Video trim

I noticed that when I cut the video in Photos App on Mac it really don't gripe. I can recover from pad at any time.

it there a way to cut inside the Photo app permanently without export/import videos to Mac

Photos use non-destructive editing, so the original (digital negative) is always maintained without change - you can not change this

  • iMovie iOS video trim problem

Hello. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, latest iOS and the latest version of iMovie. Recently, when I import video clips into iMovie, visually the clips at the bottom of the screen of the iPhone seem to be the same length, even if they are not. I can't adjust the clips. What is a settings problem? Or?

Looks like the scenario might be zoom out. Have you tried "pinch" with two fingers outward in the timeline?  You should see the clips to develop, eventually to a point where their duration may be more obvious.

  • My first is little different from that of the tutorial samples

When I import a video clip picture only 1 appears on the tape. In the tutorial there are many clips and you can pass the ICT for which you want to change. There are a few things which show on the tutorial that I don't have on my screen. Should I uninstall and reinsatll it. I have not only the numbers to put in a dvd. This is the training program I have.

    Thanks for the follow-up.

    Expert opinion.

When you click the icon to the left of the word video film, you get 4 choices of the display style.

    They are

    black horizontal line, no thumbnails

    all thumbnails

thumbnails but only at the beginning and end of the clip

only a label at the beginning of the clip.

Even where the video clip is represented on the timeline in thumbnails across the entire clip, you see not all frames in the clip until to enrich the content of the timeline to maximum with the - + cursor above the timeline.

Looks like you're the 3rd above selected choice. If you want to cut some of the clip, move the timeline indicator and watch the monitor of editing area.

When you see the first place that you want to cut, click the scissors of the stem of the timeline indicator or use the shortcut Ctrl + K. You made a cut in the video instead which is the view in the editing area monitor.

You can watch in the video trimming in its preview window, which is accessible by double-clicking on the thumbnail of the file in the active Expert of the project space.

target = "_blank" a in a new window.

    Makes your onclick javascript.

To fix it, you really need to use one or the other. I'm not suggesting the use of javascript to open the windows because users have different levels of pop-up blockers. target = "_blank" is not blocked by the people.

In addition, each file .swf on your site is invisible to a very large part of mobile device users.

  • trim video/audio display freezes and playback

Why I think started in the version of 2014...

Whenever switching mode trim, even just moving from the heads and tails of jointed together clips... PP video display will freeze, about 75% of the time. The timeline cursor still moves and I can save my project... but there is no video or audio movement.

It will usually come back after some time if I let it sit for 3 to 5 minutes, but I usually quit and restart to avoid it

My screen is currently frozen as I type this...

Not really asking for help, because I really doubt someone will have a viable solution that doesn't involve re - install windows... but it happened on 6 months... Fortunately I did 3d FX for the time, and my editing workload was light enough...

So let's call this a thread/bug of evacuation report if you want... but I'm open to suggestions.

I run several GPU that could be the problem. 2 x GTX 470 and GTX 590... and win 8.1 64... 24 GB of Ram... 6 core i7

    Thank you

Disable Composite preview during the filling, see if this will help.

  • trimming video

    Hello

    the situation

    the situation

two layers video on video 1 and video 2 parallel

in cc 2014 when I cut the video 1 layer (the one that was hidden by the layer video2) the program monitor split in two, and I could see the two layers next to it,

and the layer which has been maintained and cleaned, is one who has played in the program monitor.

in cc2015 when I do the same operation the upper layer was showing on the program monitor and her no mater what layer is ready and rub.

Done that not worth it other users? or just me.

in this 20150707025611 - YouTubevideo, you can see that when I lined 1 video his video show 1 until I get video 2 (00:14), and change the display on the monitor of the program.

is there a solution for this change?

    Thank you

    Moshe

  • How can I view my entire video after I do all this "Trim Comp to work area?

I have cut a video to the work area or something using the B, then N, then right-click, Trim Comp to work area, finished doing what I want to do.

