  It can be larger than 32 GB, but it is not the boot drive and its only real function is as a cache of acceleration for the main mechanical hard drive, for which really impossible to use something bigger.

  Yes assuming that the SSD is large enough to hold all the data that was on the old disk, you can 'clone with resizing' from the old drive to the new. I use Acronis to make, and they offer a fully functional 30 day trial that would work to clone a drive. You will need an adapter usb to SATA to hang the new disk on the computer and access to the cloning procedure. On an SSD, but you are probably going to be cramped for space and you can just do the recovery with just the c: disc / > image drive and install the OS on the SSD using these discs and forget not to have a recovery on the SSD partition.   mSata differs from SATA, and there SSD that are msata and SATA SSD. You will need to decide how you want yourself.   In my view, that this adapter to 'Y' should do the trick.  It will turn a power supply in half, allowing you to add an additional drive.  There are many different brands.  It is an example.  StarTech is a very good brand, however.  Do not try to improve even more because the power supply unit (PSU) is only to 220W.

  Vigoss, welcome to the forum.

  You will need to open the case to see if there is a SATA power cable and SATA data cable.  Otherwise, you can buy an adapter 'Y' to add an extra of each.  You will need an adapter to allow the SSD to fit into a 3.5 Bay "2.5".  Some of the readers have included.  If this isn't the case, you can order one at the same time you order the SSD.

  The best way to transfer the contents of your HARD drive in the SSD uses the cloning software.  Most manufacturer include it with their readers.  When I added my SSD (Samsung EVO 840 - 500 GB SSD) at my office, I left the HARD drive in place and connected the SSD to another SATA port on the motherboard.  You install the hard drive cloning software and open it.  It will ask you to select the drive you want to use as the target.  That would be your SSD.  When the data has been transferred, you can disconnect the HARD drive and the start-up of the SSD.  Once it starts, you can close it and move the SSD to the Bay you want to use.  The HARD disk can be formatted and used as a storage device.
