View Nx stops working

Any ideas on why my nikon View NX program stops working and has to close?

Hi nikonlover,

1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2. What is the exact error message that you receive?

Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer are in conflict with the printing process.
I suggest you perform the clean boot procedure and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
3. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

  • Search in the internal pdf viewer has stopped working

Cntrl-F brings up find ok, but after that no hits ever.

It could be the work of one of your modules. Type of topic: addons in the address bar to open your add-ons Manager. Access key; (Mac=) A)

In the Manager of Add-ons, on the left, select Extensions. Disable some add-ons, then restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and modules of Kaspersky Anti-virus are known to cause problems with Firefox. Disable all of them.

If the problem persists, disable some more (restarting FF). Keep doing this until the problem is gone. After, you know which group is the origin of the problem. Reactivate the last group ONE AT A TIME (reboot FF) until the problem reports.

Once you think that you have found the issue, that disable and reactivate all the others, then stop and try again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.

    HI Bill,

    Apology for a late reply.

Here is a link that will help you know how to add the library in the navigation pane:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/working-with-navigation-pane#1TC=Windows-7

If you say that the problem is specific in the library folder (which has pictures, music, videos and Documents), you can try the steps to restore the default library.

Check also if the default program on the computer to open the Photos is set appropriately. You can follow the steps from the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/change-default-programs#1TC=Windows-7

  • Viewer, exe has stopped working

Viewer.exe has stopped working... Why does this happen?

From an internet search, viewer.exe is Malware. You need an Antivirus to scan your computer for this virus. If you don't have an Antivirus, you can download Microsoft Security Essentials for free. I have provided a link below to download Microsoft Security Essentials. It protects against viruses, malware and spyware. It also provides protection and automatic updates in real-time without having to do it manually.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/securevista

If it is a different type of Viewer, you can ignore the instructions on Antivirus. You need to give more detail on when you experience this problem.

What is your operating system? What level of service pack?
What is the product of the Viewer?
What were you doing when you received the error?

Please answer back with more details.

    Thank you

Here's what worked for me, after days of frustration and bad advice from idiots on Web sites.  I do not know. Maybe I'll turn out to be one of those idiots.  That's it: click Start.  In the search box, type Services.msc.  Scroll to Bluetooth stuff.  This is the alphabetical order.  Find Bluetooth Device Monitor, or something to that effect.  By simple click, double-click, or right-click.  I don't remember.  Turn it on!  For some reason, it has been disabled on my computer.