My question is how I perform a zoom out to see the ENTIRE video (outside the cropped area) so I can repeat for the next area?

Once you you ready really trimmed model. You can use the parameters of the model for extend again. Seems to me that you're basically wrong understand something here. It is not necessary to cut anything for example just limit the work area RAM Preview...

  • Trimming video - cannot drop and drag? Help!

    Hello

I'm a novice at this piece of software, and any help would be greatly appreciated. First of all, I have my imported correctly clip and I'm cutting the video. I have selected the two my point in and out point for the smallest bar grey. -The video is truncated, however when I try to drag to the line of time in video 1, trimmed gray bar alone moves from left to right and not display the blue bar in the field of video 1. It drives me crazy so if someone knows what I did not allow that, then give me a shout. Skype me on Nathan.Jennison and I can show you exactly what I mean.

    Thank you guys

It's a glance toward the Source (the program visible to the right monitor) monitor, where I cut ~ 1.75 sec head and 1 ~ s of the tail. I then just click-dragged from the Source monitor into the timeline. This created an Instance with this "master" element, with the exact in and out Points that I put in place. The screen-cap PrPro 2.0, then things might look a bit different, but similar, with your version. That's why I asked what version you were using.

Hope this helps and good luck,

    Hunt

  • Trimming of a fast moving in a video object.

Hello. I hope that my question is not too complicated, but I want to shoot video of a small, fast moving object (a RC plane) on my iPhone of 6 to 4K, then "reframe" video for an enlarged image of the object. A plane RC zooms in on a camcorder recording can be extremely difficult, that's why I want to try cropping. I tried cropping videos in iMovie, but it does not reach the desired effect that the plane did not stay always in the same place, even on video with zoom out.

Is it possible to crop a video, and then move the 'culture' smoothly to track an object, so it don't go out of the frame? I've always had problems saving objects moving quickly zoomed in I always loose track of them so I hope someone here has done this before and knows how to do.

I just got my first Mac and I really enjoy free programs that are installed.

    Thank you

    Adam

It is not really possible to do with iMovie and difficult even with professional video editors.

I would put the k 4 clip in the timeline panel as the first clip in order to put the project to 4 k.  I would try to stabilize it but this will very probably stabilize background rather than the position of the aircraft in the framework.  You can crop the video but the only way to move from his position is by using the Ken Burns effect, but it does not seem possible to use keyframes to follow the plan (as you can with picture in picture).  You can split the clip into parts and apply individual effects of Ken Burns to everyone, but it will be awfully tedious if the movement of the aircraft is fast and jerky.

To do this you must use a professional editor like FCPX, for which there are plugins from third party that can follow an object in a frame.   Even then, it is not easy to get a good result.

    Geoff.

  • Trim video to reduce the size

I have a great video to go pro in iphoto. I want to set to decrease the size of the video. How to do this?

You haven't, really. Prune in iPhoto is lossless.

Export from iPhoto to the Finder:

-> Export the file, and then set the type to the Original in the export dialog.

Once in the Finder, you can make the changes you want.

  • Trim the video Clip 7sec

I have a video in my calendar that lasts 15 minutes.

I would like to cut 7 seconds of the clip from 01:46 01:53

In other words I want to finish the clip at 01:46, then continue the clip at 1:53, essentially mower 7 seconds between 01:46 & 01:53

Can anyone show how to do this? All I'm getting right now is how to cut before the end of a clip which is very easy to do and a clip, but my situation is not that its between the time, I specified above.

I use the first elements 11

    StevoDevo100

Where are you now with this clip... cut in the preview area with the points put in and Set Out?

Timecode is set up from the hours representing as 00; 00; 00; 00; minutes; seconds; images. So I'm not 100% sure that you have in your 01:46 and 01:53.

However, in principle, move the indicator to the chronology of all what you call 01:46, make sure the clip is highlighted (selected) and click the scissors tag that is attached to the timeline indicator red stem. Who will cut the clip right here. Then move the editing guide until you call 01:53, make sure the clip is the highest point (selected) and click the scissors tag tht is attached to the timeline indicator red stem.

