method compiles mass

Hi... bit experienced user here.

I want to mass compile a directory at run time.

Looked at this link: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361F-01/lvprop/app_mass_compile/

But... I don't know how to implement this solution.

Not sure that I fully understand what a 'method' LabView is.

Run LabView 2009 on XP.

Appreciate any help.

Thank you.

How to create a 'method' for the massive compilation

(1) go to the comics right click and select "node invokes the programming-> application control->" and place it on the BD

2) click this call node and select "Compile mass" from the pop up menu

(3) If you need more information, then do a CTRL + H and hover your mouse over this 'massive complie method' for detailed help

  • Version of selector mass compilation VI

    I was using Version TestStand selector to switch between the two latest versions of TestStand I have installed on my computer.  I noticed that when you switch between TestStand versions he reinstalles the TestStand addon in the LabVIEW directory.  This causes a small question, where I got a rubdown compiles this directory every time so I don't have to re-record my VI using the monitor for the termination and other VI in this library.

    Before that I post this as a request to the exchange of idea (to do a compilation of mass), does anyone know if this already exists (except manual)?

    Thank you

    Hi paulmw,

    One option is to write a VI to change the compilation version and the mass of TestStand directory automatically.  You can call the Version TestStand selector from the command line.  The arguments for this are displayed using TestStand.

    There is also an example VI here that shows how a directory compile mass.  This, combined with a system Exec function to call the picker version and you wouldn't have mass compile manually.

  • LabVIEW project: Mass compile automatically

    Is it possible to use massive compilation that it is used in a project, LabVIEW, in other words, right click on the top of the tree (the project) and using massive compilation by program?

    I have reviewed the articles on the massive compilation of the directory, or mass compiles all VI within the project (requires a certain amount of overhead).

    It doesn't seem to be an invoke node that when you have a reference to the project, will allow you mass compile the project.  No article on point as far as I can tell.

    A follow-up question would be, is it better to mass compile the directory of a project, or each of the files in a project?

    Operation 'Save all' on the project will be enough for what you need? If so, it is a hidden gem for this:

    VI.lib\Utility\EditLVProj\Save all Project.vi this

    "Save all" and compile mass have some subtle differences, but if a "save all" will do for you that VI should be all you need.

  • BlackBerry smartphones abandon the Roxio software? Is mass storage the best method for transferring multimedia files

    Should I give up on Roxio software and rely solely on the method of mass storage to transfer media files?

    I reinstalled several times the software, but whenever I try to use the Roxio Media Manager on my PC max CPU usage of on 100% and dies. Once, he worked - and as posted here by someone else, it seem very good - but each others times it just hangs.

    After reading now widely through this site and several others, it seems there are serious issues with Roxio. So my question for those of you with BB9000 more time under your belt: do I persevere with Roxio or give up and just rely on mass storage? It looks not pretty, but I moved ringtones, video and photographs around smoothly.

    Am I losing on the compression features in Roxio which I don't get mass storage? If this isn't the case, then my inclination is going to be drop Roxio and stick with mass memory until they fix the bugs or I see on this site a better way.

    Thanks to bifocals. I used the MediaSync before and Yes you are right, this works very well for the music. I was hoping to use the Roxio to transfer (and compression) files of images, photos digital high resolution of small files just for occasional display on the BlackBerry. Œuvres drag / move, but I cannot copy a lot of pictures. Not sure if it is a compression problem or if I just need a bigger memory card? I'll keep experimenting. I hope BB/Roxio will receive enough complaints sort...

    Thanks for the reply. Happy ' 09.

  • Find the source of the massive compilation errors

    Hi all

    I am trying to determine the source of the errors on a generation of RT and therefore a massive to remove compilation live broken and unused running the project is important enough, so the output from compilation of mass is large.  One thing I am struggling with trying to determine * why * an error.  For example, I get a few CompileFile: error 7, which indicates that something is looking for a file that does not exist.  How can I determine which leader is the search for the missing file?  I've attached the output from the massive compilation, but also a python file that I use to interpret the files to find errors.

    On another note about this file - what I'm doing with the release of Bad VI/Subvi?  It almost seems as if he is allowed to disregard this output.

