Video Communications Server "off call an impact."

I work with video Communications Server 8.1 and Lync 2013 trying to get them to work well together in a lab environment. In demo mode, the number of calls of course in demo mode is defined for a single call of course, a non-traversal call and three inscriptions. When I make a call between the two environments, in the system logs, I can see my Tandberg user successfully finding my user Lync in a test call. I see so two followed indicating error messages that the "resource unavailable - call resources" and "temporarily unavailable".

It seems that I have at least a part of this correct installation (according to Cisco Tandberg and LYnc for VCS 8.1 configuration guide), but the demo license can prevent a successful of the set up call. Anyone can check it please what I see and my assumption is correct but also suggest where I can get a 30 day trial or something similar license that will allow me to use this environment?

You did not mention how you have your registered your VCS - end point is H.323 or SIP or double registered?

A VCS-> Lync appeal would use a traversal license.  This call is a SIP call, if your endpoint is H.323 endpoint, you need another license of crossing to the H.323-> SIP Interoperability - so it would be two crossed licenses (and the demo has only one).

If you save your end point with SIP rather than H.323 for VCS, this should remove the interoperability (and reduce the permits required by one) so you should then be able to make a call (although without the authorization of "Microsoft Interoperability", you can still not get things 100% working).

    I plugged the Flash Communication Server and I am able to load the flv files. However when I try to use the FLVPlaybackComponet, nothing happens just on the preloader. I use 'rtmp://webaddress/moviefolder' in the components Inspector content path field. I am interested to use for video playback controls that are included in the FLVPlaybackComponet.

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I was able to get the video to display after:
    (1) download the file main.asc Macromedia Flash C:\Program 8\Samples and Tutorials\Samples\Components\FLVPlayback\main.asc in the FCS.
    (2) restart the server

    In the components Inspector, I used rtmp://webaddress/moviefolder/video.flv and displayed video!

  • NStar Communications Server closing

    The Dbase servers, server archives and calendar remain in place and running, but almost daily Communications server stops.

    Unfortunately I can't give you a precise answer, but I know very well that if you use display for laptop and external monitor or projector at the same time, it is possible that DVD movie or video applications will be displayed on LCD.

    Try please go to an external device only and after that left the movie DVD or Power Point presentation.

    I am currently working on a Cisco 2911 running 15.2 (4) M5, which is the version 9.1 of the CME.  I'm having a problem calls out from the 9971 phone that I registered.  When I dial, the phone is just sitting there and finally times out with a quick availability after a few minutes.  I currently have the 'video' and 'camera' commands configured under "global register of the voice" and "voice register pool" to enable video on the phone.

    I found that when these two orders are deleted, I am able to make outgoing calls from your phone.  I wonder if it is a bug in the version of MAN I'm running or whether it is simply an error of configuration on my part from somewhere.

    It really looks like a bug to me.  I have no access to internal tools, but did an external search for you.

    Hello smitty195,

    You should be able to add a pause in the number you are composition by pressing on the ' * ' button 2 times, this will add a ' - '. If you need a longer break just add another '-' (if your number may look like 55 - 555-555-5 or somesuch).

    Alternatively, you can connect a phone to the back of the fax and allows to dial the number, then press Start Fax when you hear the fax at the other end.
