Version of selector mass compilation VI

I was using Version TestStand selector to switch between the two latest versions of TestStand I have installed on my computer.  I noticed that when you switch between TestStand versions he reinstalles the TestStand addon in the LabVIEW directory.  This causes a small question, where I got a rubdown compiles this directory every time so I don't have to re-record my VI using the monitor for the termination and other VI in this library.

Before that I post this as a request to the exchange of idea (to do a compilation of mass), does anyone know if this already exists (except manual)?

Thank you

Hi paulmw,

One option is to write a VI to change the compilation version and the mass of TestStand directory automatically.  You can call the Version TestStand selector from the command line.  The arguments for this are displayed using TestStand.

There is also an example VI here that shows how a directory compile mass.  This, combined with a system Exec function to call the picker version and you wouldn't have mass compile manually.

Kind regards

  • LabVIEW project: Mass compile automatically

Is it possible to use massive compilation that it is used in a project, LabVIEW, in other words, right click on the top of the tree (the project) and using massive compilation by program?

I have reviewed the articles on the massive compilation of the directory, or mass compiles all VI within the project (requires a certain amount of overhead).

It doesn't seem to be an invoke node that when you have a reference to the project, will allow you mass compile the project.  No article on point as far as I can tell.

A follow-up question would be, is it better to mass compile the directory of a project, or each of the files in a project?

Operation 'Save all' on the project will be enough for what you need? If so, it is a hidden gem for this:

    VI.lib\Utility\EditLVProj\Save all Project.vi this

"Save all" and compile mass have some subtle differences, but if a "save all" will do for you that VI should be all you need.

I still do with LabVIEW 2009 and TestStand 4.2.1?

    Hi GovBob,

You don't need to do it with LabVIEW 2009 and TestStand 4.2.1. If you access this location: C:\Documents and
    All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand
4.2.1\AdapterSupport\LabVIEW, you will see that there are already documents llb 90.l in default values.

  • error-17500 when you use the version selector and the toolboxinstaller.exe file not found since the deployment of ts3.5

Whenever I run the version selector to switch between ts4.2 and 3.5, it displays the error message above and gives also advice how to fix for a version of visual studio, I do not have (I am using 2003). As well as this when I start the deployment of TS3.5 engine I get error message with toolboxinstaller.exe system.io.filenotfound. I know that they are then tried to repair/reinstall nothing works, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Hi Elizabeth,.

The message below is similar to the message that you receive (note that this message relates to Visual Studio 2005, you could relate to Visual Studio 2003):

This is a known issue with Version TestStand selector and was reported to R & D (#171620). The picker Version TestStand assumes that when Visual Studio is installed on the machine, that Visual C++ has also been installed. It tries to write in Visual C++ specific files that do not exist if Visual C++ is not installed.

This error does not mean that something is not necessarily, it is more a message that the file cannot be written in successfully. You should be able to continue to launch TestStand successfully without problem.

On the deployment utility, I suppose that the two issues are related, however, it would be much easier to say for certain that the error you receive won't cause problems if you post a screenshot of the error. You can do it.

    Thank you!

  • method compiles mass

    Hi... bit experienced user here.

I want to mass compile a directory at run time.

    Looked at this link: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361F-01/lvprop/app_mass_compile/

But... I don't know how to implement this solution.

Not sure that I fully understand what a 'method' LabView is.

    Run LabView 2009 on XP.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

How to create a 'method' for the massive compilation

    (1) go to the comics right click and select "node invokes the programming-> application control->" and place it on the BD

    2) click this call node and select "Compile mass" from the pop up menu

    (3) If you need more information, then do a CTRL + H and hover your mouse over this 'massive complie method' for detailed help

It was discussed if you updated to 1.2 pre-release, you ran in a potential major problem which is the notification bar does not slip down. I have, unfortunately experience this problem. Is there anyone that can provide steps on how to get the latest version of git and compile it so I can fix it? I'm afraid that my technical expertise has hit a wall in this case.

  • iTunes - compilations, absent from the list of Albums

I have several compilations in iTunes (12.4.0.119) on my MacBook Pro.  These appeared in the list of albums of the library until now, but suddenly they no longer appear in the list of Albums.  They always appear under Gianni and recently added, but only with the single artist Albums appear in the list of Albums.

Also has anyone seen this problem? I think that this only started happening after the last automatic update of the software a few days ago.

In the version 12.4 iTunes compilations are hidden in the Album > grid side if the field sort by is set to something other than an artist.

  • Several versions of TestStand (2013 and 2016)

Are there problems of having several versions of the TestStand development environment installed on my development machine? Thank you.

    Hi stephenb2,

There is no problem with having multiple versions of installed TestStand. There are a few things to keep in mind though.

Only one version of TestStand engine can be active at a time. Use the Version TestStand selector to change the active version. Sequence of files created in TestStand 2013 can be opened in 2016, but not vice versa (although you can save as a previous version if you wish). Finally, you have separate directories for each version, so make sure you know what directory/version, you are working in.

    Hope that helps!

  • How to mark a .vi so it is ignored by massive compilation?

    Hello

I'm in the progress of the update of an old project to LV 2013 and my massive compilation says this:

    #### Starting Mass Compile: 7. aug 2015 10:00:10
      Directory: "C:\MyLabviewProgram"
      ### Bad VI: "VI Tree.vi" Path="C:\MyLabviewProgram\VI Tree.vi"
    #### Finished Mass Compile: 7. aug 2015 10:00:53

This .vi will ALWAYS fail (I hope you can guess why ).

This project has only a .vi who is "a failed as expected", among other projects, I'm about to upgrade have a lot more.

Is there a way to tag / mark a file for massive compilation will ignore it altogether?

Place the contents of the VI tree in a case off.

    Hi guys

I think I can give you a helping hand on this.

I have the same problem when I'm working on the Tutorial (2013) exercise 2 with Rio evaluation Kit.

You can try one of the following option.

    Solution 1.

    1. in the VI package manager.

Select 'Tools '->' Options'-> "General '->' package Installation"-> Unchecked 'mass Compile screws after Installation of the package.

    Solution 2

    1. in the VI package manager, uninstall the driver LCD

    2. unchecked "Mass compile screws after Installation of the package" (see Solution 1)

3 reinstall the driver of the LCD screen.

Mine did after Solution 2 and the compiler works.

Hope it will be useful for you guys.

  • Compile the .air file

    Hello

is anyone able to compile the .air file in a .bar using the command line? I mean, I can compile the .swf file but I don't want to use debug .swf but final version .air file to compile in .bar

my order of compilation for .swf file works and looks like this:

    blackberry-airpackager -package -installApp -launchApp -device 192.168.44.129 MyApp.bar src/MyApp-app.xml -C bin-debug MyApp.swf icons/90x90.png blackberry-tablet.xml

now, when I pass .swf for .air I got a compiler error:

Content root RemotairBlackBerry.swf is missing in the package

Error: Validation of the AIR is not

    Help, please

Have you seen any document indicating that the .air files will work? As far as I know, they won't. .air files are just zip files with a different extension, I think, you should be able to open it and get the SWF file. When do it from the command line I use amxmlc to compile my SWF, but I do not use the standard AIR conditioner that makes the .air files.
