  In accordance with article 2.1 "License grant" in VMware VMware vCenter Server has a "Bill-country restriction.

  So, you may need to ask permission to transfer the license of VMware.

  I developed a labview for data acquisition goal program.  I need to run a part of my program in a computer and some said in another separate computer. for data transfer between these two computers, I decided to use the Protocol of data taking. a computer, collect data and send data to the second computer and second computer will control the setting of data acquisition in the first computer. now I have developed the program but it does not work. I wonder if that is enough to link these two PC by a network cable or something needs to be done. of course, I have some problems with the source definition in the Protocol of data taking. need two labview program in two separate computers.

  transfer of data from socket, simply connect two computers with a LAN cable, as I did. The problem is the URL parameter. I got the error as follows:

  ==> in main and remote program, the URL must be the same and the computer name that data socket server is running must be incloded in the two URLS. (my mistake was that I had used two different URLS in the main program and remote). either way, I realized that this isn't neceessary to Server execution data socket in the two computer.but that that send data.

  Just make sure that the license is no longer in use on the old computer. Go to install on the new computer and reactivate it by phone:

  I have a situation where I need to set up the transfer between two VPN Tunnels completed in the same box ASA. A VPN Tunnel will incoming traffic and that traffic should be sent to the bottom of the other VPN Tunnel to the ASA. The two VPN Tunnels are from the Internet and speak with the same IP address of the ASA peers.

  Believed that, in this case your config is good, and you can avoid using routes on your asa since it must route based on its default gateway, make sure you have good sheep in place rules and the inter-to interface same-security-interface allowed return you will need.

• vCenter Licensing Question

  We are currently conducting environment vSphere with vCenter Server 5 5 (using the VCSA).  My vSphere, ESXi licensing have the right to upgrade to vSphere 6, but is not my vCenter license.  After further review, we have seen that the SnS support contact us on our vCenter license had expired in January 2015, so we went ahead and got that renewed back support.  My question is, now that we have renewed the support we may update this license vCenter vCenter license 5 6 or we will have to buy a new license of vCenter 6 new?  I checked my VMware Licensing Portal and this shows that we have supported on vCenter 2018 license, but I don't see any option upgrade to this topic.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  as far as I know all the licenses that are (or were taken over at the time a new version was released) by an active subscription can be upgraded. When you select "Update license keys" in the drop down menu "I want", you should be able to select and upgrade your vCenter Server license.

  I'm n process of installing a new server vCenter and DB. Currently I have a vCenter 5.0 with Sql Express. I want to install new 5.5 vCenter as there is a problem with the Windows operating system. Can anyone provide steps on the migration of the current 5.0 vCenter vCenter license to new vCenter 5.5. And not taking a full backup of the current comics and migration to the new full DB will give me same old vCenter inventory?

  You must first migrate the database to db express to Full SQL 2008 DB. The steps are lower in the article.

  VMware KB: Migrating the database from the SQL Express vCenter server to full SQL Server

  -Deploy the new operating system and give the same IP address and host name you use for the old operating system.

  -Take the backup of the more secure base for located.

  -Take SSL certificate to the top of the old C:\ProgramData\VMware\VirtualCenter Server\SSL Server

  -Create the system DSN proper connections on the new host to vCenter server. For more information, see displaying and editing of the database server to vCenter Server installation fails with ODBC and DSN errors (1003928).

  -If the new VirtualCenter server using the same hostname and IP address, SSL certificates can be copied to the new server to eliminate the need to reconnect the ESX and ESXi hosts.

  -To copy the VirtualCenter Server SSL certificates:

  1. Create this folder structure on the new server:
  2. C:\ProgramData\VMware\VirtualCenter Server\SSL

  -To copy the VirtualCenter Server SSL certificates:

  -Copy these files from the server, VirtualCenter of origin to the new server, while preserving the folder structure:
