v_workspace model of 2012R2 Windows

I have Windows 2012R2 with hyper-v installed.

I installed the v_workspace cloud for hyper-v, following the video mode.

I am trying to create a model of Windows 2012R2 to use as the master of VDI. Can someone point me to an article or video. I watched the videos that are available under v_workspace, but refer to a video earlier than I can not find.

Have no clear instruction?

Thanks in advance

Here are a few notes step by step I took to create a virtual computer model. Step A is not necessary that the Working Group, but it is a best practice.

I suggest creating a very basic model and a group of this basic model. Once you feel comfortable that your group is working properly, try to add more features and software and replenishment of the group using the model updated.

  1. Create Desktop VDI group
  1. Create the master model * snapshots are not supported for model VM *.
  1. Create the virtual computer on Hyper-V server and install desired OS
  1. Create hard disk virtual Via Powershell - news-VHD-path "D:\Hyper-V\Virtual hard Disks\TemplateVM.vhdx" - dynamic - SizeBytes - LogicalSectorSizeBytes 512 127 GB PhysicalSectorSizeBytes - 4096 - BlockSizeBytes 2 MB
  2. Convert VHD via Powershell - convert-VHD-path "D:\Hyper-V\Virtual hard Disks\TemplateVM.vhdx"-DestinationPath ' D:\Hyper-V\Virtual hard Disks\TemplateVM - 1.vhdx'-BlockSizeBytes 2 MB
  1. You'll need access to Hyper-V settings and update the VM disk to the new that you just created.
  • Add necessary Applications
  • Add model VM to the domain
  • Leave card DHCP network
  • Turn off RDP NLA
  • Copy the model tools and PNtools files to the virtual machine of model
  1. Install PNtools
  2. Run as Administrator "InstantProvisioning64".
  3. Run Office Assistant
  • ipconfig/release
  • Turn off the virtual machine template

    Hello. I'm looking for a Driver for 7 (64) of Qualcomm Atheros model QCWB335 for Windows. (802.11 b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth (r) [1 x])

I tried HP support system discovery and recommended pilot report, he reads material and product incorrect.

I tried this solution forward to backwards compatibility, but it did not work. http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/wireless-Internet-home-networking/driver-for-Qualcomm-Atheros-model-QCW...

    My laptop is a HP Pavilion 17 t (f000?)  P/N: J5R51AV

I updated the BIOS to F.34

    Windows 7 Ultimate (64)

Sp67265, sp68433, sp67625 drivers installed and cannot install the sp66402.

Œuvres Ethernet, WLAN and Bluetooth connection are not.

The WLAN and bluetooth worked well with Linux Ubuntu 14.04

    History of the laptop

5 February 2015 ordered from the factory:

    HP Pavilion 17 Windows 7 Professional P/N: J8H36AV t with 802.11 b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth (r) [1 x]

    Received:

    HP Pavilion 17 Windows 7 Professional P/N: J5R51AV t with 802.11 b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth (r) [1 x]

Out of the box, worked very well. I tried to install Ubuntu as a dualboot and discovered, I would need to tweak the installation of Ubuntu to work with 4 partitions that HP had already put in place on the hard drive. Instead, I have supported Windows with Windows backup, created a recovery disk bootable on USB using the HP Recovery Wizard. The Recovery Wizard HP said that the recovery USB disk has been a success.

I reformatted the hard drive the Sina Active @ killdisk and installed Linux Ubuntu 14.04 successfully. All on the cell worked, including WIFI and Bluetooth. Backup Ubuntu using Ubuntu backup and also created a clone of the hardrive using Clonezilla live 2.3.2.

Attempted to boot from HP Recovery disk on USB and it failed. Tried again, failed. Contacted HP, they have graciously sent free recovery disks. Only, they sent the recovery disc for Windows 8.1, so I contacted HP and they sent free the recovery disc for Windows 7.

Recovery disks would work almost throughout the installation of Windows, which gives 3 errors and allowing a Setup log can be fully copied. The errors were "chkErrBB.CMD detects an error during PININST_BBV.", "check c:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootWarn.log." and "check c:\system.sav\logs\BurnBootMerg.log." Analysis the hardrive shows 4 partitions factory HP installs have been installed, the Windows shell folders folders.

