  When I create a linked clone Desktop Pool im get the host Active directory unavailable error... when I run dcdiag from the Viewconnection server all returns fine / successful... I ping the domain name itself and the controller DC very well from the network... Any idea where I can look to see what the issue is here?

  My Acrobat 9 Std installation was damaged, so I re-installed 9.0 and added all updates to 9.3.4. When I try to create a PDF from an Office document, I get a pop-up window:

  I clicked YES, with the CD in the drive; the process lasted more than 15 minutes and ended normally.

  But when I try to create a PDF file, I get the same message again.

• Cannot create the pool network

  When you try to create a PvDC, I get an error in UI vCD which says 'could not be created.  I drilled down into the error and shows the explanation below.  I also checked the - news and newspapers of debugging on both cells in this environment and they just declare the same data.  When you look on the side of the VSM in this puzzle, the "extended network" seems to have been created no problem for this new PvDC.

  There were obsolete entries in the database POSSIBLE vCD caught on during the creation process.  Engineering once deleted the obsolete entries, a repair on the PvDC and/or a recreation of the PvDC enabled the creation of network pool to cross.

  I am using Add-AutomaticLinkedClonePool but running in the following error message:

  I tried all of the following conditions:

  No idea what I am doing wrong or where I should look next? I thought it might be a permissions problem, but it seems unlikely that the account I use must have full privileges. Incidentally, did you know that "Could not find file vm" gets 0 results on Google?

  As far as I know, you also have to include the files hidden in the access path.

  So if the Site is your data center, you should try

  -VmFolderPath "/ Site/vm/host/computers office/PoolName.

  I don't know how the Organization of your search folders, but the asumes above

  Data Center: Site

  Folder: Home

  File: desktop computers

  File: PoolName

• Problem creating a Pool in sight 4.6

  Hi people,

  Have a new view 4.6 built environment, vCenter 4.1 with the composer 2.6 and 2 connection servers v 4.6.0 - 366101

  I have the server vcenter added to the main login using an account admin very good server, evrything looks good until I have create a Pool.

  When I get to the comments Customization screen I need to select a specific ORGANIZATIONAL unit in Active Directory, but when I ge to the screen, this isn't Pick-up from the field.

  If I hit the Browse button, I get an error message saying "Cannot browse Active field null Directory"

  You must add users and domain accounts to viewcomposer settings before creating the automated pool.

  This can be done by editing entry vCenter in coneection broker and providing credentials of domain/under "settings View Composer".

  If the problem was caused by a windows update, I'll try to see if you can do a system restore and go back before the update has been applied to your system.  Click the number of the KB article and follow the steps in KB.

• Vista cannot create a network map

  the two 2 computers running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.  Network and sharing screens put in place identical.  On my computer (from the network and sharing Center), I can click on view full map and it shows my network card.  On the computer of my wife (of the network and sharing Center) she can click on view full map and it rises "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the selected type of connection networl.  I might add that both computers are 'wired' internet/router.

  Are your computer and your computer wife have chipset or card network NVIDIA perchance? or a Linksys router by chance?  This is a post in the forum of Linksys, you might want to check in to see if it applies to your computers:

  Symptom: Windows Vista computers are not put on the Vista network map. Or well, you get the following message when you try to view the full network map: "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of connection chosen network." To check go to: PANEL-> CENTER NETWORK AND SHARING. SEE the FULL map (top-right) and find either: A Windows Vista-based computer is listed down under: "the following peripheral discovered may not be placed in the plan. or You get the message, "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of network connection. Possible cause: The offending computer has an NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller whose property "priority and VLAN" to "priority"active & VLAN. Solution: Set the property 'priority & VLAN"to"Priority and VLAN Disabled"as follows: Reach: START-> CONTROL PANEL-> ADMINISTRATION-> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT TOOLS In the resultant "computer management" window select: DEVICE MANAGER (left side). • I tried to look at my device manager and go this message MMC cannot create a snap

  I wasn't at the root droid to my husband, to see if the installation of the driver, have been, to my horror, saw NO Device Manager, just MMC cannot create a snap.

  I think I'll probably have to do a clean re install to get this and a few other problems I've seen lately. Any suggestions?

  3. did you of recent changes on the computer?
  4. do you get error messages when you try to open Device Manager?

   

  Method 1:

  Try opening the Device Manager by following the steps mentioned.
  Click the Start button, then click on control panel - system and Maintenance, then select Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  Method 2:
  You can perform a scan of the SFC (System File Checker). It lists all the issues and will also retrieve all files if necessary. Follow the steps below to perform a Scan SFC -

  a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
  b. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
  c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
  d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
  e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

  If the problem persists, you can check if you are facing the same question in the user account new or different administrator account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

  Cannot create a new folder and name it.  The name I give always comes back again record when I hit enter.

  I'm assuming that happens with all new folders in the special folder that you use and that you use a "legal" name for the folder - but that is determined when you answer questions of Malke.

  It's maybe a permissions issue.  You will have to perhaps take full rights on the folder or even take in charge of the case.

  To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

  To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself).