    Any help is welcome. At soon cirrus

    (okay, that I'm lame but you are not allowed to attach python so here is the script below)

    line = f.readline () .strip)
    I = 0 # track the error number
    j = 0 # track the line number
    # Only goes to find the first 30 records

    s = line [0:3]
    j += 1

    otherwise (s == ' # ' or s == 'ISP' or s == 'Sea' or s == "(C:"):
    I += 1 # increment the error
    Print (STR (i) + "[" + str (j) + ' "].") + line)
    line = f.readline () .strip)
    f.Close)

    Thank you, udka.

    In fact, I came across the easy solution (although there is always only one instance dangling out there that I can't explain).  Simply

    1. Create a new project
    2. Add a snapshot of the file you want to compile mass

    If you lack the screws in the massive compilation, these will appear in the missing build dependencies and you can know who is dependent on them.

    About the wrong screw - it is difficult to know if this could be due to the fact that the compilation of mass occurs on local and he can't find the RT del VI (since it is not on the RT system).  Whatever it is, I'm building again to see if I have an exe works on the RT system (the reason why I was making the massive compilation has been a failure on the exe - not when you build, but when running).  I have attached my log of recent massive compilation for the comparison of what I started with.

  • Is it possible to create a Local administrator user when you use the Profile Manager to get the configuration settings

    We are studying the use of the Profile Manager of OS X as a way to manage our Enterprise macs.

    One of the demands made by the team, is to create an administrator user, as part of the OS X Profile which is lowered to the customer. The rationale is that this would be a way for the it team get, if the fubar user had their Mac

    I did not see this anywhere in the configuration options of the Profile Manager and so ask the people who use it as part of their everyday Toolbox, to find out if such an option is available.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Madan failed

    No, not with the Profile Manager.

    How you deploying your company Mac?  As institutionally imagery or as BYOD devices?  If image, then the image should contain a coherent local administrator account.  If the active image also the Apple Remote Desktop or SSH, you have a method of mass, control and manage the devices.  If BYOD style, then you are out of luck that the end user is the only one with the key of the device.

    You can take a look at following JAMF Casper.  Once devices are registered, you have the possibility to create accounts (However the common method is to create an account on registration).  If you deploy a BYOD approach, you should also look into DEP program Apple (https://deploy.apple.com) as more DEP JAMF (or other MDM) is a very powerful tool for light to zero touch deployment of systems.

  • Error 1 has occurred to C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\VideoMASTER\bin\VideoMASTER.dll\Check Size.vi of data

    Ok... Seriously I'm banging my head against the wall here.

    I'm using LabVIEW 2011 SP1.  VideoMASTER 3.1!  I have compiled mass screw on the 2011 folder.  It does nothing good.  2 machines to put up with the same versions of LV and VMS.

    I use the VBF in Image file VI niVMS to convert .vbf files to jpg.  I browse to folder of waveforms in the public domain for VideoMASTER and select the native C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\VideoMASTER\Waveforms\480p RGB OmniGen.vbf file.  I then monostable it in the same folder as the jpg file.  I get the following error:

    "Error 1 occurred in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\VideoMASTER\bin\VideoMASTER.dll\Check Size.vi of data.

    Possible reasons:

    =========================
    NOR-488: command requires GPIB controller charge controller. »

    On computer A, I do NOT get this error (in fact, everything works fine for all files).

    On computer B, I get the error.

    Do the same for the vbf HDMI file in the folder of waveforms and it works very well.

    Do the same for the 480 p file, but a bmp file and no error, however the bmp file is corrupted with no data.

    I need to know what is happening in the bowels of this dll.  Maybe I'm missing a codec on Machine B?  It seems that I'm missing a dependency for this file type.  If so how would I know which?  VMS I reinstalled several times.  I copied the dll over the Machine A.  I checked is NOT a licensing problem.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Jigg, with some quick research, it seems that the accident that you see can be related to do not call the niVMS function initialize before VBF to picture file feature.  Please try to run each of the screws after the launch of LabVIEW 2011 and see if you get the same results, and also adding the Initialize works in your code solves the problem.  If so, it seems that it will be your workaround solution, but we will also file a bug report; crash is not an expected way to treat this condition.

