vCenter Server Appliance error 6.0 #1009 after update

Hi guys.

A few days ago I updated my client vCenter Server device of vpx of b. 6.0 to 6.0 update works fine, but when I log in web client, I have error #1009.

Error_plugin_2.jpg

I tried all the work arrounds:

Stop the web client, clear the cache of serenity, start the web client and nothing.

I disabled the Update Manager and web client and Site Recovery Manager plugins works very well. Then I reload Update Manager and Site Recovery Manager and fails again.

Update Manager to update to the latest version and fails again.

Any tips? Help? Wishes?

I just opened a SR with Vmware, but I don't always have a solution or something. I want to wait for a solution before the restoration, but I can't live without feature Site Recovery Manager.

Thank you

Kerchief!

VMware support solved this situation.

My browser has settings to Spanish. So, I changed to English languaje of firefox, and the Vmware web client works very well!

Greetings Vmware support.

Hi, just wanted to know how to upgrade vCenter Server Appliance 5.5 to 5.5 Update 1. Is it with Crossover?

    Hello

Connect to your device from vCenter:

    https:// : 5480

    Click on the update tab,

Check the updates and then install updates.

Takes a long time. Restart when it's over.

    And you're done

  • VMware vCenter Server Appliance 5.1 is not Autostart cluster

    Problem:

After a VMware vCenter Server Appliance failure does not start automatecly.

I have configured to start automatecly to each host, but it does not start automatecly.

    My configuration:

Shared infrastructure-plate-forme PowerEdge VRTX with 3 servers running

    -3 x VMware ESXi 5.1.0 (799733)

    -1 x VMware vCenter Server Appliance 5.1

-Servers run as a cluster with HA.

Unfortunately Autostart VM is not supported in a Cluster, and so the settings are ignored. VM in clusters must be turned on manually (or using a script,...).

To configure DNS on the vCSA change the Type of address to SLAAC-IPv6 first and you can add DNS server address and the host name.

  • VMWare vCenter Server Appliance / 2012R2 Windows domain

    Hi all
I've recently updated my domaincontrollers to R2 2012 WIndows, and I installed vCenter on a vm through the ovf appliance. After you have configured the vCenter in the web gui, I can join the domain successfully and the virtual center appears in the field. After a restart of the virtualcenter, I'm not able to find the field in the client to vcenter under permissions. (version vCenter: VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-5.5.0.5101-1398493)

Someone at - it a tip on how to fix this?

You must login to webclient using [email protected] and navigate to the SSO configuration. Select your ad that you added and make this default domain. This makes the announcement should appear in the menu drop-down.

  • How to change the config of vCenter Server Appliance (5.5) ESXi host vm? [Solved]

I want to enable (set to true) memoryHotAddEnabled and cpuHotAddEnabled on the vCenter Server Appliance.

I can't the powerCLI user because he needs a vCenter Server Appliance to connect to (right?) and to allow HotAdd of the virtual machine must be turned off.

For anyone wondering, the best way to do this is to connect the ESXi host via vSphere Client, turn off the VM vCenter and update the configuration in this way.

  • VCenter Server Appliance 5.5 update w/o VUM

I'm Manager my first vmware environment. We are a small company and using the Essentials package. I have two hosts upward with a vCenter Server Appliance 5.5 Build 2063318. I'm looking for a way to update the device for security patches. I have not been able to find how to do that when we don't have a Manager Update server configuration. I downloaded the .iso file but have not been able to find all the commands that will allow me to manually install the package. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Note that you must connect vCenter Server Appliance Web Console (VAMI) address: https://vCenterServerIPAddress:5480/ NOT the vSphere Web Client that listens on a different port.

    I found the solution.

I disabled the JOB BE general relativity.

and the host where the virtual machine belong was not the right time. No Ntp server has been configured.

I did and now there works.

I think that the problem can come from this.

  • Location of the vCenter vCEnter Server Appliance 6.0.0 vs Linux plugin file

We have a plugin where we were using vCenter 6.0 hosted on a Linux server.  I could get my plugin files in /var/lib/vmware/vsphere-client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity and /import/storage.

We then deployed a vCenter Server Appliance 6.0.0 our plugin and it has a different directory structure.  The structure of directory changes to /var/lib/vmware.

Where can I find the folder of vsphere-client-serenity or its equivalent.

Or plugins to treat device unlike a vCenter 6.0 linux host?

    Thank you.

    I found it in/etc/vmware/vsphere-client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity

  • Setting up Certification Authority (CA) signed certificates for vCenter Server Appliance 6

    Hi all

Recently, I managed to migrate to vCenter Server Appliance 6. 5.5, there was a large KB (2057223) on Configuring Certificate Authority (CA) signed certificates for vCenter Server Appliance. I tried to do as it says configure the certificate for v6.

Unfortunately, I understand that some services such as lighttpd are changed in version.

Can anyone provide a new instruction for the v6?

    Thank you

Thank you. That helped me to see the idea. However, the explanation in the pages that was not complete. I had to search for more.

  • Open connections of hosts and vCenter Server Appliance

We have number of ESXi hosts configured in our environment with vCenter 5.1, far ssh is open to all in order to access all hosts via SSH. Although authenticating the users available but, even then, the issue raises so bound / restrict administrators IPs or subnet of the network for security reasons. Will be the same for vCenter Server Appliance.

Also can we restriction of IP level for the Vmware Client users, good that now everyone can make the connection between vSphere and vCenter cleint. Please advice

Please see below the resources needed to achieve the same on ESXi

  • If the patch management can be done by VMware Update Manager in vCenter Server Appliance as similar vCenter Server

    Hi friends,

If patches of the host management can be done through Vmware Update manager vCenter Server Appliance as in vCenter Server.

Tell me other differences between them...

    Kind regards

    Sirot Vijay

    1. Yes we can connect to the device using the vSphere client.

    2. in the installation of the update manager VCenter information will ask and he will automatically fit no special measures required.

    3. no conflict. Its just like you have two vCenter servers, but you can not have two server vCenter managing the same hosts.

  • Activate the VCA Mode of VMware vCenter Server Appliance

    Hello

I'm pretty new on vSphere.  I have two hosts running esxi 5.1 what one of these hosts running the "VMware vCenter Server Appliance' with vSphere version 5.5.  I currently have a single cluster containing all the VMS as well hosts and the SAN.

I try to activate the EVC mode, but when I try it tells me that the host is not allowed because there are powered on virtual machines.  I can turn off all the virtual machines except the vCenter device and I still get the problem on the host that has the device on it.  If I turn off the unit, I can't use vSphere to activate CVS.

How can I activate CVS when vSphere does not work?

    Thank you

    Jeff

    Hi Welcome to the communities,

This one is a bit complicated

    You have:

    1. turn off all VMs on Host1 (while vCenter device is on Host2)

2 bring Host1 on Cluster, select CVS clustered.

    3. put all the virtual machines on Host2 (also vCenter device)

    4. connect on Host2 directly to vSphere Client Windows

    5. remove the vCenter inventory unit

    6. connect on Host1 directly to vSphere Client Windows

    7. the data store when the appliance and add it to the inventory of research. Power on

    8. connect the device with Web client or vSphere vCenter

    9. move the second host in the cluster

    And you're done

    Concerning
