  I suggest you read THIS. Obviously, the person who sent you is somewhat con-"rocket" d about the device. I had one for a year, so I remember when the update happened very clearly. The truth is, the firmware.26 adds the "rocket", and then, and then the database will support 8000 songs, assuming that the total size of these songs does not exceed the amount of available memory.

• Space required on the server vCenter for statistical level increased

  I'm in vCenter Server and this is the SQL database on separate virtual machines.  I have size my SQL database for level 2 of the statistics.  What is the size of the disk hard virtual on my server vCenter Server must support statistics level 2 to 3000 VMs and 150 physical servers?  I know that the main impact of the size of the disk is SQL Server according to the requirements not vCenter to because the VCDB database is stored on my SQL Server in this case.  However, if a major impact is to increase your level of 1 to 2 on virtual disks of vCenter Server statistics? (I have already addressed vCPU and needs of vRAM and prepared for this, I just need to look at the disk space now)

  You're right, the size of the database will be the primary component that is affected when you increase the level of statistics. I don't see any impact on the vCenter Server disks.

• Growth of database problem

  We have a problem with HFM by which the database increases each month.  We notice that
  most of the scenarios where we might have to do a force to translate or to consolidate
  with data and sometimes a consolidate all this.  I know that consolidate it all the
  is not good, but it is sometimes necessary for some scenarios.  I expect to
  growth of this with things based on dormant entities,
  etc, but not insofar as I see in the DB.  Doing some more
  investigation, it seems that we have a significant amount of zeros in these tables
  where we see growth.  For example, our scenario scheduled for 2014 has 7.4
  millions of documents of which 5.5 million are zeros (tran type 32) hard.  I have
  don't know much about these hard or derivative zeros, beyond because they do
  no result I think that actually enter zeros.  If I do an extract from the data
  of the whole of the year and the scenario, I get a few zeros but not anywhere nearby
  from what I can see in the database.  No one knows what might happen?  Help or direction would be so appreciated. Thank you.

  Please check if you have accounts for the calculation of the zeros.

  You can limit the flight of zeros in your application by using the HFM rules file.

  You can confirm the DSN that is in use by checking the registry: HKLM\Software\VMware\VMware, Inc. \VMware Update Manager\DB: login, the DSN name and customer type are all listed. Assuming that you used a separate vCenter DSN, this should help you check.

  If you check the DSN, you can go: HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC. INI\ <here the name of your DSN >. The string value "Database" is the name of the SQL database that is the target of the DSN.

  I want to introduce in my default application Lookout (now 6.1), the ability to periodically make a backup of the historical database to another on the same PC, that way I can fix the life expectancy of default database for a few days instead of 1 year. This because I have a huge amount of data record (up to 1000 alarms conditions and 100 track of process variables) to the historical database, and I don't want the size of the database increases too.

  To do this, I did an application test to test the CItadelControl object. Everything works very well for the trail, but not for alarm.

  This is a limitation of the CitadelControl object? If so, there is another way to make a backup of the alarms?

  This is a limitation for the CitadelControl object.

  How to check alarms is to use the MAX (measure automation project). Right-click on the database, and then select Archive. He archived data and alarms.

  I have a problem when the database increases in size. Indeed, when the number of records reached 3 million, the program memory is 1.7 GB. So, it stops on an Out of Memory error.

  The program memory increases when I use the DBActivateMap function, before adding the records.

  For now, I use the following method to add records:

• Outlook Express - repair/restoration of corrupted DBX files

  I recently lost a number of local folders in my Outlook Express (OE) I found in the store DBX. However OE does not read/open them very probably because they are corrupt. It is apparently a common problem.

  I searched and found a few tools that claim to repair/recover corrupted DBX and I tried three demo versions. None of them were able to repair corrupt DBX files. One of the tools has been honest enough to admit that some files may be irremediably, and he provided a full scan of the drive that found a number of lost/deleted messages, some of which were originally in the records the of OE that I had lost. Although no no trouble so far, no cost using the versions demo.

  A number of experts suggested a tool called DBXPRESS claiming to recover the corrupted DBX files. Unfortunately, no demo version is available as proof of effectiveness before buy you.

  Are repairable corrupted DBX files, as claimed by the softwar ecompanies and if so, how, and with what software?
  As it is a common and potentially disastrous problem, not Microsoft should be persuaded to provide a radical solution to avoid a manual tedious backup process.

