  • HP Pavilion dv4130us - requires the video controller driver to clear the problem of Device Manager

Any help would be appreciated. Have owned the laptop since birth. Update memory & HDD for patches of bloatware to Uncle Bill. Naoual need a video driver to resolve the problem of video hardware acceleration. I tried HP detects online etc, no video is available, would use the XP version, but HP will not install it because it is an unsupported operating system?

    Hello:

I'm not quite clear what operating system you are running.

If you are using XP, you then this video driver:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-52779-1

If you're running Vista, then you need this one.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=2096&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-47264-1

If you are running windows 7, run the Vista driver above. It will error out (give an unsupported OS message, I believe).  Close the error window.

Now, go into your device manager. Click on standard vga controller. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the browse my computer for the software method and navigate to C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and the driver should install.

Graphics card in your PC isn't completely Vista or W7 capable. You should now have hardware acceleration and be able to change your maximum permitted by your LCD screen resolution, but you won't have Aero.

  • Tecra 8100: Can't get high resolution - video controller driver?

    Hello

    Anyone can answer the question?

I have a 8100 Tecra which was under Windows 98. I upgraded to Win2000P but I can't get the right amount of colors or greater than 600 x 800 resolution. Also, I can't load the former driver of BT's broadband services.

In Device Manager, it is required for the video controller (VGA Compatible). I searched the site of Toshiba for a suitable download and can't find something like this.

Does anyone know if the solution to this problem exists on this Web site or if Toshiba can send me a disc with the necessary info.

Another idea of the problem is that it may need a mother board driver, if what can be downloaded?

Sorry if it's vague but I am writing this on behalf of my stepfather, so it is second hand information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    Hey Buddy

Looks like you a little confused re.
I think I can help you

So to me it looks like a missing display driver. What do you think?
Did you install the display driver for W2k?

On the European Toshiba driver page I found a drivers needed for W2k and the display driver is also available.
There are 2 display drivers, so check everything first to support it.

You mentioned the driver BT broadband. Did you mean Bluetooth?
To my knowledge this device does not have Bluetooth support.

My graphics card is ATI Radeon X 300.

    Hello

Driver can be downloaded from Toshiba support page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads but under product type, you must choose the option ARCHIVE.

The strange thing is that you wrote that your laptop has ATI graphics inside card.
    Are you sure about that?

  • A115-s3094 satellite: need video controller XP driver

    Hello

    Can anyone help?

I was on my laptop and my son accidentally deleted a video driver or video controller, and I can't do it because I don't have a CD with the drivers on it, or a backup copy. The thing is I could use the laptop, but once I stopped it the only thing that I get now is the background image of the theme but all my files are gone and nothing else comes up.

I think I tried everything but I can't get anywhere with it, my laptop is a Toshiba 115-s3094 it is using Windows XP Media.
Model no.psmb0u... If anyone can help I appreciate it really or even let me know where and what driver to download that I can use my mates comp...

    See you soon.

Yes, kody is right. The A115-s3094 Satellite seems to definitely be a series of portable computers in the United States and the link posted by kody should you point the graphics driver on the right.
After a download you must decompress the driver package.
Then go to the Device Manager, choose the graphics card and reinstall the graphics driver.

also have a problem installing HP support Assistant, the error message saying that I do not meet the min requirements?

any help would me much appreciated

    Hello:

The video card is not windows vista or windows 7 capable.

I can give you the link for a driver that should allow you to change the resolution of your screen and select the graphics acceleration.

What you have not and will never have is Aero, unless you purchase a Windows 7 capable PCIe compatible video card with the model.

So, this gives a try if you want.  You must install it via the back door...

    1. download and run the laptop equivalent of the desktop video driver.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=2096&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-47264-1

    2. you will get an error stating in substance that the operating system is not supported.

    3. close the error dialog window.

    4. go to the Device Manager and in the section graphics cards, click on your adapter VGA Standard.

    Click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for the software' and navigate to the driver installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

This file is located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and the driver should install.

Reboot and you should have a pretty decent screen now, just no Aero.

If you are not satisfied with my improvisation, you can get some good cheap used W7 capable video cards on eBay that will work very well with your dc7100 if you want anything fancy.  I have a few recommendations.

Otherwise, proceed again with a Radeon HD4350, that should work perfectly for this model.

  • Radeon HD 3200 video controller driver?

I have successfully demoted the dv7 Presario 1260 US for Win XP Pro.  Everything is installed and works very well with an exception > video controller has a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager.  I followed the main lines in the general XP Downgrade for section 3 > difficult, I used the SATA AHCI driver linked to AMD in the next post.  slipstreamed into nlite as described.  has worked like a charm.  all the strong work of buttons, including the wireless link color and mute buttons and sound bars, which I had trouble with in past situations of decommissioning.

So... now that I have everythign else... can provide you a link to the correct driver for this video controller?  I installed the bridge AMD Catalyst/South/etc. that you had linked.  Also tried searching on AMD but they are insistent drivers come from the laptop to the manufacturer.

Help much appreciated!  I liked the guide...

does not stop trying to list you as just after I posted that I found what worked >

    9 12_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe

the first that did not work, I installed was

    10 1_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu.exe

  • driver for VGA video controller adaptable

    Hi all

I have configured my computer Inspiron 518 to do a dual boot: Windows XP and Windows 7 originally, it came with Windows Vista , and that's what the machine is registered with.  My problem is I'm trying to update the driver for my video controller (VGA adaptable) for Windows XP but support Dell recommends only drivers for Vista.  How to find and download the drivers appropriate for the OS?  Would appreciate any comments on this problem.
    Thank you.

If Dell does not have XP drivers, your best bet/bet is to visit the site of the manufacturer of the chipset for a generic driver.

Check in Windows 7 for the manufacturer and model/chipset in the Device Manager and go to the site looking for XP drivers.
