  I installed the suitable driver for the touchpad on my laptop Elantech (from the Acer site), but when I go in the tab "MOMENTUM" in the control panel of the mouse, the 'Options' tab is grey and unable to be selected.

  I would really like to be able to put things such as sensitivity, "tap" on the pad, etc., because when I type it, if my thumb keys are APPROACHING the touchpad (they have even touch her!), the cursor jumps whenever the pointer is over the screen.  I saw this problem of sensitivity on other laptops, but I'm at a loss as to how to deal here with the options disabled.

  The only thing I can reasonably see here is to use a USB mouse and disable the touchpad, but I wish I could use my touchpad, if I so wish.

  If this option is not available, then I think that's not an ELANTECH touchpad. I show that this product had the ability to ship with three different keys. I recommend trying one of the other listed factors. Watch ELANTECH, ALPS and Synaptics driver download page.

  Hi, I have flashed accidentally BIOS version 1.17 on my Aspire E1 - 731 running win 8.1). Now it won't boot from the HARD drive. I am able to boot with win 8 from a USB (Win to Go) and tried to flshh back to version 2.28 BIOS but the program does not Flash it. I said that I must uograde to a similar version (1.x).

  Currently, he does not drive HARD and when I boot with the USB with Win 8, WIFI doesn't work.

  Try to use the fn/f3 as the computer starts when you first see the Windows logo on the screen.

  If the model of your laptop Acer Aspire V3-771/V3-731, there is a shortcut on your keyboard: Fn + F7. It allows to switch between enable and disable the touchpad.

• Acer Aspire E1-731 drivers

  I have red 10 Windows and returned to Win 7. This was based on several legacy programs I need to run and win 10 did not.

  So I downloaded the drivers from the Acer site and I'm stumped. I can not get the LAN driver or any work or installed driver? What am I am I missing here, I get all sorts of messages saying not compitable and so on... Any soultions?

  The best news! Well for this laptop which is...

  I spent the day looking for drivers and located all drivers I need. Has taken some time and some trial and error and ended them. Those available on the Acer download section all failed for my model.

  I had to change the BIOS to Legacy to prevent the Windows 7 hang during installation. I bought a copy of Win 7 and finally had the chance to use it.

  The BIOS has been locked - should understand this and managed to unlock and turn off the TMP. Then I was good to go.

  Rinse the operating system (goodbye to Windows 10 / / I spent the weekend with Win 10 for the 1st time and I doubt I'll ever go back) and managed to make the appearance and the way that I need for my development environment. Work more QUICKLY and efficiently.

  I bought 4 of these laptops and will now serve Win 10 and install a copy of Windows 7. Win 7 what now for a great price...

  I have read some of the messages in the form and figured out how to locate all the drivers and did!

  This one is SOLVED! If you are looking to switch back to WIn 7 - it is not difficult!

  Plug reading, I know there are two DIMM slots.  Without opening the box (yet), I would like to know if my laptop has:

  (1) a plugged 4 GB chip 1 slot leaving 1 free slot for expansion.

  (2) two 2 GB chips, each connected to a slot machine.

  I want to move to 8 GB of RAM... but need to know if I should buy a 4GB chip to plug into an empty slot or two 4GB chips to 'replace' the existing 2 GB chips.

  Thanks for the responses... but I made my way... because the laptop crashed under warranty... I took it to where I bought it; only to be informed within 3 weeks... (Acer products are so rude?) While it was cheaper to clean HD 100% clean, knock out the boot sectors (copies saved before, even if it is on the motherboard) and reinstall windows 10 without attachments of ACER and all other patter and the absurd cortana, the Add-ons that don't work on multilingual machines. It took a full day, but the result is back to basics, a much faster machine; and child's play to use. I can recommend to other budget users, if known best from the sytem complex, to remove all that start programs are not necessary, but beware the Windows 10 programmers have deceived by the bits from other programs such as office for the program Win 10-cleaning function.

  Be sure to powerful how forage with Win 10... It's pretty things undebuggable.

  Hi, first off I hope you guys can help with this probblem and sorry for the long post.

  So that's 3 days ago I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 for my fathers laptop, (Note everythign was working fine b4 that) and after I installed, automatic updates checked I couldn't connect to the internet or wireless internet.

  I installed some drivers of the donkey of portable Cd that it follows:

  Aetheros Lan AR8151L

  Hai Bluettoth_Combo_3rd Wifi 2 x 2 AGN + Bt$.0 Broadcom 43228 + 20702

  I tried to install Realtek Lan drivers it doesn't let me, said something that is not compatible with this os.

  OK, so now are the problems I've tried to solve and everything.

  Run Services and enable WLAN AutoConfig-set to automatic. Done, nothing happened.

  Run Config.msc and sfc / scannow, let it scan at 100%, no error or anything.

  Start-Search Wireless - Manage Wireless networks (says: Wireless is not currently active)

  then I'll add manually connect to a wireless network (says: Windows cannot detect all wireless network interfaces)

  So I'm going to Device Manager - The Bluettoth Radios has one! in a yellow triangle on generic Bluettoth adapter

  -Other devices-Network Controller has even! in the yellow Triangle

  -i connected to my desktop PC internet router cable and connected it to the laptop, I press the update on these 2 options, and it does not update or I would update.

  I went to the control panel of configuration-network and Internet-network connections-change adapter definition thers only 2 options:

  -Local Area Connection (Broadcom virtual wireless adapter)

  -Connection to the LAN 2 (Aetheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet (NDIS 6.20) controller)

  There is no wireless network with wireless icons or anything.

  When I go to the game new connection or network, it gives me 2 options:

  -When I go to connect to the internet, gives me only 1. Broadband or 2. Dialup-

  -When I go to put in place a network: it is said could take 90 seconds to scan, but she never finds anything and that my router is detectable

  I think you should try to install it manually from the Device Manager, double-click Bluetooth, updating the drivers, "Browse my computer...". "and look for the correct path.
