victim of software counterfeiting?
I have windows 7 (updated about 1 year ago). All of a sudden I get messages saying that I'm victim software counterfeiting and my software is not legitimate. I try to use my product key to ask questions (do it on email) but Microsoft won't accept it. I try to activate and Microsoft say my product key has been blocked. Anyone has any ideas. because my product key is now blocked Microsoft want to pay $ 50 just to chat with them which is ridiculous.

You may be a victim of software counterfeiting error
My father had the same Dell computer for a couple of years now and never had a problem with the license. Now, we get the error for counterfeit software. The Windows updates won't run no more, and go to the posting form led to an offer to purchase for Windows 7.
I tried uninstall for December 2014 patch, such as recommended in other posts on this subject and that has not worked for me.
They have recently installed the trial version of Avast which expires in 8 days, do not know if they are related but another antivirus post information requested.

You may be victim of software counterfeiting
I bought a Gateway computer brand new, comes with Windows 7 family and Norton Antivirus/Internet BJs Wholesale Club protection. I did the updates of Windows for a month without problem and then received this warning (the title of this thread) and when I followed links to fix, he learned from Windows that my software is not genuine. I signed up to Windows 7 and it's genuinne then!
My research came up with solutions for people who have some bootleg Windows 7 but I guess that Gateway has a legitimate software. When I contacted them, they said I should use the recovery disk and get a new start and blamed the last Windows Update. They advised to not to make the updates which seems ridiculous! I don't want to delete all my data after a month...
NAV has been running constantly and only found cookies trachking.

N/AYou use a license key in Volme - and this key usage has been limited to one region, probably because the owner of the key or MS has noticed that the key was abused, but the owner has too many devices in this area to be able to easily change the key or the operating system on all, so they opted for the more expensive option.