    Edit: Also, if you have other versions of LabVIEW, 2012, etc., which you can compare run this code, we would be interested in the results.

  • reference Subvi model VI deployed

    Hi all

    We use about 50 testsequences with TestStand 4.1.1 and LabVIEW 8.5. The development is made with LabVIEW and TestStand, production uses the runtime TestStand.

    Our reference libraries vi vi: for example "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\vi.lib\Utility\error.llb\Clear Errors.vi. After development, we are deploying our testsequences on a network share, so the production of PC can run them through the TestStand Runtime. The references to "program files" are deployed in a folder... / SupportVIs for the production of PC can find these references, since they do not have the folder "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 8.5\vi.lib.

    Some vi is reused in new testsequences and copied in the folder /NI_Labview of the testsequence. To check for errors before deploying, I run the option "compile mass" (Labview-> tools-> Advanced-> mass compile...) for the real testsequence /NI_Labview folder. The exit of the mass 'compile' contains odd messages:

    # Mass compilation of departure: make April 28, 2016 09:07:24

    LabVIEW search references Subvi in deployments of our teststand files!

    Using the massive compilation option, I broke a teststand deployment model vi. I want to avoid this scenario not to affect production in the compilation/deployment of a new testsequence.

    If I look at LabVIEW-> tools-> Options-> paths-> VI search path, I get the following:

    \*

    \*

    \*

    \*

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\resource

    Why prefer labview reference in lieu the deployed model vi VI in the | vilib | folder? It's because of 'S:\Teststand models\' in ?

    Can I avoid labview vi deployed SEO? Can I edit/clear ?

    Is there a built in option to view all the Subvi their paths? Or what I need to build it myself? I found this http://www.ni.com/example/27094/en/ vi which looks like a good start.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Stef,

    your search paths are used top-down. Get your way s sought firstly, including subfolders. As your list of . VILIB is searched only after these two. On my installation, I even deleted the list, since it caused me troble on a regular basis.

    What I don't understand: do you want to change the deployed screws or you are working on a development project?

    Hey Louisa,

    You said that everything has been recompiled mass but you can double-check to ensure that VI does not have an arrow broken execution? The error occurs generally when the VI is corrupted if you just double could check that. In addition, what is your LabVIEW card on? Could you try to have the "Automatic Detection" runtime LabVIEW adapter and see if the VI can browse the autodected one? Furthermore, what exactly is happening in this VI? Is it TestStand API calls, any call to network variables, any typedefs, etc..  If you get any errors again when you do this, please post them on the forum.

  • Problems after editing a Subvi containing a group of dynamic user events

    Hello

    I like the dynamic events in graphical interfaces as a means of code reuse. But this can lead to recording a lot of dynamic events. To handle this, I have a Subvi, which saves them for me. A typical looks like this:

    Can I use it something like this...

    The first time I do it, it works really well and keeps my code (relatively) pad. The problem that I have met a few times is changing the Subvi. Suppose I have add a new event. Now my "Event Registration refnum' and 'User events' cluster outputs are broken. No problem: remove those, create new ones, bind them to the output terminals. Fine. Now go to the appellant. Maybe I again to clear some unwanted and rewire here and there due to type definitions. Cool, actually. Regard to the block diagram is, that everything will be OK at this stage; There is no broken wires. However, there always pesky errors saying "generate the user event: contains terminal unwired or bad.

    It's obviously some kind of conflict def guy in a mask. I'll generally through the entire schema tearing wires, knots, generate screws of user event, event loops, cluster unbundlers, works. So I have this code all back in hand. This arrow always gray. I'm going to compile mass once or twice. Still a no-go. Make a new VI and copy the code in there. The same problem.

    I have encountered this problem several times and don't think I've ever hit to the solution. Finally, I just go back to before the changes and give up.

    Any idea what's going on? How to get it out?

    Thank you

    Nick

    The error is because the Terminal event data are left not connected to generate the user event which is Terminal type required: https://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/glang/generate_user_event/

    As you have to connect to the Web of Keithley site to download the drivers, I have attached to them.

    The drivers are provided with VISAS, so I don't expect upgrade problems around 2012.  The thing I noticed is that the files are set to read-only.  Disable via Windows Explorer so that you can compile mass screw before use.
