Video error?

I have what seems to be a video error problem. About six seconds evey screen "blinks." The color of the frame of a dialog box. or any input screen disappears for a second, and then the cycle continues for another six seconds etc. For the second one, no entry is possible. Very frustrating when you make the keyboard or mouse input with the missing letters etc. The pointer of the mouse or the cursor disappears for a second, resulting in permanently re-edition of e-mails, spreadsheets, mouse clicks and so on. If a drop down menu is open, it closes.

This seemed to begin to follow the updating of Windows 8.

How can this be repaired?

Hi Michael,

Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

Good day!

Yesterday, I was so frustrated that I decided that I would take action today. I have a continuous running a HARD drive backup external, so all data changes are immediately sent to the backup, but I decided to do a job of belt and Suspenders before today, recording all the 133 GB of my data files to another disk external DRIVE I have. My intention was to then run the Windows recovery program. Well when I checked on the progress it is 72% transferred and a message came that there was an interruption and the transfer had ceased. I checked on the point she had stopped and selected files remaining to be copied and then continues the transfer.

Next time I checked on the progress, the screen saver is running, which had not happened since the problem started as each interrupt activity is considered, so don't start is not the screen saver. I took this as a good sign, but did not understand why he should be here. The next time I checked on the progress, the screen went sleep, that was another thing that I put to make but didn't, because, once more, the interruptions it wrong in thinking that there is activity.

So, I checked by opening outlook and that is, without interruptions. I didn't bother to do the recovery program and I was able to type this without problem. It bothers me that I don't know what caused it to start and which caused her to stop, but for now, I'll accept that this is not now the case.

Thank you for your response.

    Hello

Sorry, but it is not easy to say why this is happening because your explanation is not good enough. If you use the device without any problem and this message occurs only if you want to start some video files, it may be that this file is the reason for this problem.

As Meier said try to reinstall the display driver.

  • Video error stream TV to a Media Center extender (XBOX 360)

    Hello

I have a PC that I use to record TV, which is accessible by several XBOX 360 through Media center.

This configuration was working perfectly until a few days ago. At the same time, all 3 Xbox has ceased to be able to view the recorded TV programs, or view the Live TV feed. The Media center PC was the victim of a power cut at the time, but seems to work fine.

1 TV live view on media Center PC (CMCP) - works correctly

    2. play Recorded TV on MCPC - works

    3. the screen live TV on xbox - video error

    4. play Recorded TV on xbox - video error

5 video game file imported into Media center via Photos and video Media Center on the Xbox article - works

6 connect the Xbox to another PC, which has also the Media Center on it and play recorded TV program - works

    So far I have tried:

1 restart both MCPC and Xbox.

2 remove the Media Center of the Xbox and reconnect to it.

    3. a new analysis of the signal to re - acquire all channels,

4 using the Windows update to update the video card drivers.

I am reasonably certain that the problem lies in the CMCP, but I'm not sure how to do this by how solve this problem. I have a large amount of data on the machine, so reinstalling is not really an option. AFAIK, new programs recording occurs correctly.

All the drivers, applications, and the windows themselves are fully updated.   The error on the machine logs show no relevant error.  The operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, service pack 2.  Here is a link to the power out of the msinfo32.exe execution on the server.

  • video error in media center, will not play videos or DVDs

I cannot read the DVD, Live TV, or ripped movies in Media Center on my computer (64-bit) of W7. I just upgraded to W7 (64-bit). However, I can play all content in Media Player. I read somewhere that MC uses 64-bit and 32-bit codecs MP codecs. Can I register the 64-bit codec or fix them somehow without completely re - install W7?

I found what was the cause of my video error message in MC. I had to disable the functions of exclusive Mode on the Advanced tab in the Audio properties for my audio device.

    1. right click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of the screen

    2. click on playback devices

    3. Select your audio device by clicking on it.

    4. click on properties, below on the right.

    5. Select the Advanced tab.

    6. the functions of exclusive Mode deselect the option and click on apply.

Who did it for me. Everything works 100% now. Finally!

Hope this helps you or someone else here with the same problem.

Do not rely on such update. 2.7 K is not an ordinary resolution.

You can import 2.7 K in ss14, you can't stabilize.

First Pro CC 2015 to do this.

But if 2.7 K files are introduced into a sequence of 1920 x 1080 you have the same problem, but this problem is corrected by nesting the images first.

  • Video error on Qosmio G10 since the new software

    Hello world

I have a problem with my MCE LiveTV. When I want to watch live TV, then always comes this error:

"Error video - files neede to display video are not installed or not working not properly." Please restart Media Center or restart the computer.
When I follow this order, nothing changes.

I have this problem since I installed new software on my Qosmio G10 yesterday. It's called Magix Video deLuxe 2005/2006. When I uninstalled the new software, Live TV still does not work.
It only works when I have sett my computer back to the time where I have not yet installed Magix Video deLuxe. But then I can't use the new software.
I also tried to reinstalled the video driver and the TV Tuner, but the error is still there.

