Verification of the process of the printer is "stuck" and locking me

I have an OfficeJet 8500 has more and have been very happy with it.

My first document jam today (after 12 months) and think I erased it.

However, the printer is "Checking Printer - this can take a few minutes" - it took more than 30 minutes with no progress.

I turned it off and restart - same result - still 'verification' after more than half an hour.

How do I please you?

Generally, this model can take up to 45 minutes for the message to go.

So if the printer still has the same message after 1 hour, please contact technical support by telephone for assistance they may need to perform some steps more which could include some resets.

  • Remote printer in homegroup sees the printer as "offline" and cannot print.

    I created a homegroup with two computers portable win7, a connected via ethernet to the router and other work wireless. The HP Deskjet 4280 printer is connected via USB cable to a USB hub that is connected to the portable computer that is connected to the router. The wired computer is able to see the printer as 'online' and is able to print. Wireless laptop sees the printer, but shows like 'offline' envisaged in its control panel. It can send jobs to the printer and they appear in the queue, but will not print. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Problem solved. When the hard drive is dead and has been replaced in the laptop computer attached to the printer, the name was changed by technology. Therefore, the default printer will appear in the info from the control panel of the laptop wireless was labeled with the old name. Once the printer with the correct name affiliation has been defined as the default, print jobs went as they should. Thanks to everyone who checked on this for me.

    Make sure that the image is set to RGB in Photoshop.

    In addition, we suggest you follow the steps below:

    1. exit and then restart Photoshop

    2. go in the file menu > hover your mouse over Print > press and hold the space key

    3 try printing

    This would reset the printing preferences for Photoshop.

    I have a HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one that has stopped printing because of the stopped print spooler.  The printer is connected to a local network.  My OS is Windows 7.  I tried Wizard solutions HP that does not help or give answers.  All I get is error 1053 has failed at the beginning or demand for appropriate ion Conytol.  What should I do to start the print spooler?

    To start the spooler go to the start menu and select Control Panel then Tools administration and select Services, and then scroll until you see print spooler. If the spooler is running, then select Restart the service, and then try to print a document.

    Do it manually:

    Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type the following text in the black command prompt window.  Press ENTER after each line.

    1. net stop spooler
    2. del "% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*" [Y when prompted type]
    3. net start spooler
    4. output

    If you get an error, please report the full error message without paraphrase.  "Could not complete due to a runtime error" is not useful.

    I had reinstalled a HP Photosmart Premium printer and it worked last night, but this morning, I discovered that I was not able to print to the printer (the option for this printer was not available).

However, I accidentally created a generic icon (printer, Scanner, copier) on this page.  I then added my printer and the icon that it is now on the page, but the generic icon is still there.  When I select this icon, I don't seem to be able to remove.

    It could be that this is a transient condition, but it's still annoying to have this icon (which is now useless).  What can I do?