HP support had me has contacted and suggested I send the laptop and pay to install restore it, and instead I bought Windows 7 Ultimate for a clean install.

Using the HP driver support tools, it indicates the portable bad and suggests drivers for WLAN radio that I have not installed on the motherboard.

I've updated the BIOS F.34 and which did not help.

I don't know how to extract the driver from the HP driver and utilities recovery disk HP sent me, it is in a file format that I don't know how to handle.

I can connect to the internet via the ethernet cable, but not the WLAN.

  • Installing the drivers on hp 4441 s (base model) works on windows 7; 32 bit

I have HP probook 4441 s (base model). I am facing problem in the installation of the base system, bluetooth, USB controller driver, and I also see an unknown device. PL help solve this problem. I am not able to decide which driver will work. Thank you

What event has occurred which has caused this problem?

The laptop was delivered in a working state.

The base system driver is likely to be the JMicron card reader driver.

All of your specifications required of the drivers for Windows 7 (32 bit) are found here.

You will have to identify each of the devices by using Device Manager. For each device that is not a driver, right-click on the device in Device Manager and select properties and in the Properties window, select the Details tab, as shown in the following image.

For Bluetooth, the driver is in the network section.

  • Can't uninstall DisplayLink Core Software on a laptop Sony Vaio (VGN-NR110E model) for a Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 7.

Hi, I wonder if there is someone who can help me on this issue because it prevents me to install Windows 7 on my laptop.  I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR110E model, and when I try to install Win7 it tells me that I must first uninstall DisplayLink Core Software.  I went to my control panel to uninstall the program, and it doesn't let me, saying another program he has in use.  On this forum, someone suggested that I'm trying to boot my laptop in safe mode, and it can allows me to remove the program there.  My concern with this would be if I remove this program in Mode safe, how could make sure I'd be able to re - install DisplayLink Core Software should anything go wrong when I try to install Win7?

The other question I have is there are two other programs that appear to be linked to DisplayLink Core Software.  They are called SONY VGP-UPR1 and there is another utility called program SONY VGP-UPR1 (display Adapater). If I deleted those first, it seems that it can release DisplayLink Core software should be deleted.  In this case someone has already tried that and had success?

Could someone install Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR110E?

    Hi RC2076,

Welcome to Windows 7 answers Forum!

From what I can see SONY VGP-UPR1is a USB docking station for VAIO, try to temporarily disable by right clicking on the program. You can go ahead and uninstall the software basis of DisplayLink, as long as you have the CD for this software.

Once you are done uninstalling, you can install Windows 7 and later you install DisplayLink Core Software and select then the other two programs that are linked with the above mentioned software.

You can also run the Upgrade Advisor and check it out. Here is the link to download the Upgrade Advisor.

  • Create a virtual computer model using the Windows Client (c#) function?

The windows-based client can create VM templates?  I created a VM Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard and I would use it as a model for all the virtual machines that follow.  However, I have not yet created the vCenter Server VM but want to use the W2012R2 virtual machine as its base.  I don't see how with the customer I have.  Can if not a model, I simply duplicate the VM?  I don't want to use this machine virtual first for vCenter Server and then create a new one from scratch for use as a model.

To create templates and clone virtual machines, you will need vcenter server in place, but you can use alternative means to clone this virtual machine to use as a basis for vCenter, take a look at this blog post: cloning a virtual machine without vCenter in ESXi free edition 5.1 | Curiosity killed the cat

  • Model number of Windows Server 2012

    Hi all

So ive downloaded the RTM Server 2012 and built a virtual machine in our environment ESX 5.0 without problem, turned the virtual machine in a model then deployed a machine from this model, but at the start of this new machine, it just sits at the Windows start screen (the part where the windows logo is displayed after the BIOS) and goes no further.  Until this ive left 20 minutes without movement, the small small circle with points going below the logo of windows so its continue to operate in someway and its still using 100% CPU but just not progress.

Anyone else had any question as a 2012 model?

    Any suggestions for fixing?

    Ta

    Stew

Looks like the same problem, I had when I first installed a VM with 2012 GTR, which has been set using EFI instead of the regular BIOS (requires reinstall it). Control http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2021887 and perhaps http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2006859 too while you're there.

I have not tried to deploy as a model still well.

