• 11 GR 2 64-bit download snapshot Client for Linux?

  I try to find it for an instance of Oracle 11 g 2 64-bit Client for Linux by downloading.

  I checked the following URL, but it only contains the full client:

  Oracle Database 11 g Release 2 for Linux x 86-64

  I need customer moment because I believe that it is in the form of RPM and the 'root' user can install it without having to install/configure the X-Windows stuff. I need this for a 64 bit RH Linux 5.8 server where MISTLETOE is not allowed.

• Help with renovation Horizon View client for Mac

  I'm packaging the client VMware View Horizon for our Mac desktops and laptops (we have about 150). Normally, it is a very simple and very easy process with this client because it is just a soft. We use Apple PackageMaker to repackage the Horizon of VMware View Client.appand add the plist for the test user for the deployment of future users profiles. We used some com.vmware.view.plist in the past to ensure that our connection to the server is prefilled and force PCoIP. It has worked great for us with all < 2.3 versions.

  From 2.3 and 3.0 now, I have not been able to repackage the application correctly. I have download the .dmg to VMware and copy the .app in it in / applications; This is exactly how a user would install it on their system. I run the Client discovers once and connect to our login server using the settings I want to paste when you deploy this application to our machines. Then using PackageMaker, I point the first part of the package that will be created for Applications/Vmware view Horizon Client.app as usual (including the roots). It's normal. I choose com.vmware.view.plist file, and I'm using a plist Editor, delete the entry for my test user name and office that I'm connected to. In PackageMaker, the destination of this .plist file is in the default profile for the mac - so whenever a new user connects to the mac, they will receive the file .plist with the parameters we want. Sounds good. The package is built successfully. I deploy it on a machine to test successfully.

  When I connect on a test system and run the client from the view, I can connect properly. If I try to use the menu connection/printing enabled, all hell breaks loose and I get a series of errors;

  Invalid file in the package.

  The file is not valid:

  / Applications/VMware Horizon view Client.app/Contents/Library/thnuclnt/thnusetup.sh.

  Please download the official product.

  If I try to start services remotely USB, I get a similar error once it issues a warning that I will be asked to enter the credentials of the admin;

  OK, I just had to put the question so that I could think clearly through it.

  There are some extended attributes on these shell scripts that PackageMaker removes when it reconditions the app. I conditioned as a .dmg, and copy the app via the postinstall script in the pkg... works very well after that.

• View Client remembers the last connection protocol (even another computer)

  Currently, the customer discovers learns this last protocol used when connecting to a desktop computer from the view connection server.  It is a big problem.

  EXAMPLE - I have a user who has a PC at work and a PC at home.  I put the default protocol of pool to PCoIP.  They connect at work (pcoip).  They go home and have move to RDP.  They return to work and have move to PCoIP.  They go home and have to swith RDP...

  Why would you transfer an environment setting like that from one computer to another with no ability to override?  This will cause the use moving between computer and protocols to constantly change their protocol settings.  If the client view would ignore the configuration of the server protocol, then they could leave PCoIP together at work and RDP set at home and be able to quickly connect.

  Is it possible with view 4.5 to replace it?

  VMWARE please correct this by adding a parameter to the client view each Protocol user setting from the server connection or ignore it and use the last protocol used by the client to view software.

  I agree it is a bit strange, but you can set a parameter at the launch of the View client to specify whether to use PCoIP or RDP.

  desktopProtocol - XXX will attempt to use the specified protocol desktop display.

  Start by pingging your AD server's DNS server.  Also, try ping the DNS server of the virtual machine that you are trying to install the view on.  You can try it joined to the domain by using the command NET DOM.  We do in our environment at all correct control but can not quite understand our this is the problem.  You can also check the event viewer on the virtual computer to see if he throws all Kerberos events associated with the certificate expiring this testimony of course that the server may need to be joined to the domain.  The virtual machine was interrupted for a while?

• Content Viewer app for iPad not connected?

  I checked all the boxes in this diagnosis, they do not apply. Connect first via the site Web, check, iPad, Safari, and Chrome Windows always get error authentication failed with information of the same logon from the content viewer application.

  Is there an agent yet for linux especially Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.  With the Android development picking up speed, we have a real need to have our developers.  The main thing that is necessary for us is the USB redirection to the prompt of the client running XP/Windows 7 or even a thin client for them to download cores to our material connected to the customer.  Thanks in advance, if anyone knows of other solutions, it would be really appreciated.

  There is a VMware View Client for Linux, this will allow Linux machines to connect to a broker and load a Windows VDI image.

  However it is not a VMware View Agent for Linux that allow a remote desktop Linux to be negotiated through the infrastructure of the view to a device from end user customers.

  There are rumors of people for the agent Windows runs under Linux using wine and Rdesktop but no one seems to have posted a shot-by-shot full of way to account and then that would be completely supported the point of view of VMware.
