vCPU 0: ASSERT vmcore/vmm/main/irq.c:100 bugNr = 2293

Hello.

I run someones VW in VMPlayer on my FC15 (Dell Latitude) for several days, when once I received the same message and could not continue further.

I bought the workstation for $189, I was sure that: 1. This will fix my problem. 2 in the worst case, I'll have a support for the first months.

Both assumptions were incorrect - it does not work and I do not understand where to look for support to...:)

In any case, Google tips, I cloned the old machine and the new one worked for 2-3 days too. But then - the same story again. Internal error in monitor with the error message:

vCPU 0: ASSERT vmcore/vmm/main/irq.c:100 bugNr = 2293.

Any advice how to solve this problem or where to look for VMWare support will be highly appreciated.

There is a difficulty in the other thread...

    If you run the command

    Cat/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq

    He output

    6300000

?  If so, the problem is between your operating system kernel, your firmware (EFI/BIOS) and your CPU.  We are given false data and there is nothing we can do about it.  You may be able to fix it with an update of the firmware for your motherboard.  It could be a defect in the new operating system kernel itself, or it could be that the more recent operating system kernel newly uses a new feature that is badly configured by the firmware of your host.

If you need to substitute it, edit your/etc/vmware/config (as root) and add the line:

    host.cpukHz = 3467779

and should you're going to get.

    See you soon,.

Does anyone know how to fix this? There is no solution on the internet that I can find to thisvmware

Try to set the preferred mode (VM-> settings-> processors) "Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/IVR."

  • VMs will be running not because of a poor estimate of CPU speed

I recently installed the drive on a Windows 7 PC.  I can create virtual machines, but when I try to start them, I get the error:

    ASSERT d:/build/ob/bora-894247/bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:232 bugNr = 148722

    followed by:

Power error: cannot find a valid peers to connect to.

During my research, I found 1227 KB which deals with this issue and recommend the insertion of three lines in the config.ini file.  In my config.ini file I've specified these values:

    host.cpukHz = "1900000".
    host.noTSC = 'TRUE '.
    ptsc.noTSC = 'TRUE '.

I tried with just host.cpukHz setting at first, then added the other after that didn't work.  Also, I turned on sync time with host on all computers three virtual I created.  None of these things helped.

I also found this post that refers to this problem being attributed to an incorrect estimate of the speed of the CPU.  I checked this on my system, and according to the host.maxKHzestimate.value registry value, my processor is estimated at 40,04 GHz.  (No, this isn't typo.)  Not coincidentally, I'm sure, the system in Windows screen shows the same incorrect reading.  I deleted these registry values several times and restarted the computer (and the player), but the estimate is always re-created to 40,04 GHz.

The processor in this system is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2 .66GHz, but I actually have underclocked to 1.9 GHz.  CPU - Z recognizes the speed correctly ~1.9GHz.  I have no idea whence the estimate of 40GHz.

Just to be sure, this wasn't a problem with the virtual machines created on this system, I tried to copy a machine virtual work known from another system, but I get the same errors.

It is a Windows 7 freshly installed PC - Player was one of the first pieces of software that I have loaded.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this thing working?

It looks like a problem of security policy.  To apply the configuration options that you have added to the config.ini file, the user account must have the right to SeIncreaseWorkingSetPrivilege security.  Normally, this right is granted to all accounts default user.  If you are unable to grant this right to the user account for any reason, you should be able to set the configuration options in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\VMware\config.ini instead.

  • Problems to use Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit on ESX 3.5 U3

I am having some problems with Windows Server 2008 R2.

I was charged with the creation of 2 new Windows Server 2008 R2 servers. We have ESX 3.5 Update3. I found that in my attempts to put an address static IP in the virtual machine, the system crashes. If I leave the adapter to DHCP, it seems to work longer, but this obviously doesn't work. Just to be in the IP menu type in IP (do not hit OK or apply again) will cause the console screen lock.

