Video card slot compatibility PCE-1 16 PCE, PCE-16, 2

I have a car video of the race G6150LE of the a1710n flag on a mobo Asus A3M2N-LA/HP Nobus. The video slot machine is marked
PCE-1.  Question: even if a 16 PCE and PCE - 1 video cards have VERY different plug-ins, the highest card can still be used
in a PCE - 1 slot?  There is a huge difference in price between the old and new types - the oldest being more $$$.  I have also
be aware that there will be a success in performance, even if the card-16 may be retro-compatible.  Power supply is not a problem - it is to be
updated as well.  Ideas? Opinions? Facts?   Thank you

RAD, here is a link to the pages "Product card" for your computer:

Good news.  The location on your motherboard is PCIEX16.  If you look at the specifications in the "card mother specifications" and the section called expansion slots, that's what he said:

Expansion slots

  • Three PCI slots
  • A PCI Express x 16 graphics card

As you can see, the label on the slot in the scheme of the motherboard is incorrect.

No, a PCIEX16 card cannot be used in a PCIEX1 slot.  Of course, you don't have to worry that any further.

What is the brand and the power of FOOD you buy?  In addition, what will do with your computer?  This will help us to make recommendations on the cards.

I struggled to get my PE10 to work properly. When I load the camcorder. MTS files into a new project for editing, the first image displays OK but then freezes, i.e. will not play video. Various forums point to the driver NVidia with PE10 incompatibility and claim that the versions of the old drivers (e.g.320.xx) may work. I tried to install these drivers but without success. My question is: if I upgrade to a later version of the EP, I'm likely to have the same problem? That is to say, is the incompatibility of the PE10 and NVidia drivers a known issue that has been resolved in later versions of PE?

  • HP Compaq dx2400 microtour format: video card - motherboard compatibility

Hi, first I want to sorry my bad English because I'm Romanian.

My question is: I have a HP Compaq dx2400 microtour and I want to know if AMD R7 240 1 GB ddr5 Sapphire, it will be able to run on my pc.

    Thanks in advance!

    Stefan, welcome to the forum.

I was able to understand exactly what you need.  Your English is no problem.

Here is the Service reference Guide to the computer.  It will give you all the information you need.  On Page 104, it has information on the power supply unit (PSU).  It is 300 w which is not enough to feed the video card you want to buy.  Also, I think that the card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.

Your best options would be to contact the manufacturer Technical Support to see what they have to say.  If this card will not work, they should be able to tell you which of their cards will work.  They will need some information in the document I have provided.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Vista screensaver stopped working because it requires a newer video card or Direct 3D compatibility

Windows Vista Professional Home: The resolution changed by itself, when I restored it to the original setting, the screen saver stopped working because it requires a newer video card or compatibility with Direct 3D. Nothing has changed on my system over the past two years, and everything worked well. That's happened? Why I get this message? Thanks LS

    Thanks for the reply.

Based on your response, it seems that the display driver has been corrupted by a reason, then I suggest you to install the latest display driver. Even if you do not use Direct 3D I recommended to leave the computer updated with the latest drivers that are released by the manufacturer of the computer so that it can run Windows features correctly.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • What type of video card? PCI, PCI Express or AGP?

I have a new hp a6647c and you want to use two monitors. I need a new monitor VGA video dualistic structure. A store asked me what type of Governing Council would hold in my computer, CPI, CPI Express or AGP.  So, how can I determine which Board is necessary for my hp 6647?

    Here are the specs:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01559155

You can not use an AGP card. There is no AGP slot. You have an open pci express x 16 video card slot and a pci slot. You may in fact theoretically have three monitors; two ducts by a dual PCI express head and a third led by a pci video card. If you plug a video card into one of the expansion slots, you will lose the onboard video capability.

  • Can satellite L300D - I change the video card?