Now, do a right click on the segment you just created and choose delete and close the space.

Does this work for you. Please let us know the result.

If you want to continue to do the same thing in the preview window, we will provide the details in the morning.

    Thank you.

  • Combine all the video clips in a new clip

Not exactly necessary for my workflow, but something I'd expect to see. In a main element with many intermittent faults, which I clean, either in the viewer or the timeline, my clips unique original becomes a series of video clips. With this master clip now cleaned, I couldn't want to change in a way that maps the changes done to eliminate imperfections. Kinda like having a $5, $4 1 s and the spare change to raise to $10 and preferring to have a single $10 bill, instead, another handful.

The manual says no way to do it within the FCE. If I export the standalone series of clips as .mov, QT hit the resolution from 1080 to 720 (no thanks). If I export to QT conversion, the 1080 can be maintained, but the only file that results has its image reduced by 20% (?), surrounding it with black borders. When brought within the CTF, the clip is still listed as 1080. But I still have to resize it with success, as the means for it apparently do not allow borders to trim.

    TIA

    Try this:

    Re: Export in best quality

Also, check the project properties are what you think they should be.

  • Allows you to TRIM on Samsung 840 Pro SSD without danger?

I'm still in Yosemite because of compatibility issues with some software that we use at work. I saw OS x 10.10.4 you can activate the TRIM of the terminal, which would help a lot on my MBP of 2011 with a 840 Samsung 256 GB Pro. When I bought it, it's the tip about 500 MB/s as well read/write - excellent! But more recent benchmarks shows a sad note:

It's obviously a part of poor cleaning result and the lack of support from TRIM on OS X. whereas it's easy to activate the TRIM, I'm not so sure that it is safe to turn it on. There are many items from 2014 and 2015 mentioning bugs in the firmware from Samsung regarding FILLING in queueand bugs in the Linux kernel regarding sequentialTRIM that created a different problem. Most people would have problems because of the firmware on the disk problem.

-Where are we now? Is this even a question? I can't find a more recent post on what are the potential risks. I do a lot of video Import/Export at the time (where the wish for a faster drive) and I can't risk of corruption. We're talking perhaps about 50-60 hours of material, all the corruption in exports would probably take long to notice (before anyone looks at everything).

A quote from the post to MacRumors: 'so if you have a modern Samsung drive, it is important that your operating system uses regular sequential TRIM. Linux is the only OS that uses queued. All versions of OS X (same El Capitan) and Windows (last) always use sequential TRIM and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. »

So is it true? I can easily activate topping on my Samsung SSD, no risk that I'm suddenly stuck with random corruptions on my files in a few days/weeks?

As far as I can see 'about tech' article there is no problem on Mac, only Linux distributions that uses queued TRIM, which the Samsung 840/850 readers wrong informs that it supports. Sequential TRIM and Mac/Windows should not see any problem.

"Samsung TRIM questions seem to appeared only when used with the TRIM controls in queue." OS X uses only sequential TRIM of orders at this time, so allowing the FILLING with the line of Samsung SSD should be OK, such as reported by MacNN. »

  • upgrade 500 Gb drive HARD need to TRIM

    Hi all

I recently updated my 500 GB HARD drive to a disc SSD of Samsung EVO 750 with a capacity of 256 GB.

The computer is an iMac 2009 end running El Capitan and has 12 Mg of RAM

I have to install the FILLING with this upgrade?

I understand the PAD performs some file management and also defragments a SSD.

But reading Utube has a video of a proverb that says 'professional' need not trim.

I'm not a professional so I'm a little confused about the need for GARNISH

It became the issue of the 21st century egg vs. chicken. I use TRIM on my iMac late 2009 and my Macbook in early 2009. You can expect contradictory answers here too. With El Capitan Apple has allowed third-party SSD also use the TRIM.
