Videos, embedded in Web pages or sites Web will not play.

I can't get videos to play that are embedded in web pages using Firefox.  Videos work OK in YouTube and using IE 8.  Seems lack me a plugin or something.  Any comments will be appreciated.

Halima S thanks for your response.  Just let you know that I solved my problem.  It turns out that an Extension that I use with my Firefox Add-ons, was causing my problem.  I found the source and removed.  My problem has been fixed.  Thank you.

  • Why my video preview will not play on Windows Movie Maker?

I worked on a video in Windows Movie Maker, and now it will not play my preview of the video.

More than likely one or more of your source files are not
fully compatible with Movie Maker or the project is too
large and/or complex for your system resources.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

It may be interesting to try to create a small project
and see if Movie Maker exhibits the same behavior.

Sometimes, it can help if you are going to... Tools / Options /.
Compatibility tab and disable all filters / OK.

HTTP 500 is an internal server error.  It seems that our IT people have corrected the problem, as I am no longer see it.

If the problem persists, it may have something to do with cookies, or a third-party add-on (maybe a blocking ads or plug-in privacy?) which is causing some information on the State of the site to get deleted or corrupted.  You can try to delete your cookies or using the incognito private browsing mode to see if the problem goes away.

  • embedded videos will not play

Combination of problems started recently (about a month I guess), at the same time:
    1. embedded videos will not play (for example. Facebook, CNN). I can hear the sound but the picture is black with sparkles casual video
    2. I have a lag when I type. Applies when I'm looking, web addresses of Scripture, and when I fill out forms like this
    3. when I type in the box search or Firefox address, I see a blue rectangle where I type.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, no difference. I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell XPS 15Z, 64-bit. Using the antivirus Avast and Adblocker Plus (I disabled that, has not made a difference). Can't think of everything that happened at the same time, these problems started, for example. I have not installed (knowingly) all new software

There is a free feature that was originally black web pages, but there have been updates to block graphics drivers that were affected. I would first check to make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

    2. I'm experiencing a lag when I type. Applies when I'm searching, writing web addresses, and when I'm filling out forms like this one

Since there is a lag when you type, I suspect two things: the feature that remembers the form content is too large or that a running script can be consumes resources on your computer. Please check to make sure that all your add ons and plugins are up to date: https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

This improves after updating the graphics driver or disabling hardware acceleration? If this isn't the case, please run a virus scan. Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malicious software

  • Video will not play

YouTube videos play great in all sizes but on my local and cnn news site that they will not play in firefox, but they play fine in Internet Explorer.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

Videos on the YouTube sites and new will not play. Everything worked last night. This afternoon no videos don't play. I tried the update of Real Player plug-ins, re - install Real Player, install QuickTime, QuickTime plug-ins verification, etc. Nothing works.

  • Will not play netflix movies - goes to another page of netflix.

Firefox 4 refuses to play Netflix movies streaming. They worked well in the latest version of Firefox 3 I had yesterday. I added a few security and blocking of modules but disabled then those other than the ones I had used with the previous version. Netflix recognizes my account but when I click on the button "resume play", or if I select a movie and he say to play, it is by default to another page of Netflix with instructions of some sort - it will not play streaming videos.

I've just updated to the new Firefox and would not be able to stream my Netflix movies. I was getting an error code associated with Silverlight. I called Netflix and they had me turn on my story and that solved the problem. Their technical support, said the history/cookies must be enabled to stream movies. I hope this helps! (I also followed the prompt on the screen of Netflix with this error code to remove my old registered certificates, etc.).

Well, here's my answer to my own post.

After reading some posts here about possible solutions, I tried to delete all the cookies for YouTube (Tools > options > privacy > show cookies > youtube.com). Then tested on a site with integrated video would not play before and on YouTube directly - both worked!

The poster with the suggestion of cookies also proposed changes to the 'exceptions', but it was not necessary at least for me.

    Hello

    1. could you give me the exact error that you are experiencing?

The video codec required to decode and display the video can not be installed on your computer. For example, if you try to read a file that has been encoded using the DivX video codec and you do not have this codec installed on your computer, you will probably hear the audio portion of the file, but you will not see the video.

Similarly, if you try to read a file that has been encoded using the MPEG-2 video codec and you do not have a compatible MPEG-2 decoder (also called a DVD decoder) installed on your computer, you may see an error message or encounter other problems of reading.

For more information on finding and downloading codecs, see Codecs: frequently asked questions. For more information about installing an MPEG-2 decoder on your computer, go to theWeb page of DVD plug-in decoder.

    I hope this helps.