I found that since the release of ESX 3.5 U4 notes:

x 64 versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 operating systems require Microsoft hotfix

x 64 versions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 without Microsoft hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950772 operating systems have a situation where the guest operating system is not responding and returns the following error:

MONITOR of PANIC: vcpu-3: SAY vmcore/vmm/cpu/segment.c:430

I was not able to find the error code in my ESX systems, so I can't confirm that I see the same question. I moved the virtual machine of 4 different hosts in the same cluster with the same results.

Here are the best true - I built the virtual machine from scratch and configured 2 GB RAM, 1vCPU and 40 GB slim HDD put into service. With no OS, I cloned this config for the 2nd of 2 servers that I need to install. I traced the two VM 2008 R2 ISO we have on our Image data store. Both installed at the same time. Given their Unique IP and Machine names and joined them in the field. Once that ended, I migrated my cluster Corp Server2 to my cluster off site for DR purposes. The only change in config is the VLAN on the remote cluster.

The two systems worked very well. As I returned to server 1 to start install application - lock. Reboot, login and lock. This is where I started to move the virtual machine to other hosts of the local cluster. I have found no point in troubleshooting, I'll just clone server 2. I deleted the name of the Server1 computer. Off of Server2, cloned it more to the local cluster. I then started without the NIC on so I could change the name of the computer, IP and add to the domain. This seemed to go well, I have been brought back online and start installing the application. Until I'm at the point of launch the installer app - lock.

2 on the remote cluster server works smoothly. I have validated the ESX host on all host versions to make sure I was in the same field of play on both sides - check. No other Server 2008 seems to have this problem.

I will delete and rebuild 1 server from scratch, but I don't see how I can do a clean install of ISO any different for the same hardware and best results.

I checked the link to the fix for MS, but article reference Server 2003...

Is there something that I am on?

Addendum:-I find it strange that although I have 2008 R2 installed, the drop down menu to comments what OS in VM config allows only to 2008 (64-bit) for the selection nearest you. If you look at the field Server guest operating system in a nutshell, it says that NT 4.0 is installed. Is this just a problem of display text with this version, or a cause for concern? I found everything all the R2 are displayed as NT4 in the Summary tab.

Corrections - it seems Server2 locks as well at the opening of the Server Manager window - I can see the "collection of data...» "downstairs. I had also opened the work center & gt; Properties window on top of the Server Manager window. VM has ceased.

Addendum - I found that R2 the boot safe mode with networking to adjust the TCP/IP offload to disabled results in a locked VM when in network properties.

2008 R2 is not on the official list of guests supported, and others have reported problems with it as well.

I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.

VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

PS: I'm leaving a beginner in the Linux world, so explanation would be welcome

    Hello

Welcome to the VMware community forums.

I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.

If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.

    vmx| E105: PANIC: VERIFY bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr=148722

If you then put the bug number into google, you get:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1227

Which indicates in return you can set a configuration file to specify the actual frequency of your processor.

Your processor is an Intel (r) Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

The linux variant of the config.ini file they speak on windows hosts is/etc/vmware/config

  • Cannot start virtual machines on Windows - get "internal error."

After restarting my computer, all the virtual machines in workstation that allows you to start now will no longer start.  Currently to get the super useless error message: "Internal error." which is of course totally shameful.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, tried searching for "cpuidHash" in my registry to reset, which curiously is not there as part of the services, I tried to remove / delete the VMEM and even tried to create a new VM and start it without an operating system and all attempts to start no VM result in the same message.  Also get the same error when trying to boot from VMware Player.

Key in the log error can be: "E105: PANIC: CHECK bora\vmcore\vmx\main\timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr = 148722 '.

Any help on how to get VMware software to service is appreciated - thanks in advance!

Thank you Darius - had already tried.  It turns out that this specific response of spoonalious solved my problem.  Not sure what caused the problem in the 1st place, to my knowledge, nothing had changed, but after completing these steps and restart services the issue was resolved after much work.  VMware software are extremely fragile and breaks easily it seems:

New host PC - VM will start is more (internal error - VMWare Workstation 11)

Thanks to Darius and spoonalious for the position of solution!

