VI recorder: point decimal / comma

Hello

I use VI Logger (MAX 3.1.1.3004) to acquire the temperature (8 thermocouples). I have some problems when exporting data to excel. Indeed, the decimals are separated by a comma, that excellent sees as a field delimiter. Of course, if I export a txt file, then open it with Excel, so I can choose my field delimiter and once the file opens I can replace all the commas with dots. But this acquisition system must be used in the production, so I'd rather have the Excel live export job. If I could change the decimal to a point, it would solve my problem.

By other hand tools > User Preferences is grey. Is it normal that I can't get to him, I should have admin rights?

Thanks in advance

Aude,

Have you also changed it to r to see what is happening? They use a point too.

What Style do you use in the export settings?

What version of VI Logger do you use?

  • SQL Loader with decimal comma

    Dear all,

    I am loading data for a German client and the files shipped contain numeric data with decimal comma. For example 123.5 instead of 123.5

    I've been Googling like crazy on this one and there is a lot of chatter on the definition of NLS_LANG and/or NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS, but none of this seems to work in the environment SQL Loader.

    I guess I'll end up tinkering together something complicated with TO_NUMBER or another function, but I really can't believe SQL Loader isn't a simple switch to return semicolon.

    Or I forgot something?

    Advice would be a great help.

    Kind regards
    Alan Searle

    You can use something like:

    Load data
    INFILE...
    BadFile...
    ....
    fields completed by...
    (
    ...
    col1 "translate (: col1, ','.')", ".
    ...
    )

  • point and comma separate values decimals

    Hello

    I have trouble getting the right values when converting decimal floating-point string...

    I record my annotations (string values) in a BDF file format + and sometimes the recording device is a Dutchman, writes decimal wit separated a comma like this: 5 678, but sometimes they record in the USA and then I get 5,678

    Now I want to convert my string in decimal values floating (single) point is possible, that the converter accepts values and allways converted using the Dutch annotation with a comma?

    Best regards

    It solved!

    Maybe there's a better way?

  • members of contour Essbase by adding the point decimal, then zero

    I created members in essbase outline, the members are created, but it automatically adds a decimal point and the number of zeros after the member name? any solution to create a numbered with decimal points member name?

    My guess is that you use an excel file to create the file used for the construction of the dimension. If so, when you import a csv file it will convert the names of the members of digital to digital quantities, you must format the data or convert text columns

  • Keep the data on the record points and serve the rest

    Hello world!

    I think somehow either CompressWorkspace [tree] or PurgeTable what we want to do, but somehow I don't see exactly how...

    Here's our situation: the admin of our customer demand can create backup points. He made what is called "data freezing" happens a few times a year (3-4).

    The database is created using WO_OVERWRITE to keep a track full edit. However, for older data we now to just keep recording data and delete what that it is between the two. Only for the most recent backup points, we always want to keep the complete history. Is there a way to do this?

    To clarify things, with some text-Art, this might look like this for 5 Savepoints SP1... SP5:

    [SP1]-[SP2]-[SP3] hhh [SP4] [SP5] of hhh hhh [LATER]

    where - means "no historical data here" and "hhh" means "here for historical data.

    My first guess was the CompressWorkspace procedure, but if I give two points for first registration is deleted. What we want to do is give two points of record, have deleted all the data of the history between the two and keep both the backup points. In the example above, we would like to compress between SP1 and SP2 the SP2 and SP3.

    Note: the database will be migrated soon to 11 GR 2, so all the features of the OWM until this version can be used for a solution.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,

    You don't want to use CompressWorkspace.  Specify the backup even point to firstSP and secondSP and the parameter compress_view_wo_overwrite set to true.  Thus, for example:

    SQL > dbms_wm.compressworkspace exec ('LIVE', true, "SP1", "SP1");

    This should be done for each backup point where you want to delete the history.  The procedure would remove all lines for each primary key value, with the exception of the most recent in the backup point.  It cannot be done on a variety of checkpoints at the same time, as that would remove the previous save points, as you pointed out.

    Kind regards

  • Point decimal answers into question every choice filter

    I ran into a question of answers with decimal points, appearing in the filter all the choices, even if the properties of column for the criteria indicate 0 decimal places. The results back to the criteria does not return a decimal that is the goal. The column is defined as a DOUBLE in the rdp protocol being the column of database data type number with a length of 10 - NUMBER (10). The generated response query does not return the decimal points in SQL * more. Has anyone came across this and have a work around?

    According to me, can you check the fx from the command prompt and to cast as an int and then check, let me know if you continue to see decimal results.

  • Series read the analysis of the data works fine, but the polarity and point decimal placement does not

    I'm new to labview and work on a project that accepts the biotic data. I have read the information and analysis data correctly but when I try to set up the number the polarity and decimal pt do not seem to be correct. When the polarity is negative, a 1, the number that came out is positive. I have posted before and was invited to use the concatenation and the power of 10 and I wonder if it's okay. Should I be looking for the 1 (negative bit) and negate the number at the end before the release?

    I have another question: how to accept a number between the touch screen and just write this number in an output file? I searched in the help and online but found no example.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I have included my vi.

    Thank you

    I'm sorry, I apologize. I thought since it was a new problem to a new position. I've corrected the problems mentioned in this post me. Oh and when I created the project/vi I created it as a touch panel.

    Thanks again.

    Hello

    CONNECTION BY ordering the release, so that the children come immediately after their parents.

    If you SEPARATE the outcomes, so we know not what order the results are in.  You can get the resutls you purely by chance, especially in a small set of data, but it is still just a coincidence.

    I think you need something like this:

    WITH distinct_data AS

    (

    SELECT DISTINCT entity

    next_entity

    FROM the data

    )

    tree AS

    (

    SELECT entity

    next_entity

    ROWNUM AS r_num

    OF distinct_data

    START WITH entity = "A".

    Entity = next_entity PRIOR CONNECTION

    )

    SELECT t.entity

    t.next_entity

    d.datum

    TREE t

    JOINING data d = d.next_entity t.next_entity

    ORDER BY r_num

    ;

    Here, the SEPARATE operation is done before CONNECT you, so you don't have to worry about destroying the order of the CONNECT BY query.

    You use SQL * more your front end?

    SQL * Plus has a fixed width to display all columns. The default for numbers is 10 characters. If necessary, SQL * Plus will be round a number or the use of scientific notation, to represent the number of the expected number of characters.
    You can use the SQL * more "SET NUMLARGEUR" to change the default view for all the numbers of orders, or "COLUMN" to set a sepcific format in an individual column.
    If you explicitly convert your channel numbers in a query, SQL * Plus adjusts the column width to whatever is needed. For example

    SELECT  TO_CHAR (fee_amt, 'TM')     AS fee_amt_d

    "TM" is the default format; You can call TO_CHAR with a single argument, if you prefer.
