Control/dimming views of remote desktop

I was hoping I'd be able to use the Web Client to a view Desktop users, but it does not work as it connects the user to if I'm going to the console.

Can someone tell me please what better way to hide your desktop? I don't want to use PC Anywhere or something like that, I thought that Vmware would have a way to do it.

Unfortunately, we cannot directly provide access to console RDP sessions because of the way the RDP connections work.

RDP in fact generates a separate virtual session that the user connects to which causes the vSphere console to display a locked screen.

During the implementation of PCoIP turns upward a server process that hangs in the virtual video card in the virtual office. We use the Agent to sign the user and then connect the PCoIP session directly to the video card of this console through the network session.

I don't know if there are plans to develop a kind of specific cloak that would support both RDP and PCoIP.

  • Free remote desktop to control windows 7 PC with my android phone?

Hey I was wondering if there is a free program for Remote Desktop for my windows 7 PC, so I can access my computer to my android phone? I can't control my computer, just access it from another server. For example, if I'm on the app on my phone, I want to be able to use my computer at the same time, separately. Most applications only act as a remote control to navigate / control you computer and you can watch the mouse move on the screen, which is not what I want. If anyone can help please I could use it. Also if you are confused, let me know and I'll try to rephrase or better to explain it. Please and thanks in advance.

You then need a server operating system.  http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/RDS-product-home.aspx

Probably, the company uses a combination of roaming profiles or RDS so that you connect in a Virtual Machine.

  • How can I use remote desktop to control my PC at home from my Surface?

I tried searching for an answer, but all the "tutorials" are non-specific in the one area that I do not understand.

I want to do is be able to use my tablet of Microsoft Surface of anywhere I have internet and use it to control my PC in Windows 8. Which doesn't seem to be the object of the Remote Desktop application, correct? Now, I have enabled Remote Desktop connections in Control Panel and have the application installed on my surface and they both use the same Live ID, but the next step listed is just 'type the name or IP address of the computer"and none of these tutorials explain how to know exactly what one of these things is. I tried to get the name I gave the computer, which also appeared on the window that I learned to remote connection settings, but nothing happened, and to be honest I don't know why he would do. There are a large number of computers on the internet and I don't see anything that would prevent me to a share with a different device name. On the other hand, rather too many results the app can't find.

I thought then that I would try an IP address, but for some reason whatismyip.com said he did not know. It's probably something on the router and maybe the reason why the previous attempt failed, but I don't have control of the router, so if that's the case then I need an alternative.

I'll also accept other software that would make it easier, let's just connect from these two devices and selecting from a list, but I have to be able to be controlled from a device Windows RT (I don't need to go the other way, and I do not think that that is supported anyway). Feel free to just suggest something even if you don't know it will work around the problem, it is not necessarily reproducible on your system, so the only way to know is to try it.

There are solutions for remote desktop connection problems. You do not want to enter the computer name or IP address.

To find the IP address of your PC - open the charm of search and type cmd. Tap the command-line results of research. At the command prompt, type ipconfig and press ENTER. Find your network connection and note the default gateway address.

  • Remote Desktop connection crashes computer

I have a windows xp pro machine used for game servers.

do not really need to do much with it except from time to time to update programs, so I connect to it the using connection since a ultimate win7 remote desktop machine and an another win xp pro machine.  everything works very well for more than a year.

recently, I had several problems; the box was hacked, but it doesn't seem they did anything except create a userid and snooping.  I have (actually deleted) patched the problem (winamp) and all was well again.  I say this only for the sake of completeness, but don't think that this is relevant

fast-forward a few months, and one of the drives falls out of the raid mirror.  I ran a repair on it and it seemed ok.

then all of a sudden, when I now try to connect, it blocks the machine, I am trying to connect to, constantly.

any suggestions?  I need this machine to accept remote connections, and in any case stop crashing when someone tries.  I have done a ton of anti-malware analysis, using a dozen programs different in case, but didn't find anything.  the daily program is microsoft security essentials, but I run several scanners/cleaners and found nothing.

also ran ccleaner just in case it was something registry

any suggestions on how to fix this?  is there a method to reinstall this function or?

a single note; I CAN remote in the other computers on my win7 ultimate box, so it's certainly that a target of winxp machine.

  • Remote Desktop is designed to help users to solve their computer problems?

Is it a good tool to use to help other users with computers there are problems?

    Hello

Remote Desktop connection is a technology that allows you to sit in front of a computer (sometimes called the client computer) and connect to a remote computer (called the host computer) in a different location. For example, you can connect your computer to work from your home computer and have access to all of your programs, files, and network resources as if you were in front of your computer at work. You can leave programs running at work and then, when you get back, you can see the desktop of your computer work displayed on your computer at home, with the same programs running.

    Remote assistance:
When you encounter a computer problem, you sometimes can help someone else. You can use Windows Remote Assistance to invite someone to connect to your computer and help you, even if that person isn't nearby. (Make sure you only ask someone that you trust, because the other person will have access to your files and personal information.) Once connected, the other person can view your computer screen and chat with you everything you see. With your permission, your helper can use his mouse and keyboard to control your computer and show you how to solve a problem. You can also help someone else the same way. This technology is called Remote Assistance.

  • MCE IR remote stops working when connected via Remote Desktop Win7

I recently added an IR remote for my computer to Windows 7 (32 bit Ultimate) that I use mainly for playback of mp3. The remote control is only an AVS Gear MG-IR01BK Windows Vista/Window7 MCE Remote control infrared works by attached USB "infrared transceiver eHome.  When I physically connect the machine IR remote works perfectly; as soon as I connect via remote IR Office stops responding.  I had to configure the Audio remotely to RDP to get this to work correctly, but I can't find any setting that controls in response to the infrared remote control.  My quest for answers has turned up nothing so far, someone has suggested?

Thanks for the suggestion.  At thegreenbutton.com behavior that I have reported was confirmed by others (the MCE Remote control is a HID device, so is related to the "console"). VNC is a viable alternative to remote desktop. I ended up using TightVNC (RealVNC purchase required for support of Windows 7), and the infrared remote control continues to work when I access the machine via the VNC viewer.   I want to remote desktop could provide this capability, but at least I have a working with VNC solution.

  • Windows Media Center crashes under Remote Desktop connection after the installation of KB2592687

When you view another computer (Win7 Pro for Win7 Pro) via the remote desktop connection, this (KB2592687) update causes Windows Media Center not start or leave immediately, in both cases briefly showing a popup that reads:

Windows Media Center has stopped working

Both computers have installed KB259687.  WMC works by connecting directly to each machine.  If KB259687 is uninstalled on the machine connected remotely via the remote desktop connection, you can run once again, WMC in the distance window.  Note the video is not available, but you are able to verify existing records, change the calendar, see the rack TV, etc. (everything as before).  Records on demand on the PC are working correctly, I had a crash the system (blue screen) apparently because of this.

Note that there is no problem watching a WMC when using desktop remote connection to a Pro Win8 machine when connected to a machine, Win7 Pro.  WMC is installed on the machine Win8 Pro and is adjustable from inside the Desktop Login window on the Win7 Pro machine remotely.

I had the same problem, but uninstalling the update didn't fix it for me.   I have studied and found that permissions for key reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\Rdp-Tcp included not all permissions for the users group, just like the other subkeys.  Maybe the update of above RDP modified these permissions?  In any case, when I added for this key for users read permissions, shell new WMC would begin in an RDP session.  I also found this race the ehshell 'as administrator' would work under RDP, but this was not necessary in the past.