ESXi will run more lean and badder than Windows as long as it runs on your hardware, because HCL is quite small, particularly around cards network and storage adapters, although the latter can be fixed with a relatively cheap Intel NIC if necessary. You should be able to download ESXi 4.0 and there are a lot of resources for how you can make a bootable USB stick with it on if you search the web so that you can test your hardware without having to blow the OS you have installed. The one caveat is that if you want to keep the installation of Windows host for now, you would need some local or SAN storage for the files of ESXi (VMFS) system that stores the VM files - it cannot easily co-exist with other operating systems or data non-VMFS on a disc. To get to the stage of installing ESXi where she wants to flatten your existing disc structure but would be enough to know that your hardware is supported. Note that ESXi 4.0 is 64-bit only 3.x is 32-bit, but will run 64-bit guests if the chipset is capable.

There are the official VMware HCL listings for providers of servers and a community HCL too where people report back on the success or failure with other hardware.

  • 'Internal error' when starting a machine virtual

    Hello

I'm under Fusion 6.0.2 on OS X 10.9.2.  This is a new installation of 6.0.2 on a machine which was new two weeks ago.  My VM is Windows 7 64 bit.  My VM worked before I upgraded to 10.9.2, but I don't know which is linked.  Now, when I start the VM, it quickly fails with a dialog box that indicates "internal error."

I found this thread where a few users have had the same symptoms:

Internal error when you start a virtual machine in Fusion 6 - Mavericks host

I tried a little things listed, with no luck:

You can also check $HOME/Library/Logs/VMware/and $TMPDIR/vmware-$USER for log files from the model vmware-vmx-* .log?  If there is none, would you mind to do what follows?

-Add the following line to $HOME/Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/config (please do not hesitate to change the path to something else)

    vmx.log.temporaryFileName = "/tmp/vmx-temp.log".

-Start the virtual machine.  When the error is observed, join the file specified above.

There is no files in a path.  I created the configuration file and added the line, set 777 permissions on the two directories, started the virtual machine (it failed once again) and verified: STILL no files in two places.

Thank you.  Could you do the following, and then try to switch on/off the virtual machine again?

      • Set your unlimited base file size limit: ulimit unlimited-c
      • In Fusion, go to settings-> advanced and choose ' Hang/Crash' to the way of solving problems.

Please let me know if the error message changes and if there is no base generated in /cores file.

The error message has not changed.  I had to force-shutdown my VM to change the ways of solving problems (which was not obvious how to do!).  It has not generated a /cores base file.

It's intriguing.  Let's try the virtual machine running from the command line.

      • Leave the merged UI.
      • From a terminal, run
        • sudo/Applications/VMware Fusion.app/contents/library/services.sh--debut
        • / Applications/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-vmx-debug - x Users/kamil/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/CentOS 64 - bit.vmwarevm / CentOS 64 - bit.vmx

  • T410 + battery Slice - sleep problem

    Dear community,

I have a Thinkpad T410 with the following specifications:

    Intel Core i7 620 m

    4 GB of RAM

    NVIDIA nv3100m

    Windows 7 Professional x 64

I have problems if I go to fashion 'sleep'. If I press mode 'sleep', the t410 go to sleep less than 1 second pulse led on the power button, and the sign of the moon on the back of the LCD turns off. Next time if I turn on the T410, Windows asks me if I will start normally or in safe mode. So this means that the battery or the T410 certainly interrupts the current, and they seem to have no power. But it doesn't happen every time. For example, I give the following:

Main battery: battery 100%: 100%: "sleep" mode works perfectly

Main battery: battery 100%: 50%: "sleep" mode works perfectly

Main battery: battery 100%: 0%: "sleep" mode works perfectly

Main battery: battery Slice 75%: 0%: "sleep" mode works perfectly

Main battery: between 60 downto 0% battery range: 100%: standby mode does not work.

