View 6 POS backup application backup files?

Hello everyone

I use Sphere Data Protection 6.0 and I wonder if there is an option to view the backed up files of database to get back them on my computer for example, or to restore to another location for testing perposes.

also is there an option to backup files only not the whole score because I checked and have not found something similar that the ability to backup a partition or the virtual machine complete.

Thanks for help

If the database file is located in a virtual machine, you can do a file-level restore.  If you backed up the database using MSSQL agent you must restore the backup of a database.

  • Backup utility Windows 7 application ' are you sure you want to remove the most recent data from the backup file "even if I'm trying to remove the backup set is not the most recent.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of space that my Windows 7 backup uses so I've come to the place in Windows 7 backup:
    Manage space > view backups...

I am then presented a list of three backup sets:
    01/03/2012 to 01/04/2012
    12/07/2011 to 12/21/2011
    23/11/2011 to 30/11/2011

I would like to remove the older two, leaving the most recent. However, this doesn't seem to work as expected. If I try to delete one of the two most recent ones (the first two in the list above) I get the following warning "Are you sure you want to delete this backup file.

However, if I try to delete the last one in the list, I get a slightly different error "Are you sure you want to remove the most recent data of the file backup?"-sounds strange because it is clearly not the most recent backup according to the dates it's show.

Of course, I can go ahead and ignore the warnings, but I fear that maybe there are some files in the last backup the value in the list that may not be right more recent set backs.

In 2011, I thought this might be something wrong with the date formats vs US UK (I am in England so the above dates are in dd/mm/yyyy format and not in jj/mm/aaaa) - but now it's 2012 and I backup from 2012 and 2011 games and he always seems to think that the oldest backup of 2011 is the most recent.

Any ideas? Can I delete the oldest backup sets (that is, the two that are from 2011) safely?

Any help much appreciated - thank you.

  • Why can't I open my backup files to my PC?

Hello! I recently did a backup of my phone using iTunes, but every time I have to browse these files, they are all a weird format that my computer does not recognize, so my question is how do I backup my files while being able to open on my PC

There is no official way to unlock iPhone save the file. The only way that you can 'use' it is to restore it to your phone via iTunes.

There are a few 3rd party applications claiming to be able to open iTunes backups but I do not recommend to use them, like playing with herself, save might be unusable when you need it. But if you really do just google 'open iPhone backup file', and I'm sure you'll find something.

    But even once, do not.

  • Write backup files as reading takes place in the event of computer failure

    Hello

My application involves sometimes to test outdoors.  We have a PC equipment and robust data acquisition.  I'm in the Northeast, where in recent weeks were cold and we had to do a test on the outside.  Long story short, in the middle of the test the computer shut down (probably because it was too cold for the computer according to the data sheet) and I lost all the data from the sensor.  The coomputer works fine BTW when I brought it back inside.

The reason for which the data have been lost was because the program never completed and so the function that creates the data file has a chance to run.  Now, the data acquisition card, we used is very old and obsolete.  I am trying to upgrade the equipment with components or (PCI-6221) and a box of CSC-2345 with modules for two load cells load cells.  At the same time, I am writing a LabVIEW application that improves the old, obsolete program.

I want the application to write a file in spreadsheet with all the information of the sensor continuously as the test proceeds in the event of failure of the computer midtest.  In this way, I at least have some saved data.  I explained all this to another engineer here and he says that he cannot make this way at high sampling rates (I want to run the program at 1 kHz for 60 seconds).  His reason was that the writing on file screws up the waveforms that we measure because the file must be opened, the data gets written and then closed for each line of data points.  He argues that the resources of the computer will be linked up as it tries to write the file while the program is data acquisition and store these data in a buffer.

So my question is: what is the recommended architecture to write a backup file as a test occurs with a high (1 kHz and 10 kHz) sample rate when the computer shuts down or some other failure?  Also, what are the limits of performance when writing data to a file within the same line as the VI 'read '?

    Thank you.

Rate from 1 to 10 kHz are in fact rather slow. You can use an architecture of producer/consumer to save text files, and there is simply no reason to open and close files permanently. With DAQmx, you can listen directly to the disk at much higher rates.

  • Cannot restore backup files

I do weekly backups of my laptop (running Vista Home Premium being) by using the backup utility Windows & restoration that is installed.  I can see the last backup on the external drive, I'm using (IOMEGA 500 GB) using "Explores all", but when I try to restore using the restore function, no files are displayed in the menu "select files".  I am logged on as administrator, and the road is shared with all users.  Any ideas?

  • How can I locate the folder where my backup files are stored on my internal hard drive? I want to delete all backup files

operating system is windows vista laptop.

I went into system restore settings and couldn't find how to locate my saved files. I think they take a LOT of space, I deleted all other unused files and I have more than 6 GB of free space out of 67 concert. Help, please? I don't know much about computers at all.

    Hello

Follow the method of deleting a file of older backup using sub steps and check later if the problem persists.

    (a) open backup and restore by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click system and Maintenanceand then clicking backup and restore.

    (b) click on Manage space. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (c) to delete older backups of files under that data backup file, click on view backups.

You can then select the backups of files that you want to delete, which will free up disk space. Remove an entry in the list will not affect the other backups. If you think that you don't need one version of your files from a certain backup period, you can delete that backup. We recommend that you always keep the most recent backup.

I'm trying to restore backup files do everything on time. However, they are in a weird format (photos can be found here):

So basically, as it is now, I would manually search each one to find what I want. does anyone know a better solution than that? any help is greatly appreciated.

