    Hello Steven,

Did you ever receive notifications that a virus or malware has been removed from your system recently?
My only thought is that it is the remains of an infection on your machine.
It is most likely harmless, but I don't understand why you'd be concerned.
Do you have any task scheduled to run at startup using Task Scheduler built into Windows?
I would check to see if there are tasks to run at startup:
  • ThinPro with VMware View USB Redirection

    Hi all:

I'm trying to configure my workstation (t620 ThinPro 5.1 running) to start required services necessary for USB with VMware View forwarding at startup.  I tried to add the command to /etc/rc.local and created my own init.d script, but none of these options automatically launch services.  Run manually /etc/rc.local and the custom init.d script launches the services successfully.

Has someone managed to get the necessary USB redirection services running at the start?  Any guidance is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Solved my problem... changed under USB Manager Remote Protocol of VMware View.  Updated this setting caused VMware services to run at startup.

  • Windows XP will not move past the first page (Page in XP) when you try to start the system.

System worked normally but very slow.  Tried to start today and cannot move from one Windows XP page.  It seems that it tries to start but dones does not advance.  I installed Windows Explorer 8 yesterday.  System starts in safe mode.

In Safe Mode, what is the error reports can you see in the event viewer for a startup in normal mode?

Take a look in the system and the Application records in Event Viewer for
Errors and warnings and copies of post here. Don't post any more than 48
    Twitter.com.

You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administration tools, and Event Viewer. When the search for meaning
error, event, Source ID, and Description information
    are important.

A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run the event and double observer
Click on the error you want to copy. In the window that appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of

  • Determination of storage array card

    DB version: 11.2.0.1 RAC
    Platform: Solaris (x 86-64)

In solaris, y at - there a command I could use that will provide me with the details of the storage array shared (vendor, model, number etc)

This will depend on the s/w installed driver to this storage array. If you for example connect to EMC, you're probably using Powerpath and it can provide you with details on the storage layer and its connectivity.

If the server uses (PCI cards) host bus adapters, then you can run the command of operating systems to enumerate the PCI bus - lists the channel provider of PCI cards. This command on Linux is lspci. This however will tell you the make and model of the storage Bay - only what PCI device your server uses to communicate with him.

You can also view the kernel startup log (file + / var/log/messages + Linux) because it must list the storage... driver loading and this driver usually lists some data his discovery h/w or deepening.

Also remember that the server will be generally don't see that LUN published to this server. This excludes data such as RAID levels are supported by the storage system, it is the size of the cache RAM, the number of disks and there drive sizes and so forth. Why the server would know these data when even when it does that the LUNS to be used for storage?

  • At startup, Firefox still displays my windows and labels last time, even though I have selected the option to view my homepage.

Question: Although my option is to show my home page at startup, Firefox still displays my my windows and tabs from last time.

    More details:
I use Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with Windows Pro 10 and Firefox v 40.0.2
I chose option to start Firefox to display my home page. Please see attached screenshot. The homepage is the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. However I tried other sites such as www.cognizant.com, www.cnn.com.

I also tried to start by selecting a blank page. Always on starting Firefox displays the windows and tabs from last time.

I also deleted the (renamed) prefs.js file and restarted firefox. This step NOT solved this problem.

    Help, please. Thank you

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt, and you can see only a file name without file extension.
You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

  • Automatic connection to the server at startup for VMware View Client 2.2 Horizon?

In iterations (5.x), there was simply an option in "always connect to this server on startup".

In test 2.2.0 I don't see that option anywhere. I have also yet to find any switch that I can add to enable this feature.  Does anyone know if this is even possible?

    Thank you

You can create a custom shortcut that bypasses the user selects server connection: "C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\VMware Horizon view Client\vmware - view.exe ' desktopProtocol - desktopLayout - fullscreen PCOIP - serverURL 'view.connection.server.url' logInAsCurrentUser - false

  • How can I block others to see my favorites if the password is not entered correctly? Now the user can cancel favorite startup password & view belongs to me

I have the master password, and he asked to join the splash screen. Other users can view my favorites by canceling the password prompt. I want some more to avoid seeing my favorites if they do not know the password

The master password is not intended to be used in this way.
The password is only intended to encrypt the names and passwords stored in the Manager password with a level of additional encryption.
The Congressman didn't block access to Firefox, if you get a prompt MP when starting Firefox, then you can cancel the command prompt and use Firefox normally.
Only, you cannot access the passwords (you will get an another guest to provide the MP if necessary).

  • Thunderbird 31.0 starts dislaying a subfolder instead of the Inbox. Reset did not help. How can I return to the view from the Inbox to the startup?

Last night I closed my eyes while in a subfolder. Today, TB starts in this subfolder and I can't go back to the Inbox.

I know that my Inbox is still because it appears for about 1/3 of a second at startup, then the subfolder. In addition, by using a search, I can find a message received yesterday.

I couldn't find a solution in the help of Mozilla or even Googling the problem files. I am sure that the solution is obvious and I will probably feel stupid when I learn the answer!

When your issue has been resolved can mark this thread as "solved" Please?

  • View Manager does not load at startup (Windows 8 - confirmed activated in the Task Manager / start)

During the recent update MDD, I can't get it to load automatically at startup.

    I am running Windows 8.1.

I have to run it manually every time that I boot - which is a pain.

I activate under via Task Manager startup items (oddly there are two DDMs that appears here, both are enabled).

    Any advice / help?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems that you have installed the display manager Dell with privileges "Run as administrator". DDM cannot load automatically with this option for reasons of security, that is, it cannot start without the explicit permission of an administrator - Windows does not.

Right-click on the MDD program or shortcut and select Properties, then cliquer click on the Compatibility tab, uncheck the box "Run this program as Administrator" and then click on "change settings for all users.

Or just reinstall it with the "Run as Administrator" option unchecked. DDM itself doesn't require elevated privileges.

Maybe I was able to solve my problem. I held shift when opening Illustrator and open in a bare bones mode, and then closed and reopened without getting the error message. Good luck to you.

  • View the Qosmio G35 - not coming not at startup

I recently tried to increase speed start by getting rid of things I don't think I needed running. Now when I start my Qosmio G35 I hit FN + F5 keys to see anything on the screen? And when I got home I couldn't extend my monitor screen, were all two virgins?

I finally booted in safe mode and was able to get my laptop screen works again, I still need to hit FN, F5 to start. What I screw up? and how do I get it back to where it was?

    > and how do I get it back to where it was?
I think that the answer is simply to enable all things you have disabled before.