I did this for the moment a long time. I can't give a percentage by exactly, when the sleep mode does not work, but if the slice to 0% and the main battery approximately between 60% downto > 0%.

I updated my BIOS and also the energy Manager. But there is the problem more far.

Anyone have the same problem and have a solution for this? I think that behave in the system/T410 isn't normal right?

Thanks in advance for your help. I look forward to your answers...

I am very pleased to find this solution. Now I can to each battery charge percentage goes into sleep, even with the battery installed slice mode.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the spacing in a chart xy of the graduations. I can't find in the properties. I'll put the max/min for the x / balance there by program and I want to thank scales scale max/min, a past my y max and max x values of data. I do not mean constant + 5 or some because if the main graduations are 100, don't hardly see you any difference where as if they were tick mark in 0.5 increments the graph is too distributed on. Suggestions?

    for,

In 2009, ticks can be set with the properties of the increment in the range, as shown. Oder versions have this property?

  • Is there a solution of 1 button to change the display language in Windows 7?

I am tired and sick do not receive do not answer to my question and my anxiety while you post as if respond you. You insult me. You make fun of posting me that you got a response to my concern and question yet I couldn't see any response what that it is displayed on this web page, nor do I found a link to any answer.  You are doing the public a say ' service.  If you are unable to answer my question on the open air, then at least send me an email to * address email is removed from the privacy *.

Please SEND THIS If POSSIBLE to BILL GATES AND ALL OTHER MICROSOFT GURU OR MANAGER WHO CARES REALLY BRING of BILLION OF DOLLARS EXTRA to MICROSOFT OF the STRANGER.  OR AT LEAST SEND TO ANYONE WHO CARES MORE TO THE SUCCESS OF MICROSOFT AND THE FUTURE.
My question to which I have still not got an answer was; If "Windows 7 Ultimate" has a button by which we could change the display language for windows with a single click in the computer. To change this through many steps are not an option for billions of nonEnglish speakers who doesn't understand enough about how to do these steps, so they decide that it is not worth to buy Windows in a foreing language to them, so they use just illegal free or cheep Windows copy from one computer to the other. They prefer windows in English, but only at certain times to have display in English and to be able to go to their native language at will. We want a button click on change of English in any foreign language major, on and before each time that decide us or want to change.
Many steps in trying to change the display language is not an option. I am an English speaker fluent, but I like both French and Spanish. I have XP, but for me it is better to buy the Windows7Ultimate if he proposes a change to the language screen button click in windows. IT IS NOT AT ALL FOR ME TO BUY WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE IF I Y GO EVERY TIME THROUGH THE PROCESS ENTIRE HEADACHE TO UNINSTALL ALL MY PROGRAMS AND WIDOWS AND INSTALL AGAIN JUST TO HAVE THE DISPLAY OF THE LANGUAGE I WANT AT ANY TIME I WANT.    BILLIONS OF PEOPLE ON EARTH DESIRES TO PASS ENGLISH LANGUAGE MORE THE WORLD AND THEIR OWN LANGUAGE THEY UNDERSTAND BETTER, TO SWITCH YOU AS MANY TIMES AS YOU NEED OR WANT IT, EVERY DAY WHEN DOES.
It is not practical for us, nor possible because we do not have the time to uninstall windows or a 5 times language pack, or 6 or 7 times a day just so that we could switch between English and French or Spanish or Chinese-Mandarin Hindu SEVEN times per day that we might need. WE WANT to SWITCH BETWEEN WINDOWS DISPLAY LANGUAGE ENGLISH AND ALL OTHER MAIN FOREIGN LANGUAGE 100 TIMES a DAY IF WE FEEL WITH THE CLICK OF A button I LOVE and no one should stop us to do, and I mean that WE SHOULD HAVE THAT OPTION of BEING ABLE to DO so, BUT I'M NOT aware THAT WE DO.
SO please LET ME KNOW IF I HAVE the OPTION with the HELP of THE OTHERWISE ULTIMATE de WINDOWS 7 IT does IS NOT INTERESTING for me to buy Windows7Ultimate since Windows XP, it's still as good or better.    About 5 billion people on earth or more do not speak English a lot understand enough - well BUT they would like to (and I will) to switch between the English and their (or my) native language in the display of Windows, several times per day whenever we want.
Have we THAT the OPTION TO CHANGE THE DISPLAY LANGUAGE in WINDOWS WITH a SINGLE CLICK of a BUTTON AVAILABLE IN Windows7Ultimate OR NOT?

