Verclsid.exe taking 30 seconds to complete

Various programs on my computer regularly cross periods do not respond for up to 30 years.  I have a correlation between these periods to the verclsid.exe process running.  When the process is complete (it disappears from the task list), the original program continues to operate normally.

I understand verclsid.exe done an audit of security on the new com objects.  Is there a way this can be expedited?

After a bit of investigation using autoruns on the Solution Explorer tab, I discovered that the problem has disappeared if I disabled the shell extension added by the version of the client owncloud 1.7.1

I raised a bug on the site ownCloud to fix here.

  • DLLHOST.exe taking up all the RAM random instance.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate and 4 GB of RAM on a Dell Inspiron 530 computer. A few minutes ago I was watching YouTube and I clicked on the Start button, because I wanted to do something. The computer then nuts. The flashed repeatedly start button then has frozen, Firefox froze and the screen went black and white for a few seconds. I opened the Task Manager and kill everything, but it was still extremely slow. CPU and memory were at an all time high, (I think 60 CPU, Mem was about 100). I then checked the show all option process and discovered that DLLHOST.exe was using 4 000 000 KB of memory. What the heck is DLLHOST.exe, why should I use as much memory, and is it essential? Can I get rid of him? Why it opens so randomly?

You could also deal with this issue because of any third-party application. I suggest you to start your computer in a clean boot state, and check if it helps.

Clean boot: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

That's why INDEXES on these columns are NOT used.

  • in System 32 Spoolsv.exe taking 90% of the CPU usage.

Original title: spoolsv.exe in System 32

in my task manager processes, spoolsv.exe exists that uses more than 90 percent of one of my cores of the processor. It is in System 32. I want to know what is it and why it uses 45% of my CPU?
How can I stop it permanently?

    Hello

    Method 1.
This happens usually when the printer spooler folder is filled with unwanted files. You can resolve this problem by following the steps below:
    a. go to start, settings, then click Control Panel
    (b) in the Control Panel window, double-click first administrative tools, then Services.
    (c) in the right pane of the Services window, locate and with right-click on print spooler and then select stop.
    d. you have stopped this process, leave the window open. Now open my computer and navigate to the following folder.
    c:\windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS
    e. delete all files in the Printers folder. After you delete the files in this folder, return to the Services window, right-click on print spooler and select start reactivate service.

    Method 2.
Although the true spoolsv.exe file is a secure, many malicious programs are known to dress up in spoolsv.exe. Sometimes the security program installed might not be fair enough. I also recommend you update your security software regularly.

    a. follow the link below to start the free online scan:
    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
    b. run the malware removal tool from Microsoft.
Microsoft Malicious - 32-bit removal tool

  • acrodist.exe rely on its own and hogging continually 1 processor

In our company, we noticed on several machines acrodist.exe (Acrobat Distiller) environment is randomly maxing out CPU 1 kernel. Dual-core computer so now it is 50% use, use of 25% of hearts, octa-core 12.5% CPU utilization.

It is same when the end user does not use an Acrobat or PDF-related applications. After investigation, using Process Explorer, we noticed about 10 minutes after the first start, for some reason acrotray.exe called distill (acrodist.exe) in the context of users by using the following command line:

    acrodist/n/p - UseSystemFonts Q:15

acrodist.exe process then proceeds to run 1 CPU maxing out indefinitely until it is completed manually from the Task Manager.

Using Help files , I know what that switch parameters n/n/n (a new instance of the Distiller) and /Q:15 (quit after 15 seconds of completion) are, but I cannot know what p - UseSystemFonts ask to be distilled to make. Anyone got any ideas? Our theory is that's stuck dealing with a police force but no idea that is. Any help would be appreciated.

We have tried to analyse the process using Process Explorer and Process Monitor threads, but have not been able to get something useful from what acrodist.exe is doing or what he's stuck on.

Confirmed the existence of this problem at least 140 of our machines from Win7 SP1 (32 and 64 bit) with Acrobat XI (v11), Standard and Pro versions are affected.

We have determined when acrodist.exe is blowing further than trying to read the path defined in the string (by default) under:

    HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\AdobePDFSettings\

This string contains the local path below:

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings

but for some reason, it fails to read the C:\ProgramData\... path. In our environment, it was because of our 3rd party user profile virtualization solution called AppSense Environment Manager. Stopping AppSense Management acrodist.exe customization EM has apparently solved the problem.

In addition, I just wanted to add, this affected only users who had launched Acrobat Distiller in the Start Menu at least once before, this action has added the registry location in their profile what EM AppSense could not read. If they have never launched the tool to distil then they usually have a problem, even if they use daily from Acrobat. Most users we found will that in Acrobat, only more advanced power users will open to distill, so this is why it did not affect all computers.

    Hello

I suggest you draw the simultaneous program and analyze the trace file. To do this, mark the simultaneous program as Trace enable (RESP system administrator, Menu simultaneous > program > define) and then run the program and download the trace file after dealing with tkprof. Check which are the staements who take most of the time and try to optimize them.

    It will be useful.

In this story, I can't click anything that runs - IE without access to the internet or anti-virus software, I think its something to do with rstrui.exe or rundl32.exe.

Secondly, I do not get the first error message on my account but I can't run any programs. He can't know what to use to open it. But the guest account seems to work very well.

I looked on the internet but nothing I tried works. Please can someone help me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robzy_k4,

You will need to update your antivirus and run a full scan of the system in safe mode, until you see that your system has no infection found.

Once your system is virus-free, your desktop and eerything should be normal. It is likely that you are not able to open exe files open with dialog box:

You will need to rename regedit.exe to regedit.com (my computer-> tools-> option-> view file-> remove tickmark to "Hide extension for known file types"-> ok-now right click on local disk C:\WINDOWS\ online search of regedit.exe rename regedit.com).

Then click on Start-> Run Type &-> Regedit-> ok.

    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command
(you will have to press on + to achieve order)

Now, double-click default slot right windows and then change the value in this box for '%1' % *.

    Repeat the same for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

Close regedit, restart your pc and check if its working.

Now on the connection of your brother, once all the steps above are performed, click Start-> run, type & -> regedit-> ok navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER-> software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion-> Run and on the right side, find the key that point to crss.exe in the temporary location and delete it.