What can I do now? Please help me

I would say that the software that you install is not compatible with Windows MCE. It is possible and the cause likley. If you have all updates for windows and Magix Video and it still does not work then the problem is with the software application and the no compatibility. The fact that it works before and after roll you back OS proves it.

What are you actually trying to do with the Magix software that Windows can't do?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
    2. do you have any third-party codecs installed on the computer?
    3. what operating system is installed on the computer?

    Method 1
I suggest you to run the fixit from the following link:

    Method 2
In the meantime, download and install MPEG-2 DVD decoders and check if that helps fix the problem:

  • Video error: the files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly. Please restart Windows Media Center...

Please help - it's driving me crazy! I got this to work!

I am using Vista Ultimate and a connection (cat-5) ethernet to an xbox 360 as a Media Extender (via a Linksys router). I get the error of the video:
"The files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly." Please restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer "."

I have a Happauge PVR 150 TV capture card installed, and you want to watch TV and my video files Via the Xbox 360. I can see the guide for lists of TV programs, but not to look at them without getting the message above.  I can also put in place a program to record, display the video thumbnail, but not play. Video files only will play are videos very select few years recorded only where there is.

My graphics card is an ATI 2900XT - 512 MB of ram, with the latest drivers.

I've seen a number of discussions on the web that describes the same (or similar) problem, but none of them seem to have no solution.

I had Norton Internet Security installed and it has since withdrawn because of the firewall. I had thought, it could be a firewall issue, but it is not. I'm now using the Windows Firewall for now.

I deleted and reinstalled the Xbox as an Extender media several times... no help. I have re-installed the complete drivers for the video capture card, it has not helped either. I checked and double-checked the settings on my router as well.

The xbox is set for the share on my multimedia computer. The correct files can also be programmed for sharing.

On the PC in Windows Media Center, I can view the TV programs, record programs etc etc etc all work.

Any help would be really appreciated!

  • Video error - files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly. Please restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer

I have Vista Version 6.0.6002.18030 (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357) SP2 installed during an automatic update.  This box is only used as a Media Center

Now, I get this error when you try to watch HD programming - I get a few seconds of viewing before the image starts to freeze, the acoustic breaks then the error message.
Recorded at stations SD I will often get towards the end of the program, and it starts too break up.
The Analysis ToolPak that I found for the Hauppauge 500 t tuner I have reports that all networks have 70 + strength and 100% quality.
The performance of the Task Manager tab indicates the processor cores ares works at about 25% of capacity
I had a lot of trouble getting the Pioneer BD drive to work - it turned out to be a very minor mistake, a slider maxed out on the Graphics tab "overlay" card - but until I found this he encouraged to re - install the OS from the original DVD and the problem persists.
The system used to work properly and there has been no hardware apart from the Pioneer BD drive changes.
I got ffdshow installed from the beginning, so I don't think that's the problem.

    DVD read OK
BluRay disks play back ok using the Cyberlink plug in BOF VMC
Different types of downloaded files play OK using VLC.  So, I conclude that the (integrated) graphics (latest drivers installed) and in the rest of the material are very good.
Looking through the forums, this seems to be an old problem, but its very curent FRO me and SUPER frustrating.
    The indices of anyone?

    Hello Clement,

    Thanks much for the reply.
I had already downloaded the Tuner card driver on the site yesterday and installed (this is the same version I already had, but he did not seem wrong to re - install).  No change.
I really don't understand well enough codecs!  -are you making allusion to the East no doubt not that the encoding of the input signal software cannot do its job properly?  Are the part of the tuner driver codecs? I could not see them on the website of the tuner (http://www.newmagic.com.au/Support/Hauppauge_Vista_Drivers.html)
Can you please point me in the right direction for the codec pack (btw, I though 'codec packs' were notoriously bad news! and since I recently made a new facility would be not all right codecs be there that they must have been before when everything worked well?)
I have a chart integrated 'card' on the ASUS P5E - VM HDMI, an Intel GMA x 3500 and here too I have the latest driver from the Intel web site.
I think I've found the "MS decoder checkup" utility you mention (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=DE1491AC-0AB6-4990-943D-627E6ADE9FCB&displaylang=en).  I have a Red Cross and green ticks for different decoders but 'Microsoft MPEG-2 Video' (msmpeg2vdec.dll.) decoder is compatible with MCE, but not with MP10.  When selected "update now" button is dimmed.
    Thanks again

  • Windows media player 11 on downloaded videos error "cannot read drive file does not support the file type or does not take in charge the codec used to compress the file.

    • now that the full version of k'lite seems to stop what is happening why hasent windows incorporated something similar in the windows media player 11, or they have another type of codec full, we can use to make this.only so many people have the same problem .please can help you.

    Hi bbdunford,

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file.

You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    (a) the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

    (b) the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

Windows media player will play only the files and videos only if it supports this type of file.

    Method 1

Check if the video file format is supported by Windows media player using the link below.

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

If the files are not supported by Windows media player, then you will need to use a few players from third party that supports this file format.

    Method 2

See the link below for more information on the codec.