That's what I need to know, but no one answered my question so far.  Don't give me more than a link to a web page where I could buy or download a language pack that I would have to install and uninstall 10 times a day if I want to change from English to Spanish or the French and return in English and Spanish, and so on 10 times a day.  This process is stupid and a waste of time and it is not difficult, if not impossible for most of us (of the billion of us). WE NEED AND WE WANT TO CHANGE THE DISPLAY LANGUAGE IN WINDOWS WITH A SINGLE CLICK OF A BUTTON AS MANY TIMES WE WANT EVERY DAY.  IF I PAY MICROSOFT A LOT OF MONEY IT SHOULD AT LEAST BE WORTHED.
SO GIVE US WHAT WE WANT. ABOUT 5 BILLION OF US SPEAK NOT ENGLISH FAIRLY WELL, EVEN IF WE WISH TO PASS ENGLISH AND OUR LANGUAGES KINDERGARTEN ON, BEHIND 10 OR 20 OR 100 TIMES A DAY, AS WE CAN HAVE THE NEED OF THE DO.  We cannot simply install and uninstall some language pack 10, 20 or 100 times a day else we will not be able to do anything except waste our valuable time.  SO GIVE US WANT WE WANT.
    PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE US.
PEOPLE IGNORED USES PIRATE WINDOWS WINDOWS TOOK A COPY AND DISSEMINATE OR INSTALLED IN HUNDREEDS OF THOUSANDS OF COMPUTERS. It's in your best interest, not to ignore the poor who are familiar with the English people or foreigners, who believes that if they can't buy the windows with this option (to BE ABLE to SWITCH THE DISPLAY LANGUAGE BETWEEN ENGLISH AND THEIR OWN NATIVE WINDOWS WITH THE click OF A BUTTON AS MANY TIMES as THEY WISH every DAY) , then it is not worth to buy it at all, but not worth it from one computer to the other side even if it is illegal.  This is the case today in most of the countries of the Earth. There are more illegal copies of Windows 98 and 2000 in use abroad as any copy of Windows abroad, for this reason = IT does IS NOT WORTH the MONEY WITHOUT THE SWITCHING "ONE click" of ENGLISH FOR FOREIGNERS AND BACK AND FORTH.
You want to address this problem through the introduction of Windows 7 Ultimate, where you can change the language with the click of a button and worth to have the original of these windows, not you?
-I would like to personally, otherwise I won't be wasting my time of Magor write you about the need to switch Windows language display to be made possible by a click of a button.
IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT BILLIONS OF PEOPLE OVERSEAS WITH SUCH NEED AND DESIRE, THEN AT LEAST TO RESPOND TO A FEW HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF FANS OF MULTI LINGUIST OR - SPEAKERS MULTILINGUAL; AND DO YOUR MATH BY MULTIPLYING THIS NUMBER WITH $250 BY THE NEW COPY OF WINDOWS SOLD. (IT HAS TO DO WITH BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN ANNUAL PROFITS). THIS MUST SURELY BE A VERY NICE HIKE IN PROFIT AND IN THE SHARES OF MICROSOFT.  BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE A LOSER OR A SABOTEUR FROM MICROSOFT, THEN GO AHEAD, CONTINUE TO IGNORE THE UNITED STATES AND OUR NEED. MANY OF MY FRIENDS BELIEVES THAT MICROSOFT MINDS AS CLEAR AS THEY ARE, don't ARE STILL NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH to MAKE POSSIBLE TEL NEED AVAILABLE - that is to say: to make possible the switch of the Windows display language from English to another major foreign language with a simple click on a button for us to be able to do is as many times a day as you could want.
I tell my friends that they are wrong and that you can sell these windows.
My second question is: ARE they HAVE RIGHT?  OR AM I RIGHT?   WHATEVER THEY ARE, JUST PLEASE GIVE ME ANSWERS TO MY QUESTIONS AND DID NOT GIVE ME ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS I NEVER ASKED. PLEASE, I BEG YOU.
AND THIS MESSAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY TO BILL GATES (IF POSSIBLE) OR FOR CERTAIN EXECUTIVES OF MICROSOFT RESPONSIBLE AND WISE MAN WHO COULD AND ADDRESSES THESE ISSUES.   IF YOU WANT OUR MONEY OUTSIDE CANADA, PARTICULARLY OUR EUROS, THEN TO GIVE US WHAT WE WANT.
A FRIEND far AWAY WHO JUST SEE WHAT I AM WRITING TO YOU, SAID: "IF THEY are not, THEN THE _ WITH ALL THEIR NEW WINDOWS BECAUSE WE're NOT GOING to BUY EVERYTHING FOR THE NEXT YEARS of 1O if IL VA y BEING MORE UPDATES OF OUR XP is or NOT."
About me... maybe I'll stick with my XP for ten years but I could probably use it for the next seven years UNLESS I could buy a copy of the window earlier that allows the windows display language can be maneuvered with a single click of a button between English and French and in Spanish as many times as I wish every day and will without wasting my time to install and uninstall packages of language or reinstall the windows and all other programs I have installed in my computer again and again.
Well, I hope you could help me with some concrete answers to my questions and good advice about this. IF you do not have available answers to our needs in the "Windows 7 Ultimate" then we should just waith for the next Windows coming after 7 Ultimate WITH the HOPE that you will take care of the major needs in the Windows thereafter, that follows after Windows 7 Ultimate.  Thank you for your time and I'LL WAIT for a RESPONSE FROM YOU.

