• Problems with the old version of Acrobat?

  I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so feel free to another place direct me.

  I created an Access application that uses a database as a source to create emails with attached custom PDF Forms. Everything works fine on my PC but when I tried to apply it on the target machine, everything turned to custard. When I try to run I get the message "no Acrobat serial number valid. found Acrobat stops now. »

  I see that I have all the correct references. The only difference between the two environments is home, I have Acrobat 9 and the target has Acrobat 7. I looked on the web, but none of the sites I've found seems to fit my situation.

  I guess Acrobat 7 is too old, but go to the DC Acrobat subscription is not really an option.

  Can anyone offer suggestions/ideas?

  Thanks for the replies. I've got it sorted. After watching a little more closely and did a little more research, I discovered that the issue has been entirely with Acrobat 7. This situation seems to occur when you install a later version of Acrobat (same drive). It's more complex than that, but it's essential. He never appeared in the normal course of events because these days, they (the club I belong to and made the application for) use Reader to read the files PDF and CutePDF to print to PDF. All this turned to custard when I tried to call the API of Acrobat. I had to uninstall Acrobat 7 and try to reinstall it from the original CS2 diskettes. Because it is so old the activation server no longer. However Adobe gives links to versions that can be installed without activation until you have a valid serial number. Good I thought.   -Downloaded the latest installer of serial number of: download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI or X and installed with it.

  The problem persists.

  The machine is online.  On the login screen, the user chooses to connect now.  Launch of Acrobat IS NOT successfully, but rather closes without error and without registration of the facility.

  I think that this series of events is not technically a 'solution' as a workaround solution usually involves the product of work after work around the problem.

  This issue is constantly itchy and will become problematic as the dozen multiple computers that are running a version of Acrobat Pro must be replaced and the new, non-functioning software installed.

  A next resolution would be appreciated,

  Okay, so I made a second attempt, this time:

  1: uninstall all products (including non-pro versions) adobe acrobat, and then restart the computer.

  2: go to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\, here you need to rename the folder named "SLStore" "SLStore_old" or you can use any name of your choice. (Please note: ProgramData is a hidden folder and you may not be able to see it.) Make sure that hidden files do not appear on your computer, you can follow this link to the same thing: Show hidden - files-Windows help)

  3: go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all the files and folder in this folder. Make sure that you do not remove the SLCache itself.

  4: go to:-C:-users- \AppData \Local-Adobe-OOBE, delete this folder.  I also deleted the folder % userprofile%\AppData\Local, % userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow, %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming Acrobat

  5: used CCleaner to clean the registry references

  6: reboot

  7: install Acrobat DC when you're connected to the internet by using the last installation program downloaded, before the serial number when prompted.

  8: restart the computer without launching Acrobat DC.

  9: launch acrobat DC, connect you with the Adobe account, accept the license terms

  10: (again) invited me for the serial number.  Serial number entered.

  At this point, the program successfully launched.  Although I can't say for sure what's the difference between the first and second attempt.

  I am wary uninstaller expatriates registry references which do not crushed on re - install?  Restarting Windows 98 - style persistent may also have changed things.

  However, this kind of unpredictable behavior has been the standard for all of our DC Pro Acrobat installs.  Some work very well on the first try, others take 3 or more, some take the above list to play with hidden files and registry entries to work.

  Thank you for your help, however, I hope the installation for versions of serial number becomes more standardized and less unpredictable with future updates, it takes a lot of time for those of us with a selective use Adobe programs in an enterprise environment.

  I bought a full commercial version sealed Acrobat Pro XI and when I try to record on my Adobe account, I received an error message indicating that the serial number is not valid.  How is that possible?  What are my options?

  For the most part No. It is very convenient for use from an iPad or other tablet. If you have a SUBSCRIPTION to Acrobat, PDF Pack is thrown.

  You can get older versions of the reader here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader

  And even more ancient here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/win/

  You must keep in mind, however, that these versions are not compatible with any current operating system (Reader 9 was last compatible with Windows 7, for example), so you can have all sorts of weird problems. I don't think that this requirement is valid. Any (valid) old file should work with XI player and possibly also with the latest version of DC.

  Your system does not meet the requirements for Acrobat Pro DC.  As you say, you have OS X 10.7, but Acrobat DC requires at least OS X 10.9.  I don't know if they still sell Acrobat Pro XI, but that's probably what you get.

• Adobe Reader DC on Mac (OS 10.11.3 Capitan) accidents accidents accidents... I had to download older version of Acrobat in order to open the files.  Any advice?

  After tinkering for a few hours, I am now able to open PDF with Adobe Acrobat documents.  I had to uninstall the CD player and do some archeology to download an older version.  The CD player continually crashed.  I'd appreciate an upgrade if it would work. Others have this problem?
