  I ordered a 16 W450 GB yesterday. According to recent studies, it seems that the unit can now get 8-9 hours in marathon mode. I want to use it during a walk of charity (2 days) of 39 miles. Because I won't have access to electrical outlets, I intend to use a micro USB battery charger to recharge the unit that night.
  My question is if my dough becomes weak until I make it to my destination day 1, can I plug into the battery charger supplied without stopping the workout? I would really like to get it all (especially GPS route) saved an a single workout every day.

• T500 fingerprint reader does not load at startup (blue screen)

  I have 2081CTO T500. Provided natively with Vista Home, but I reinstalled with XP Pro SP3. All the latest updates are installed both drivers and windows (as of March 12, 2010).

  I've had this laptop for about a year and the fingerprint reader to work properly. A few months ago it stops working for some reason any and I stoppped using it. I finally had time to reinstall the whole windows and installed. It worked well for about a day, but today I was using my computer and it suddenly froze unanswered. I turned off and when I walk back, the fingerprint sensor would not load and a blue screen came up with an error that a failure to boot and windows kept just restart at this stage and display the same message. I password protected journal and had loaded all ten fingers to use during the connection (not the Welcome screen).

  I tried power cycling, did not work. Subsequently had to connect via safe mode, disable the fingerprint sensor to connect and then reboot in normal mode to be able to connect without the Blue error screen. I tried updating the BIOS, did not work. Reinstalled the sensor of fingerprint, again the same problem. I also reset the fingerprint sensor in the BIOS and reinstalled the software, but still the same problem. Basically now I use the home screen and in this way, that I don't get the Blue error screen. It just continues to show as if the sensor is train load, never happens, so I just put a password and enter. I remember that some months ago, when I had a problem, it was similar. It worked fine, but when I turned off the Welcome screen, I suddenly had a problem with the sensor that was not resolved until I reinstalled windows. Now that I think of it, it could be the same disabling the Welcome screen things screwed up again.

  Could someone please explain what is happening? Why are there so many problems without the windows welcome screen? I know that the sensor works very well because when I am trying to scan my fingers or even connect to Thinkpad security systems, it works fine. It's just windows connect you that is screwed. I can't go back again to work at least with the Welcome screen. I'd appreciate any help.

  After a few bars, I isolated the problem to the personal firewall. I changed the settings and fingerprint reader worked very well. I hope this will help someone in the future.

• Windows Update has messed up my computer...?

  I was going to restart my computer and saw the update windows... so I decided to update my computer so... When windows has finished updating and reloading... He would work for the first minute or so it would freeze... Freeze not literally... but nothing will work and I can still move the mouse but the mouse icon would be stuck in this symbol of loading...   Update on the situation:

  I've posted on several technical forums and 2 of them have been asked to go into SafeMode Add/Remove programs and uninstall then windows updates...

  The problem with that is that my computer does not record the fact that he just installed an update... It is said that the update performed on the computer has been on the 17th of September... the date today here is Sept. 23...

  I was installing Intel chipset drivers and installing, I had a blue error screen IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL, or whatever it was and had to restart.   Yes, Windows can be a bit particular when it comes to system files that are essential, but glad to hear that you guessed it sorted.

  You may need to download the USB drivers on another machine and transfer them via USB stick, or something like that.

  I'm working on a project of e-learning for my business, and the project includes a series of slides "software simulation", where I captured some action (filling out me and submitting a form). While most of the blades is regular blades where the cursor and the text are re-created as an object, there are a few slides that are treated as video slide show. These video slides cause a long wait times and a "loading" message is displayed for about 10 seconds before you continue the presentation (and jump a bit to catch up). It is very distracting and breaks the concentration.

  Video slide show is mainly the parts where I scroll down, or selected a menu item drop-down. After some research, I found that the files are stored in the form of .swf files in my AppData folder. My project is a project of HTML5, I wonder if .swf videos are the question?

  Basically, I want to know if there is a way to eliminate the problem of long load in the middle of the simulation. We organize training on a Web site.

  For the HTML output when I can't avoid a slide video, I will replace the FMR slides (old) with CPVC-slides (video demo). However, this means stop capture, that create the cpvc-slide, then past with the workflow of capture.

• YouTube and WebMs are weird when trying to play automatically (details inside), but using Flash to load videos on websites like DailyMotion works very well.

  It started a few days ago, possibly coinciding with the update to 41.0.1.

  If I upload a video on Youtube, or load a WebM, the video shows that it is set to 'play', as it is supposed to and it loads as usual, but does not in fact, time just 0:00.   Hi, until very recently (was able to look at things such as BBC iplayer and arkvid links to anime and other programs of television, but after September 18 I was unable of videos, youtube content works but most of the others do not seem to work for some reason, I tried to reset firefox, download a new installation of firefox wipe included and tried safe mode system restore along the) I thought it may be a virus or something, but everything works perfectly on another browser, Chrome, IE, safari etc, it's just my main browser firefox which is having issues.

  is it possible to fix it? There is no that show a black screen and slow the entire application down, the mouse pointer starts with just the circle of loading symbol on it, but the mouse pointer flashes and the tabs begin to not respond, it's as if that's too much for the browser for some reason any.

  Also tried to turn off acceleration hardware... really need help with what is annoying to use other browsers when im so used to firefox.

  I went into the plug-ins for Firefox, went into the menu Options for the Shockwave Flash plug-in and disabled Protected Mode.

  For some stupid reason, Protected Mode was the thing causing videos blocked and slowdown.