    Hello danobadiah,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I merged your nine positions in your last message as they treat everyone the same questions. You had your questions answered several different people in order to help answer your question. The answer to your question, "Windows 7" has a button by which we could change with a single click, the display of the windows in the computer language is 'no '. There's not a single button to make such a change in the display language in the way you described. Persons responding gave you the common way to the Windows 7 operating system works by changing from English to another language. We are not the developers in this forum and do not know if your desire to have a one button click on any major foreign language switch from English is a possibility.

This is not the right forum to ask your question on a design change. If you want to offer developers a way to change the Windows 7 operating system, and then publish the Web site so that you can give your comments in future versions of the operating system.

  • How to migrate R7 - 572 G Win8.1 at mSATA SDS?

Hi, there is a matter to be resolved?

I just installed a new (MX200 Crucial 250 GB) mSATA for my Aspire R7 - 572 computer G laptop and I have to follow the instructions of the wire - Aspire R7 - 572 disassembly (http://community.acer.com/t5/2014-Archives/Aspire-R7-572-Teardown/m-p/217869#M36147).

The problem is that the new SSD does not start and I have the original 1 format to HDD, but at least I save a USB startup for recovery. After googleing I found a show thread the bellowing of the measures:

    1. use Acer recovery manament to a USB stick for recovery, start-up and change usb stick/sources/ReCreatePartition.txt, alter create size of the primary partition = 100000

(this means 100 GB for the C drive)

    2. remove 1 TB HARD drive

    3. install the new SSD

    4 boot from usb key

5 restore win8.1 to new ssd

    6. restart and test if new ssd starts properly and if it is correct, and then install original 1 TB HARD drive for laptop

    7. enter in bios, first define the new start of the ssd.

If any suggestion on step 1 (alter create primary partition size), or everyone try these steps before?

change the main partition to 100 GB may be correct since the mSATA is smaller than the HARD drive, so if the primary partition is too big from the factory, the installation will fail on the mSATA (out of memory)
