  Caused by: com.sleepycat.je.EnvironmentLockedException: (I 4.0.103) C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\apex\bdb environment can be locked to a single Editor access. ENV_LOCKED: The je.lck file could not be locked. Environment is not valid and must be closed.

  It seems that you have not pinned your apex - config.xml in one directory other than the default, which is temporary.
  See Appendix A on the configuration file-> locate the configuration file.

  Once you have edited and saved the file web.xml, as referred to in the documentation above, perform the following steps
  a. stop the field GF
  b. search for files apex - conf.xml under your tree from folder c:\Documents and setting\ and remove all instances of this file
  c. start your GF for Apex doman
  d. Got apex/listenerConfigure and reconfigure your listener.

  I assume you have copied the apex/pictures on file i/docroot/domain folder as described in the document above already (section copy Oracle Application Express of Images). If this isn't the case, do so before step c above.

  I installed ESXi 3.5 with success to an old IBM eServer in my lab.  I used VMware-VMvisor-InstallerCD - 3.5.0_Update_4 - 153875.i386.iso.

  I was also able correctly to install "The VMware Infrastructure Client" on another system and use it to create a virtual of Windows 2008 machine.

  1. I would like to have the same capacity on the server that I now remote, but I don't know which product should be added and how you actually add it produces.

  2. in addition, I don't know if I even installed the 'good' version of the server. I hope that I have installed a version that I can continue to be used for an unlimited number of times. If I didn't, then I would like to know what version of VMware for my server, I should install so I can continue to learn and test with falling on "your evaluation has expired."  It took a while to get this set up and I don't want to keep doing this over and over again.

  3. is there any place on the VMware site which has represented product relationships? Who has drawn different platforms?

  I do not know if I use the 'correct' and don't know where to go to fix this. I think it's something that VMware do as simply as possible for beginners like me.

  vSphere is really a marketing term used in references to the VMware virtualization platform the datacenter version - it refers to the suite of vMware products has just published including ESX 4.0, ESXi 4.0 and vCenter 4.0 and other parts.  The previous version had a similar title Virtual Infrastructure 3 or VI-3 referring to the software suite consisting of ESX 3.x, ESXi 3.x, Virtual Center 2.x and other parts. VI - 3 and vSphere have their respective customers - the vSphere client can be used to manage vSphere components while the client VI-3, Virtual Infrastructure Client (VI Client) can only mange VI-3 components. Now with this base I will try to answer your questions

  • If you are using your server ESXi 3.5 vSphere client is part of an environment of vCenter vSphere - because as part of the upgrade [to vCenter 4.0 can handle a server ESXi 3.5 -

  • It is not a tool open source I know to be taken in charge or not supported.

  • The platform of the last and largest is the line of products - ESX, ESXi 4 and vCenter 4 vSphere 4

  • The best free platform is ESXi 4 - this is the State of the art virtualization platform - it is available for free, but you'll still have to record it with VMware to get a valid license.  VMware has also a hosted virtualization platform that turns over operation called VMware Server - but ESXi has a higher level of performance-

  Hi cele0503. Can you connect to the host ESXi itself (instead of the Victoria Cross) and then change the license to this particular host, that host > configuration > licensed features and then change depending on there?

  I installed the package of 5.5 full vCenter server using the simple installation option and it includes vCenter server, single sign - on, Webclient vSphere, vCenter server and vCenter Server inventory service. All the the latter is installed on a virtual machine that is running Windows server 2008 R2 guest OS.

  
  

  Whenever I try to open a session on the vCenter Server uses the vSphere client, one of the following error is displayed.

  
  

  1. you do not have the permissions to connect to the server 'vCenter server IP address.

  2. cannot complete the connection incorrect username or password-, this error is visible when I do not specify domain\username domain user name and simply enter the user name.

  It is a known issue, relating to the collection of historical data being enabled (nonzero) in the properties of the VMWare Agent on the Agent status screen.

  Change to 0 to disable/re-enable the agent and it should fix the problem.

  Please open a ticket of level 1 with telephone support if you need more help.

  I just installed on my local machine to Windows7 ORE server 1.4.1 and open source R x 64 3.1.1. I use Oracle DB 11.2.0.4.0 64-bit. I followed 'Oracle R Enterprise Installation and Administration Guide version 1.4.1 for Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX'.

  When I type "Ore" at the command prompt windows, as written in the guidelines then open source R begins. The demos work correctly. the command 'library (ORE)' works correctly.

  However, if I try the other side start opensource R, then the 'library (ORE)' command will fail. I guess I have to put something in the R configuration file. Can anyone help?

  A few days ago I updated my client vCenter Server device of vpx of b. 6.0 to 6.0 update works fine, but when I log in web client, I have error #1009.

  Stop the web client, clear the cache of serenity, start the web client and nothing.

  I disabled the Update Manager and web client and Site Recovery Manager plugins works very well. Then I reload Update Manager and Site Recovery Manager and fails again.

  Update Manager to update to the latest version and fails again.

  Any tips? Help? Wishes?

  I need help to solve a query I have.

  We currently have a vCenter server that manages certain clusters, but also some stand-alone hosts with local storage (not shared). Stand-alone hosts are physically located on remote sites. Some sites have more than one of these stand-alone hosts. We have an obligation to move a VM to a standalone host guest to another independent host on the same remote site.

  As there is no shared storage the VM should be stopped before trying the vMotion.

  The virtual machine in question has a 4 TB thick VMDK accrued that is migrated between the physical host computers.

  I think when the vMotion is launched the data will be limited to the subnet that the two physical hosts are connected and therefore use the bandwidth available via local network equipment and will not let the physical site. My colleague suggested, however, that data travels through the vCenter server. Of course, this would cause a problem to try to move the data so much and would effectively mean that this 4TB would leave travel via the vCenter server, remote site, then return to the remote site. Not only this would be very slow, it could also have a negative impact on bandwidth to and from the site.

  So my question is who is correct? (Assuming that one of us is!)

  When you start migrating cold from a virtual computer by selecting migrate both (host and storage) where your hosts are based in the same place, it will happen with esxi source and target host, it will not go all the way to your host to vCenter.

  If your environment is vSphere client of web use 5.1 or higher, and you can move VM while it is powered on and residing in the local storage of the host. This feature is called Cross-host migration. available only by using the web client.