Anyway, with vSphere 5.1 released tomorrow-ish (and perhaps 5.0 U2?), there might be a fix or two around a few bugs when running in 2012.

5.0 U1 currently supports 2012/W8 with Support considerations:Tech Preview only.

  • Models of VM, Windows and related Clones updates

In our society, we have a set of VM templates for a variety of different versions of Windows, we need to test our software. Our test workflow goes like this:

1 Tester creates a new, empty configuration

2 Tester adds new clone linked VMs for each version of Windows they need to test against, using our models.

    3. tests coming, development challenges coming, more tests, etc.

    4. when the test is finished, VMs will be cancelled but must be kept available for a period of time (several weeks or several months for example)

Periodically, we run Windows updates on the models to keep them informed. In my view, that it is cancelling publication of the model, deploying, running updates, Undeploying and then publish it again.

But this raises a few questions:

We expect problems if not to publish models, run Windows update and then republish these models when there is, linked clone VMs based on them? Through this repeatedly over time will start to degrade the performance of the models (due to new links in chains)? How often, if ever, should we be consolidate models (we prefer to minimize this for reasons of space)?

In fact, the picture is slightly more complicated, because the models VM themselves are linked clones:

Windows-> add Visual Studio 6-> add to Visual Studio 2005-> add to Visual Studio 2008-> add to Visual Studio 2010

Most of our test VMs are linked clones since the last link in the chain above: windows with a variety of pre-installed Visual Studio versions.

I would be grateful of any advice on 1) how we should address updates of Windows running on the models and the 2) when, if ever, we must consolidate the models.

    Thank you

    Adam

Periodically, we run Windows updates on the models to keep them informed. In my view, that it is cancelling publication of the model, deploying, running updates, Undeploying and then publish it again.

Could they remove just the configurations if they're going to be just "sitting there"?  If you want to keep them fresh and current (compared to the model itself), then they should really just remove the configuration and create a new one if necessary.

I expect questions if you just don't publish/deploy/update / publish.  When "unpublish you" a new link in the chain is done, so any existing VMs based on the previous instance of the virtual machine will continue to exist without error.  All the updates that are placed in a new location, and new virtual machines will be based out of this instance, once you have published it.

Storage performance can degrade over time, but it really depends on the profile of IO of the virtual machines themselves and the length of the string of this virtual machine.  If the update cycle occurs every month, then perhaps consolidate records each h1/h2.  If you're updating models every week, then maybe do it once per quarter.  It is just the management fees.  The technical limit is 30 links in the chain, but try to keep it under 15 or more.

    (1) how we tackle running Windows updates on the models and 2) while, if ever, we must consolidate the models.

I think that my comments above should help you out.

    Best regards

Open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open display devices - note equipment listed here i.e. ATI, NVidia or Intel.

Then connect your laptop via HDMI to your TV.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices.  Once (just to emphasize the entrance), the HDMI output which has the same name as your graphics card, and then click the set as default, see if you now audio left click.

  • Replacing the hard drive HP G62-450SA model / recovery. Windows 7

    Hello

Last week my laptop started running very slowly, and after a few tests, it seems that the hard drive is on its way.

I phoned to HP supports, however is out of warranty I wasn't able to get a real support, but advised him to watch the online support pages to back up my files, create a file recovery on a usb device and then it would be as simple as taking on the old hard drive, put in the new, and following the instructions to recover my system and files.

So after these tips, I've created:

-A recovery image USB on a Virgin USB key, using the Recovery Manager

-A backup on an external hard drive using the backup and restore

-An image of the system by using the backup and restore.

Then I replaced the hard drive.

When I turned on the laptop all I get is a black screen that says "no boot device - insert the diskette and press any key".

I have not all discs. I thought that was the point of creating the recovery image on the USB key? I insert the USB key, and it is not recognized.

If at this point, I'm stuck. I'm not all boards because HP say they have to charge me.

Please can anyone here tell me what to do next? What I need to buy recovery discs or is there a way I can install the new hard drive by using the above files?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    You are welcome

Another option, you can try would be to restore the system image you created - you can do the following.

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn options) to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

When creating, type following the ESC key as soon as you start the launch of the laptop Boot Menu, and then insert the rescue CD.  Select boot options (usually f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

Connect the drive that contains the system image you have created and then follow method 3 below to reload the image on the new HARD drive.
