  • Control/dimming views of remote desktop

I was hoping I'd be able to use the Web Client to a view Desktop users, but it does not work as it connects the user to if I'm going to the console.

Can someone tell me please what better way to hide your desktop? I don't want to use PC Anywhere or something like that, I thought that Vmware would have a way to do it.

Unfortunately, we cannot directly provide access to console RDP sessions because of the way the RDP connections work.

RDP in fact generates a separate virtual session that the user connects to which causes the vSphere console to display a locked screen.

During the implementation of PCoIP turns upward a server process that hangs in the virtual video card in the virtual office. We use the Agent to sign the user and then connect the PCoIP session directly to the video card of this console through the network session.

I don't know if there are plans to develop a kind of specific cloak that would support both RDP and PCoIP.

  • With multi-monitor Windows 7 Remote Desktop

I tried to remote desktop from my Windows 7 RC machine at home for my full desktop Windows Vista Edition machine with the multiscreen option, but even if I have 2 monitors works very well on both sites I can't make it work with this new feature with remote desktop. Do I need a different operating system at server end?

    Thank you very much
    Richard.

    Hello Baker,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.  Remote Desktop connection supports screens high resolution that can be split over multiple monitors. However, the total resolution across all monitors must be less than 4096 x 2048 pixels. Monitors must have the same resolution. In addition, monitors must be aligned side-by-side.

Order for the Office of the remote computer span multiple monitors, type Mstsc/span at a command prompt.

Thank you for using answers Forum. Please let us know how it works.

  • View the lines of the grid or square patterns using MS Remote Desktop

    Hi all

I had this problem since the Fusion 3.0.  I've upgraded to 3.01 and now 3.02 (232708) - running past patches of snow leopard on the macbook pro unibody.

I searched but perhaps I am using the wrong keywords because I can't find any text on this issue.

The current problem is when I use MS RDP connect and manage my windows 2003 and 2008 HP and Dell servers, grid or vertical and horizontal lines to corrupt and my remote desktop display.  (My Office/display continues to work ok). I've attached a screenshot of the screen, RDP, for example.  This problem manifest itself when I using either fusion windowed mode or full-screen.  I tried to connect to a windows 2000 Server and does not see it

    problem.

I turned on and off 3d acceleration for this problem.

My Fusion guest operating system is Windows XP SP2, built from scratch in Fusion 3.0.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Apple Remote Desktop (3.8.5) on several network interfaces

    Location:

Running Office at distance between an iMac and a Mac mini, both running up-to-date El Capitan.  ARD version 3.8.5

Both computers are on two networks, the WiFi network including the internet connection and is therefore "primary" and a wired machine-to-machine ethernet connection.  WiFi and ethernet are on separate subnets.

In Didier, ARD 3.8.4, the Remote Desktop on the Mini app would announce (on Hello) as 'Active' wireless and wired interfaces, and from the iMac, I could choose who I want to use.  Usually the cables, connection gigabit ethernet to reduce network activity on WiFi.

After these two machines 10.11.2 and ARD 3.8.5, update the Mini looks like 'Active' on the WiFi connection and 'offline' on the connection wired and is the remote desktop will not connect via the wire link. (no change with 10.11.3)

I tried all combinations of options, I could think of to try to force the 3.8.5 on the Mini ARD announced as 'Active' on the wired connection.  Until beginning with no network connection, at all, on each machine, with all remote management and sharing turned off, re-boot both systems and leaving the disabled WiFi connection.  All to nothing does not.

Paradoxically, file sharing works great!  It's just the Remote Desktop/screen sharing (Yes, I tried also, all possible combinations) will not announce or connect to the wired connection.

When the two networks are active, sharing on the Mini preferences show the IP address for the primary network (WiFi) as well as the name (Nimitz.local) of the computer.  However, if the WiFi connection is not active there is no IP address displayed and the ".local" does not appear in the name of the computer.  It appears as just "Nimitz" not "Nimitz.local".

I went through all the / library, folder ~ / Library, looking for whatever it is possibly connected to this issue.  I opened the files, checked the files, replaced the files and deleted the files without result.

So my question is: how to do Remote Desktop or screen sharing to connect to the wired interface?  I'd rather not try and go back to Yosemite and ARD 3.8.4 if possible.

    Thank you for your patience!

    Kyle

App for screen sharing, it must use the wired connection if you Set 1) Ethernet on your system of Viewer to be the first interface in system preferences-> network-> gear-> Service order icon set... and 2) to connect to the target by its IP Ethernet address. Remote Desktop is the MAC address of each computer and combines the addresses into a single entity. Most likely, the second computer that shows 'offline' is a file incomplete or dead. I would like to delete it. ARD promotes the address who has worked both previous. In theory, you can turn off WiFi and connect once via Ethernet and it will remain.

