I apply the paragraph style to have these characters after the sign #? Because I only want to show item numbers without the # sign on the Table of contents/Index page.

  In addition, I have InDesign CS2, which have no function GREP maybe I can do this without the GREP?

  Are your numbers by themselves in a separate paragraph? OTHERWISE you can not USE the table of contents feature to list all the numbers.

  If are, then just look at # in find/replace, then set it to change formatting a new paragraph style (you must create this style in CS2) that you want to include in the table of contents, then as you say, you can use find/replace once more on the history of the TOC to remove the # of all numbers.

  I have 7 Captivate and would like to know if it is possible to filter some slides of OCD.

  The point here is that they may not be static, but change the slides to show transparently based on the choice of the user.

  In my view, that's not possible with only using Captivate and research to achieve anyway. (for example. Load the captivate through Flash and control the captivate Flash with AS3 file).

  You have no control of this type on the default TOC THAT included with Captivate. You can have this control, if you create a custom table of contents and use advanced/variables actions. Advanced actions are converted on the duration of AS3 (for SWF) or JS (for HTML5). Since you talk about Flash, I assume you want SWF-output. I know a lot about system variables supplied, there may be some hidden variables that you can solve with AS3 or (better IMO) with JS, but only system variables for the table of contents is to lock or hide/show it (if in overlay).

  Captivate 7.0.1 contains a rocking action that allows you to enable a Boolean variable (for example the system variable that displays or hides the table of contents), and shutdown.  Use this action.

  No, I'm sorry, you won't be able to increase the size of this table of contents video.

  You could insert the video on each slide or, if you do not use Captivate 5, insert it on a master slide that you apply to all slides?

  Hello!

  Captivate, in fact the finding of OCD to retrieve and search for the text content of slide and slide labels usage.

  What you can do to get your full script to work.

  (1) add a text caption slide.

  (2) paste is your complete script. (From slide notes)

  3) go to properties of legend text-[disable] option which does not show in the output.

  In this way, you would have all your content on the slide to search for in the table of contents, but still not visbile to users, they would continue to see the short balls.

  I am writing a scientific assignment and I have some titles that contain italic characters such as: Importance of Bacillus cereus

  When I create a table of contents, these italics seem to disappear and I can't do these italics without making the entire table italic material - that is not what I want.

  I also have the same problem with the degrees symbol which is great script in my titles, but appears as '0' in the table of contents.

  Can anyone help please?

  When you build a Table of contents, Pages v5.6.2 uses a brush regular Helvetica on all text in the generated TOC. He made his farewell to all the attributes of fonts can set up for your titles and headings. We can not selectively reapply text attributes to a part of a table of contents entry.

• How to choose half of a title to appear as title 1 in the Table of contents?

  I am creating a document containing several job descriptions and want to have a hyperlink in a Table of contents description of each individual work. The way securities are in the format looks like this: "profile Description: President. The only part of the title I want to appear in the Table of contents is '' President. '' How can I select the part of the title to post a link in the table of contents? I've highlighted the portion of the line I want to appear as the title 1 but Word (2010) insists on the selection of the entire line and not just the part that I chose to be Heading 1. I know that I could drop the word 'Président' to another line, but it's not the look I want. I think I should perhaps use a bookmark or do something with the field but am way over my head on this one. I only know some of the basics and the terms bookmark and the field are new for me and quite mysterious. Any help would be appreciated, but I am a novice and must be crossed it work with no baby.

  Ok. I assume that you do this in Word?
  If so, then the word is part of office (for which there are specific forums on this site) and no windows.
  Click on the Forums link at the top of this window, choose the desktop, and then select the version of Office you are using and choose the word.