  Outlook Express is an e-mail and news client supplied with Internet Explorer. Outlook Express is a different application from MS Outlook. The two programs do not share a common code base, but share a common architectural philosophy.   The executable file of Outlook Express, msimn.exe, is a remnant of the era Internet Mail and News. Internet Mail and News managed only plain text and rich text email ( RTF), lack of HTML e-mail message.

  Outlook Express has been subject to a number of problems which can corrupt its files database, especially when the database increases volume due to the increase in number of stored emails and during compaction of the database.

  The dbx file Corruption can occur due to these reasons:

  1 MSIMN has caused an IPF in module Msoe.dll.

  2 MSIMN caused a page fault in module Msoe.dll at address.

  3 outlook Express could not be started. It cannot be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you're not out of memory.

  4 outlook Express could not be started because Msoe.dll could not be initialized. Outlook Express is not installed properly.

  Outlook Express stores e-mail messages in the databases that have a .dbx file extension. Each folder in Outlook Express (same subfolders) has a database that are associated with; so if you have 20 folders you have twenty databases. The databases have the same name files so the Inbox folder has a database called Inbox.dbx.

  In these cases over corruption is probably in the file "Folders.dbx". It's the main index more of the entirety of the record Store and without it, Outlook Express is unable to do anything, in this case, the only solution is to delete the file corrupted in the storage folder. This will allow Outlook Express to start and to build a new "Folders.dbx" by re-indexing of all the DBX files it finds in the storage folder.

• NT4 Guest: IDE vs SCSI

  Everything I read says that SCSI should perform better, but my points of reference by using SQLIO from microsoft utility show otherwise.

  I see much better performance by using the IDE.

  For a database server, I wonder if SCSI would be better to avoid bottlenecks when the number of concurrent users in database increases.

  Interesting enough, I think the question was poor comparative analysis of the tool I was using.

  I did some other comparative analysis:

  • Duplicate a large file on the same drive
  • Use of mark CrystalDisk

  Deduplication test files, which is also well read and write in the same drive at the same time, showed a substantial improvement in speed with BusLogic SCSI.

  Crystal disk mark is also considerable performance gains showed with SCSI.

  

  BTW, for anyone interested, at first, I struggled with the controller with a VMDK type conversion, but it's actually very simple.

  You have no need to edit the file hard as suggested by the VMware KB (this ends up generally by in an unusable VMDK).

  Use you qemu-img.

  Example: IDE to BusLogic SCSI

  QEMU-img convert input.vmdk - O o vmdk adapter_type output.vmdk = buslogic

  Then remove the IDE drive and add a SCSI drive for the converted file in the settings of your virtual machine.

  So, I'm working on a system of vSphere 5.5 and I noticed twice a minute, there is a cycle of events to connect/disconnect and it blows upward from my VCDB database. Looking at the list of events in the VC client just shows the following entries for the same user

  and

  Is there a way I can understand what it is and stop it? I know that I can always just disable the account in AD or remove login rights in the vCenter and see what breaks but if it is somehow a critical process I don't want to know the hard way

  We are facing a problem in our database for 3-4 days.

  The objects remaining in the database increases day after day. As our ts cancel autoextend enabled, it increases the storage space.

  Currently the following is the scenario.

  Thus, the remaining data 61GB while active is only 478 MB and expired is 3.3 GB.

  1. How can I check the object or sql query or a program that contains the data to cancel "RUN" so. How can I find the names of these objects?

  2. If I turned off autoextend undo ts if this solves the problem and take the new space to cancel from space to cancel remaining?

  1. the UNEXPIRED is not bound to a query, but the UNDO for UNDO Tablespace retention period. And the Undo retention is a value set automatically when the parameter UNDO_RETENTION is minium.

  The Oracle Documentation says:

  For an undo tablespace with the AUTOEXTEND option is enabled, the database tries to honor the specified minimum retention period by UNDO_RETENTION . When space is low, instead of crushing the cancellation information remaining, the self-aggrandizing tablespace' extends. If the MAXSIZE clause is specified for an auto-croissant undo tablespace when the maximum size is reached, the database can begin to replace the cancellation information remaining.

  2. Yes this will fix the issue that now the calcution for UNDO retention is different.