  • Microsoft on a Mac Remote Desktop

I have a user who wants to use a desktop app remotely in distance back to his PC Windows7 of his Macbook pro.  I could download and install Microsoft remote desktop 8.0.9 from the Apple app store, but I am unable to connect to the computer, it keeps on indicating that the RDP client impossible to connect and to verify that the name of the PC is correct or enter the IP address.   I greeted the remote to the PC on the side user PC Windows7.  The Macbook pro is running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.  I was wondering if there are any known issues with this version of RDP works perhaps only not with the OS X version?  I got lucky in the past be able remotely on Windows PC from a MAC using the RDP Windows client, but a hard time working on my version.  Maybe I should try a 3rd party RDP client?

    Rob

There is a much easier way.  There is a 3rd party called team app Viewer that is used by millions of pro.  I use it about 6 hours a day and it's free, bullet proof and easy to use.

    You can download the windows, mac, iPad, i {hone and Android versions here}

  • Remote Desktop connection crashes computer

I have a windows xp pro machine used for game servers.

do not really need to do much with it except from time to time to update programs, so I connect to it the using connection since a ultimate win7 remote desktop machine and an another win xp pro machine.  everything works very well for more than a year.

recently, I had several problems; the box was hacked, but it doesn't seem they did anything except create a userid and snooping.  I have (actually deleted) patched the problem (winamp) and all was well again.  I say this only for the sake of completeness, but don't think that this is relevant

fast-forward a few months, and one of the drives falls out of the raid mirror.  I ran a repair on it and it seemed ok.

then all of a sudden, when I now try to connect, it blocks the machine, I am trying to connect to, constantly.

any suggestions?  I need this machine to accept remote connections, and in any case stop crashing when someone tries.  I have done a ton of anti-malware analysis, using a dozen programs different in case, but didn't find anything.  the daily program is microsoft security essentials, but I run several scanners/cleaners and found nothing.

also ran ccleaner just in case it was something registry

any suggestions on how to fix this?  is there a method to reinstall this function or?

a single note; I CAN remote in the other computers on my win7 ultimate box, so it's certainly that a target of winxp machine.

    IM lost at this stage

    Thank you

    brand

[edit] I did a full scan with several software products malware/anti-virus (including malwarebyes, spyware, microsoft security databases Dr.) and nothing found.

also custom restoration system for some reason, so I can't go that route

and I tried Office remotely to control another computer, and that works fine, so its only when the computer is a target

    Hello

    ·        The computer crashes upwards or it does not restart?

If it then restarts, it's probably a blue error screen. I suggest you to disable the auto restart and reproduce the problem. If it you encounter a blue screen then, let us know the exact error message and code. To disable automatic reboot follow the steps mentioned below.

    a. right click on my computer and then click Properties.

    b. click on the Advanced tab.

    c. under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the startup and recovery dialog box.

    d. clear the checkbox automatically, restart and then click OK, the number of times required.

    e. restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

I also suggest you to check the event logs. Follow the steps mentioned in the article below.

  • Remote Desktop left the unlocked console session after I disconnect, - BAD!

Often, I connect to my Home PC, Windows XP Pro SP3 running to work.  When I leave the House, the session is locked.

I recently discovered that when I disconnect from a remote desktop session, the computer is left * unlocked * even if I disconnect the session by locking the PC.

I'm fairly certain that it wasn't how things behave initially.  This change with SP3?

Currently, I connect to work with a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) machine, but there is this problem with my old laptop which ran from XP Pro SP3.

How can I stay locked to disconnect the console session?

END THE SESSION IS NOT AN OPTION.  I have user programs that run in the session that must continue to run. I have need of the session is running, but locked.

    Hello

In my case it was the full client of Teamviewer which is a problem, including a version earlier than 5.1.9385, when I upgraded to this one, the problem disappeared!

Now there's another question that should be checked, if you Live Mesh Beta (which runs on windows XP and not a new one which has no Vista/7), then there are chances that you have activated the Remote Desktop feature, you can find two devices under the 'View' node in the Device Manager named 'Live Mesh curtain Driver' and 'Live Mesh Mirror Driver. You can turn them off, restart and check if the problem persists.

A last suggestion if the above could not solve the problem is to update the drivers of network card in your machine.

    I hope this helps.

    Eivind Aakhus Hello,

The problem is with the external Vista machines. They can connect to the original web interface (remote.xxxxxx.ca) and they see the Remote Desktop tab RemoteApps server and workstations, but clicking on the link just puts them in a loop "enter your credentials. Nothing in Event Viewer that I choose to see what he's blocking me. None of group policy or NPS that I can see which could block access.

As mentioned earlier, internally a Vista machine works very well, outwardly this same machine won't be able to connect. No problem at all with Windows 7 or 8/8.1

  • Cannot print from remote desktop

    Original title "Printing problem" remote

I work over the desktop connection remote for another company. Recently, all of a sudden, I can't print when I am connected remotely (I've selected the "Printers" checkbox on the Options/Local tab resources before opening the Office remotely.)

When I bought a new Kodak printer it started while I got the Kodak printer. I have a HP officejet 4500 and it worked fine (I still have it at home and it prints fine from my laptop) so when I went to replace I bought the same machine only a slightly newer version. When I am connected remotely, it recognizes the new printer and acts like it sends but nothing happens and it has no build up in the Q.