    Hello world

I am not satisfied with the performance of my video card. I have a Satellite L300D, with 2 Ati Radeon X 1250.
Can someone tell me if it is possible to remove these video cards, or remove 1 and put another one in it? Or simply add one and what is a good video card for this laptop?

There is no video card in this model, its fixed on the motherboard. In addition, there is no standard on laptops video card slot, so you would not be able to update anyway. That's because laptops are compact and their cooling system must be custom designed following the power of the VGA chip. The laptop could overheat or cause other problems power if a more powerful graphics card was installed.

So your only option is to sell the laptop and buy a model designed for the game, such as the P300 or P500, or maybe an A300 model with decent dedicated nVidia or ATI graphics.

and im trying to upgrade the video card. I am afraid that the motherboard has only PCI Express x 1 slots. I can only put PCI Express x 1 video card in it? The specs of the PC only say available PCI slots, but the current video card slot is not mentioned. Is there anyway I can find out what the current video card slot? Thanks advance!

    Your link with Best Buy is not valid. Please check that this Best Buy link and this link desktop HP ENVY h8-1534 refer you the computer you bought. If they are correct, this model supports;

    A PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0)
Three PCI Express x 1 (Gen 2.0) connectors
A PCI Express mini card (for plug-in software component half-length cards) with USB connector

and already a discreet Eyefinity of AMD Radeon HD 7570 DDR3 2 GB graphics card installed at the factory.

  • HP m8000: unrecognized in the PCI-Express x 16 slot video card.

I am upgrading to a former m8000. Hp already put a new 750 watt PSU in it Corsair and it does not always recognize any of 3 pci-e video cards I've tried. I already went into the bios and changed the video settings to pci-e and still nothing. Is there only certain video cards compatible with this thing or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

This is because the latest gen video card is compatible with UEFI BIOS, not the legacy BIOS that has your PC.

The BIOS legacy do not see it as a gift.

You will need a video card that only inherited BIOS compatibility or that has a switch that allows you to group compatibility legacy BIOS and UEFI BIOS.   Sapphiretech of the 200 series r7 r9-300 series video cards meet the criterion.

  • Video card double slot.

Hello, so I have a hp p7 1226 s and I wanted to install a ti gtx 650 or a radeon 7770. The poroblem is that they are both cards double slot. When I was last upgrade of the gpu in this Office I noticed that the second location may not reach easy to remove. I was wondering if the second location is removable, or if anyone could tell me how to remove the second cover of the location. I see it has an icon of a screwdriver on the back of it, but the problem is that I don't know where is the screw if it is on the second slot. I'm eagerly looking for information but nothing to really is as far as I can see on the internet, so I came here hoping that someone knew how to remove or if you can remove the second slot cover on the back. I really hope there is a way to remove it, otherwise it will be a big problem for me separator because I'll have to buy a new case so that I can hold a video card double slot for this pc.

    Hello

The leg split with the screwdriver on it requires a screwdriver to be inserted in a slot in and waved the screwdriver back.  Do it a few times and then move to another location on the baracket and repeat the process. Subsequently the support stands.

I find it interesting that adjacent the bracket with the slot PCI-E x 16 slot support seems to be a fixed location as something occupies the PCI-E x 1 slot internally.  Is this the case?  Sometimes the media raise just to the top and outside according to the PC.

The ONLY way (even with the Compatibility Center) to make sure a video card is actually compatible and supported by its manufacturer is to check with the video card manufacturer themselves.

As long as he is still on the PCI slot open, it should work.  Just FYI, PCI video cards will not and can not give similar performance as a PCIExpress card.  Also FYI, this card isn't much of a video card.  If it was me I would spend on this card, there is a reason for "GRAND Prize" - no one will want to buy it.  A PCIExpress card that will work better can be bought for less than US $50.00 just for example http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%204025&IsNodeId=1&name=%2425%20-%20%2450

Yes the supported list is just what Adobe has tested at home. There is no restriction of performance based on the supported list.