I had simular problems but found that if you open the program that created the backup files there is usually an option to restore. Use this and it should put them all back where they came from and some offer a new place where to put them. I think you could transfer beable to mass. Create a folder on your desktop label everything you remember you say photos from photobucket. Go to photobucket where your photos are and click on the first file, then hold down the SHIFT key and click the last file then right click in the area highlight and you should get an option in there to copy, click on it then right on the folder that you created and click on paste and a copy of their planned to transfer everything to the folder.

Hope this works for you, it should.

    Good luck

  • Restoration of the backup files is not HD

Microsoft window came up with message that my HD was 'BAD', and I have to back up the files and replace HD.  I chose the option to back up all the files on a flash drive.

When I insert the flash drive it contains a file 'OWNER-PC.'

My laptop was stolen Monday. I have a backup stored on external hard drive, but cannot open the becaause it is VHD format. My laptop has Vista Business my home computer has Vista Home Premium. How can I open the VHD.file?

  • HP Pavilion HPE Series - Windows 7 - backup files on DVD-R and DVD + R DL.

    Nice day

I have a question about backing up my files using dvd - r - dvd + r dl - I used to be able to back up my files once you write information about the disk backup, which includes the number of drive - computer name - date - time-. After completing most of the time to backup their still room left on the disk to add the backup files.

So every time I have to perform a regular new save new files to the computer would ask the previous disc and then add the new files if had left them enough space on this disk. Until recently, when I backup my files at the application-it request the previous disc, which still has plenty of room to add new files - I insert the previous disc, but it will not add new files, a messaged pop keeps saying insert the previous disc it will not new files backup.

I have to click on the use of a new media and formatting option and save the new files a new dvd - r or a dvd + r dl etc. Can anyone suggest what may be the problem and if the DVD + R DL that holds up to 8 GB are even appropriate for the backup files.

    Thank you.

    Joe, welcome to the forum.

I suggest looking for a driver or Firmware Update for the drive.  Sometimes the glitches may occur which will cause the type of problem that you are experiencing.  You may have to completely reinstall the training software and driver.  In addition, it seems that the DVD may close at the end of each burn.  This would make the DVD so it will not allow adding more data.

Here's a guide to the types of CD/DVD that you can use for backups and other uses.  Personally, I've always had the best luck using (+ r) discs.  They seem to be compatible with many brands of discs.

Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer the data from a backup file of BB to the priv. The only way is to use the content transfer application. You must restore the data to a BB device and then use the content transfer application to move the data.

HOW CAN I REINSTALL WINDOWS 7 WITHOUT DELETE OR HURT THE BACKUP FILE?

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • How to decrypt the backup file

    Hi all

I need to know how to decipher the backup file (ACS 5.3) on the desktop. Below is relevant for once you import the file to restore. However, my problem is to extract the file to your desktop

    ============================================================

    GBA backup encryption

Backup of the ACS is now encrypted using a password of dynamic encryption. The user is prompted for an encryption password when executing a backup operation. ACS encrypts only the ACS data by using a dynamic encryption key. CARS and the ACS view data is encrypted using a static key. That is why ACS invites to enter a password for encryption when you perform a backup that contains the data of the ACS. The user is prompted for a password for decryption while restoring a backup that contains the data of the ACS.

When you run a backup in ACS, ACS uses the static to encrypt key the CARS and the ACS data and actually a file of .gpg while GBA backup data is saved inside this file as file separate .gpg .gpg using the dynamic encryption password. When you restore the full backup, ACS invites for the decryption password decrypt the backup ACS data. ACS decrypts the data from CARS and display ACS data using the static key.

    The encryption password must have:

    • a minimum of 8 characters
    • no more than 32 characters
    • letter at least one capital letter.
    • at least a tiny.

«Special characters are allowed except "'", "$", "(" et "") "» ACS displays the password strategy if the entered password does not meet password requirements.

    ===========================================================

for people who would ask "Why I want to do this": it's policies related audit password standards

    Hello

I can't think about a way to recover your files, it's to restore the file to a temp ACS server can generate a backup that is not encrypted.

I would say we can decrypt the file on your desktop if we know the method that was used to encrypt it. I think that this information is not provided anywhere in the doc of cisco.

  • How to understand how backup file is belong to what backupset.

    Hello

I'm looking for an answer, but impossible to find for a while.

for example, I backed up my system with this command:
    backup database section size 1G;
and 4 file created for the backup (I guess that my database of approximately 4.5 G and global safeguard is 3. 5 g). There are 4 different files in a backup set after the backup command. I run this command again and 4 more files and second backup.

Now, how I understand of RMAN or dynamic sql, views the backup files belong to what backupset.
in 'Backup list' RMAN command does not display the backup sets (or I couldn't find something in common).

also in sql, it has V$ BACKUP_SET and V$ element_sauvegarde views but I could not find relationship master detail between those points of view. in V$ Backup_Set view I can see the file and backup header information how that backup has to element_sauvegarde V$ RMAN_STATUS_RECID column has the same id for the same backup, but it does not exist in V$ Backup_Set

in particular, I want to see this list in RMAN. is there a solution?

    Thanks for help.

    Hi Mustafa KALAYCI,

This means Hmm so even if there is an ID that is unique about it, I couldn't see it.

    I'm afraid you're right.

If I want to spend one of my old backup to a different location, how can I know which files I have to spend?

You can use the handle and completion_time columns in v$ element_sauvegarde or the timestamp of the file OS to identify older files.
(Be aware of old information from rman backup is purged of the controlfile due to pressure of space, check the control_file_record_keep_time setting)
